I have now consulted with 20 plastic surgeons. I have tried almost everything - acupuncture. LLLT stands for low-level laser therapy, massage, nerve pills, etc. Two different NYC surgeons performed the two major surgeries. Each surgery helped somewhat; however, it was not enough as I am still in search of relief. The nightmare continues as my bank account dwindles. I would trade my discomfort for a visible scar running across my face. Please learn from my mistake, and let me say it is better to feel good than to look good. From what I understand, Dr. Jacono is under investigation by the Office of Professional Conduct. No surprise here.

On January 22, 2016 I found myself in the scariest situation I have ever been in personally. An injury occurred at work that landed me in the Emergency Room in a panic. I was seen by an on call doctor who suggested I wait for Dr. Sasson to evaluate my injury. I was hit on my face while working and a swelling began that was considerable and painful. The second Dr. Sasson saw me he made me feel safe and secure. I have never had an injury like this and with both my parents deceased I was very upset and overwhelmed. He pulled me aside into a side room and worked on a procedure to reduce my swelling. He provided me with strict instructions as I left the hospital. I quickly searched Dr. Sasson's education background and reviews online and like my experience there was nothing undesirable to say. Unfortunately, my injury enlarged again overnight and I went back to the Emergency room in the morning. I was scared to death with the thought of surgery and asked my nurse to please call my Plastic Surgeon. Dr. Sasson was called in through a blizzard and sat next to me and explained what he was going to do and that I would not feel a thing. His bedside manners were more than I could have ever asked for as well as his prompt reaction to my situation. I never felt rushed into anything and really learned about what was going on before any steps were taken. Follow up visits at his office have also been wonderful. He truly cares about every patient and their needs. He is cautious and concerned with my feelings and shares his opinions up front. His staff is delightful and well organized, you never feel rushed or forgotten about through an appointment. Without any hesitation I will say Dr. Sasson is one of the greatest and most compassionate doctors out there. There are only positive things to say about this superior Plastic Surgeon, you should be honored to have him on your team at Winthrop Hospital. The office manager/administrator is nasty! Isn't available to speak with us, out of the office,…read moreetc. These positions could make or break a practice and it's not fair to the doctor that depends on patients and their health and happiness. It's all about comfort and safety for all involved. Dr. Sasson is a professional and well respected and liked physician and person. If the office notified him of issues, he would gladly and willingly help solve any issues.

Dr. Gold epitomizes professionalism, ethics and a master at his craft. It took me 15 years of physical therapy that resulted in a herniated disc to agree to a breast reduction. It went from a look at the girls to perky, proportioned and pain free. I am utterly amazed and somewhat disappointed that I had not been introduced to him earlier in life. He did not encourage me to get additional work especially if it was unwarranted. His team even fights the insurance companies to fulfill obligations. They just do not make them like this anymore. The lady at the front desk was being very rude raising her voice and tries to convince me that I need to see the physician assistant instead and wouldn't allow me to visit for my annual because I came in for one 11 months ago. I'm tired of these kind of conversations from that office. Finding another pcp. This is office is a joke.

The decision for me to get rhinoplasty was a very difficult one. If you were to ask any person I know whether or not I should have gotten the surgery they would have instantly answered no, because they felt there was nothing wrong with the way I already looked. I was not your typical case with a bulbous/bumpy/hawk nose where surgery would have been an obvious decision for the better. BUT having broken my nose 4+ times (soccer) and being unhappy with the minor imperfections from other surgeons I had been to in the past, I decided to move forward and go for it anyway because I had the opportunity and felt confident in the surgeon. Dr. DeVita was recommended to me through someone I did not know directly but once I walked out of my consultation I was sold. Dr. DeVita was very patient and I felt for the first time that a surgeon actually understood exactly what I wanted. My two fears were ending up having a nose with a scoop, and/or a turned up tip. I think these are a telltale sign of a fake nose. In every photo he showed me from his before & after book looked natural and proportionate without the hang ups above. I had shopped around with quite a few other doctors and knew that if I was going to go through with this surgery it had to be with DeVita. Even though I had a strong feeling that I was in the right hands, it still took me a couple of months to actually book surgery because I still had apprehensions about certain things... was this doctor just a really good talker/seller? I thought, could he be any good if he offers free consultations? Is a city Dr. better? One of his employees, LeeAnn, never answers the phone (only returns a voicemail, which bothers me a lot), I read a few reviews that sounded like horror stories detailing he has his secretaries write positive reviews, all of which had me tossing back and forth for a while. It was his understanding, confidence, attention to detail, photos, bedside manner, recommendation (I ended up being able to talk directly to this person, where they told me I had nothing to worry about and after her surgery 3 other family members/relatives went on to use him as well), and gut feeling that made me pull the trigger. It is not even 2 weeks after my surgery and I could not be happier. I think it is important to mention that I cried myself to sleep one night after the surgery because I was so nervous and was thinking, "I was beautiful before, why did I do this? I ruined everything." But as soon as the cast was taken off my nose a week later I knew I had nothing to worry about it. Immediately through the swelling I could tell that everything I asked for was done to perfection. The best part about it is that it only gets better and better as the swelling goes down. My 2 fears never came to fruition- my nose looks completely natural and subtle. In terms of the surgery experience, I am 28, first nose break was when I was 17. My mother met Dr. DeVita first at pre-op and my father day of operation. They both instantly took a liking to him as well. The entire team was very personable before and on the day of surgery. My nurses Wendy and Joanne were very, very nice and made me feel comfortable and safe especially being that this was my first time ever going under for anything. I heard from Dr Devita and the anesthesiologist the night of to check that everything was okay. Recovery...it looks like it is worse than it is. My nose had to be broken so I got black eyes + swelling. It made me look like I was in major pain but all I felt was congested and numb. Through everything I never even took a Tylenol. The only pain there is, is if you accidentally touch your nose hard, otherwise it only looks bad. Well, I hope this was helpful!! Good luck and CHOOSE DR DEVITA! You are in great hands. After two cesareans and being diagnosed with diastasis recti my stomach was large, round and extremely uncomfortable. When no amount of diet and exercise diminished the appearance of what looked like a six months pregnant belly I felt hopeless. I was asked "when are you due?" so many times that it made my usual happy outgoing personality change into someone who was self conscious, embarrassed and ashamed of how I looked. My appearance changed me from being the life of the party to someone who would shy away from the spotlight. I was truly at my wits end when I was finally referred to Dr. Devita by a friend who had a procedure done by him, (and who looks fantastic!), so I decided to book a consult for abdominoplasty with liposuction. I was extremely nervous but Dr. Devita immediately put me at ease. He explained the procedure and recovery in detail and took his time answering my many questions. His fabulous before and after pictures of his work along with his warm and caring bedside manner made me instantly comfortable and I knew right away that I'd be in good hands with him. Dr. Devita and his staff, especially his nurse Wendy, we're so helpful and caring. They held my hand every step of the way to ease my nerves and made sure that my husband was kept informed at all times. From our first meeting to the days after my surgery, Dr. Devita truly cared about how I was doing and called me everyday post-op to check on me. It's now two weeks post-op and I feel GREAT and, although still sensitive very swollen, I am ecstatic with the results!! Dr. Devita truly worked his magic and gave me back my confidence. He completely changed my life and I am forever grateful. To say the least, my experience with Dr. Devita and his staff far surpassed my every expectation. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a great doctor and he is the only one I will go to if I need something in the future. Dr. DeVita did amazing work and I am so happy with everything he has done. I am almost 2 weeks post-op from a corrective Breast surgery by Dr. DeVita. I had surgery 3 months ago by a different doctor and was botched I had many complications, after 3 months of complications, and what I call "hell", I went to Dr. DeVita for help. I was referred to him by a friend who had multiple good experiences with him...He took so much time to review and discuss the procedure and listen to exactly what I wanted the end result to be. He was detail in what could be fixed and what couldn't be completely corrected. I am so pleased with the results. He made all corrections necessary and fixed all that needed to be fixed exactly to how he described it. After my last surgery I didn't know what to expect I had so much discomfort, pain and looked terrible for 3 months...Like I said I am now almost 2 weeks post-op and I am feeling great able to function normally, healing well and my breast look great! I would also like to take the time to recognize his staff as well, everyone was so nice and helpful and comforting, I was anxious to have this surgery sooner than later because of what I was dealing with from the first surgery, it was Easter week and they didn't have an opening they worked on it and did all they could and they made sure to get me in ASAP for surgery...Thank You LeeAnne and all the rest of the staff. As a patient who has experienced what a bad doctor can do, I would never recommend or review a doctor unless I had complete faith in him...With that said, I would Highly recommend Dr. DeVita to anyone and have already to a couple of friends...Thank you Dr. DeVita, there not enough words to say how thankful I am!!! read more

After having considered getting rhinoplasty surgery for over 10 years, I finally decided to do so with Dr. DeVita. A close family friend referred him to me after having a very successful operation with him. I had a deviated septum and a slightly crooked nose. I also have an identical twin sister and wanted to make sure we looked the same; this was an important factor for me, as I didn't want to look like I had a "nose job". I met with Dr. DeVita for a consult, and immediately felt comfortable with him. He has a great personality, but is honest and straight forward about what he's doing. I did extensive research, and this doctor is the BEST of the best. I don't mess around with my health and knew that I wanted the top surgeon in the world to fix my nose. Luckily, we don't live too far but I would have travelled to meet with him. I'm writing this review 2 weeks after my operation. It is still swollen still (due to the operation) but, I truly am so happy with my results! My nose is better than I could have ever imagined and I cannot tell you how grateful I am for Dr. DeVita. This man is not only the most talented plastic surgeon I've ever seen, he is a sculptor. I've heard of him being the "DaVinci of noses" and that is the best description for the work he does. My nose doesn't even look like I had work done- I had no pain (and I'm very sensitive), I can breathe perfectly and I can honestly say I look more like my twin than I ever have! Dr devita helped me when I was turned away by over ten surgeons. I had a very large "bulge" on my back caused from a previous emergency back surgery. The "bulge" was very painful and not aesthetically pleasing since this is a rare problem most surgeons gave me the run around or had no idea what to do with me. Dr devita put me at ease from the beginning I was obviously nervous and losing hope that it would ever be fixed. Dr. Devita came up with a plan and fixed my side so that it doesnt cause me pain and looks the way it did before I had my rib removed. Dr devita also fixed my nose. I could never breathe and had no idea why; it turned out I had two deviated septums and other problems such as a very large hole inside my nose. Ive never liked the way my nose looked ever. devita is like an artist with a scapel my nose looks perfect and completely natural like I was born with it. Because ive had many back surgeries ive had many scars and scars with indents from taking bone graphs, etc. Dr devita was able to fix my scars in the office to make them barely noticeable he also fixed the "holes" that I was left with. Highly recommend this wonderful surgeon! I went to see Dr. Gregory DeVita in December of 2015. I was looking for a solution for the pannus that had developed as a result of the 3rd of my abdominal surgeries. Dr. DeVita was recommended to me by my colon surgeon AND my cardiologist - two doctors that I greatly respect. From our first meeting, I was sure he was the right doctor for me. I found Dr. DeVita to be kind, caring, professional and considerate. He listened to my story, my concerns and detailed his plan for helping me. He made me feel very comfortable. On subsequent visits, he explained the procedure and the recovery in great detail. He made sure I knew exactly what to expect. After surgery, he personally called me at home for several days in a row. He made sure that I had his cell phone number so that I could text him with any concerns that I had. He always got right back to me when I did. He has stayed in contact with me during my entire recovery (still presently ongoing). I had been contemplating having a neck lift/face lift for the past few years. I researched plastic surgeons in the tristate area and am happy to have found Dr DeVita. I knew 2 women who had gone to him (one for an eye lift, one for a full face lift/neck lift/eye lift) and they both look beautiful. During the initial consultation Dr DeVita was engaging and patient, I was pleased with his professional manner, years of experience, and his knowledge of the latest techniques. I had a list of questions, which were all answered thoroughly. At the second consultation, I could tell that Dr DeVita was studying me and formulating a plan for my procedure. He took numerous pictures and assured me that I would still look like me. At our final meeting prior to surgery he had a folder of printed photos (with written notes). It was very evident that he had spent a lot of time on my case, and I could tell I was in good hands. I am currently 3 months post-surgery and I couldn't be more delighted!! 3 weeks ago I had rhinoplasty performed by Doctor DeVita and not only did his work change my life, but it also influenced what I want to study in college. I have wanted this surgery since I was 13 years old, and now being 18 right before entering my freshman year of college, my parents let me have this surgery. I was so nervous going through all the consultations and also anxious because my time was limited. From the moment Doctor DeVita met with me, I knew he was the surgeon for me. He moved the process along and made sure I would go to college comfortably with a nose I'd love. He walked me through the surgery and I felt great. I had my cast taken off two weeks ago and my nose was beautiful and that moment changed my life forever. Recovery wasn't difficult, he called the night after my surgery to make sure I was ok, I didn't bruise, and I was back into my normal routine after a few days. I recently went to Dr DeVita for a consult. I had a double mastectomy 7 years ago and I was unhappy with the results all these years later. I also had concerns about a severe case of diastasis recti that I was presenting with after the birth of my third child. I knew immediately that Dr DeVita was the doctor that I was going to choose. I have seen many doctors with my history of breast cancer, from surgeons to oncologists, and he is the best of the best. My husband agreed. My reconstruction and abdominoplasty were a success. I have been to many doctors over the course of my life, and I can honestly say I've never experienced a level of service and care like I received with Dr. Devita. I had a breast reduction with Dr. Devita and during my recovery, I could text him at any time and he would get back to me. I have NEVER experienced that with a doctor. He did an excellent job with my surgery and I love the way I look now. I'd happily send friends and family to him. The office staff is right on top of their stuff, too. I never had to call about forgotten prescriptions or anything like that, and the medical assistants were kind and thorough during appointments. There are lots of surgeons who will be happy to take your money and then be unreachable after surgery or take days to return calls - believe me, I've read and heard about it! I waited 29 years to have my nose fixed and met with tons of plastic surgeons and never felt secure and/or comfortable enough with their work. I saw Dr. DeVita's work on a friend of mine and her nose came out gorgeous. Immediately I booked a consultation, felt 100% positive that Dr. DeVita was the right doctor for me. He made me feel so comfortable and confident that my severely crooked and broken nose could be straightened out and that he could fix my deviated septum. The surgery went way better than I had ever expected, no pain and recovery was quick. I am only 2 weeks fresh out of surgery and ALREADY LOVEEE my new nose. Dr. Gregory DeVita is an incredible surgeon, and I couldn't be happier with my experience with him. From the very first consultation, I felt confident that Dr. DeVita was the best doctor to perform my surgery. I came to the appointment without any pictures, and he was able to deliver the exact results I wanted. I can't begin to express how experienced, knowledgeable, and honest Dr. DeVita is; he is truly a master at his craft! Not only was I extremely happy with the results of my surgery, but I was so impressed by the care provided by Dr. DeVita and his team. The nurses and operating room staff were empathetic, patient, and understanding throughout the entire process. They answered all of my questions and concerns with confidence. Dr. DeVita did the most amazing job on my son's septorhinoplasty. As a mom, I was very worried about the procedure and the results, but Dr. DeVita took care of all of that - he reassured both my son and me many times. He was patient, he explained every detail, and he made sure that he and my son had the same expectations of the surgery. Pre-surgical procedures were seamless, as was the day of surgery. Dr. DeVita was wonderful both in and out of the operating room. He did an excellent job and found me right away to let me know when it was over and how it went. Post op visits were the same easy, positive experience. Dr. DeVita was responsive, caring, and professional. His bedside manner is fantastic. For a surgery that I did not want my son to have, we could not be happier. Highly recommend Dr. DeVita. read more

In December 2014, I had a rhinoplasty done by Dr. Devita. The second i met him and his team i knew he was the right doctor to have the surgery done by. Not only did he make me feel extremely comfortable, but he answered every question that i had. The recovery was speedy and I didnt have any bruising because of how well of a job he did. After I got my cast off, i was in shock with how my nose looked! He did an outstanding job. I wanted a very natural nose and he gave me exactly what i wanted. I am extremely happy with the outcome of my nose and i would completely recommend Dr. Devita not only for his outstanding perfomance on my nose, his high quality service, extremely friendly and personable, but his ability to work well and please his patients! read more

The best and exceptional surgeon I couldn't be more than happier and thankful to Doctor De vita!! I highly recommend him along with his exceptional and caring, experience and professional staff. From the moment that I walked into doctor De Vita's office I felt comfortable and trusted in his long medical experience. He did a remarkable tummy tuck on me and I couldn't be more grateful. I really appreciate him walking with me through my recovery process. I am in my third month since my surgery has been completed and I'm feeling outstanding. I went to Dr. DeVita to fix a deviated septum and to discuss a rhinoplasty (which I ended up getting) in 2018. He made me feel extremely comfortable and assured me he would not let me leave the surgery without looking perfect. It's almost four years later and I could not be happier with my results! A few days after my surgery I actually hit my head which caused a bleed that put me back in the hospital. I called Dr. DeVita at 3 AM and he met me at the hospital right away. He called to check on me throughout the recovery and personally made sure I was ok to go on my discharge day. I have recommended Dr. DeVita to multiple people who have nothing but positive things to say as well. I highly recommend him! read more

I highly recommend Dr. DeVita for rhinoplasty. I debated getting the surgery for years -- I had a deviated septum and a bump I disliked, but I was really nervous about the process. I ultimately decided to go to Dr. DeVita because he had been recommended to me and was very reassuring when I met him for the initial consultation. He explained the surgical process in detail and answered my many questions. He was thorough and attentive on surgery day (he even called me that night to see how I was recovering) and throughout the entire post-op process. His work was excellent. My breathing has improved significantly and I love how natural and pretty my nose looks. I'm really glad I went to Dr. DeVita. read more

Can't believe I've never written a review for Dr. Monhian…read more Lets go back... to 5 years ago, when I first started experiencing dizziness for weeks and weeks that was only getting worse by the day. To make matters worse, my right ear was throbbing, and I went to my regular doctor, who said, "It's all in your head. Nothing is wrong with you." Okay, so after that prognosis, I'm thinking I'm going crazy. Two weeks later, with the family breaking bread around the Thanksgiving Dinner table, I end up collapsing. (And, no I didn't even get to eat anything- nice timing on my part). Rushed to LIJ and I'm screaming in pain, my ear felt like someone had sawed if off and spilled acid down what was left of my ear canal. The ER doctor looks at my ear and says, "Shes fine, put drops in it." Okay, so now my entire family thinks im being my typical drama queen self. Yet they still prescribed me pain killers. The following morning, I can't even walk straight, the pain was that unbearable. My mom Googles ENT's, and Monhian was the first to come up in the search. By the time I got to the his office, I almost collapsed. He reacted so fast, he took one look in my ear and saw a huge infected bubble blocking my ear drum. The infection was so bad, he told me I was probably going to lose 50% of my hearing in my right ear. I was terrified!!! TWO doctors missed this??!!! Where the hell are the people getting their degrees? He told me he would do everything in his power to prevent that. This dude prescribed the right meds from the start. He would spend so much time looking at the X-rays, trying to figure out the best way to go about killing the infection. He was so positive, he always made me feel like I was going to be okay. After 4 months of pills, draining etc. Ladies and gents I have perfect hearing in both my ears and I owe everything to this man. I've been back to his office a few times since that whole ordeal, and no matter what I've ever gone to him for he has always helped me. His wife is also a cosmetologist and she's amazing. I believe she still works out of his office a couple of times a week. You can call the office to make an appointment. Thank you Dr. Monhian!
