Two years ago we had lightening hit the pole next to us which damaged many electronics in our home and we get many power outages. We had them out like three times and they could not fix our issue and thought we were nuts when we would tell them our door was opening on it's own and they thought they fixed it but they did not. We stopped calling them and we replaced a light bulb in the opener and it fixed it. Now why in the world didn't they know to do that. Hundreds of dollars later we have given up on calling them. Due to the poorer condition of the equipment (the rod was damaged by a previous install or repair), the job took longer than expected, but they pushed through and got it fixed the same day. I called for service around 10 AM and was told they could do same-day service. I was given a…read moretwo-hour window (between 3-5 PM). I was told they would phone me upon arrival at my house. It was okay that I wasn't there, because the door was stuck open. True to word, technician Brad phoned me from my driveway and told me what he believed was wrong with the door (we agreed). He was there at 2:20! He gave me an estimate over the phone, which I verbally approved. When I got home at 4:15, the door was repaired and he had a new remote control for me. He showed me what he did to repair it. I paid with my Visa the exact amount he quoted me, and he drove away. I was very happy with the service from start to finish. The phone was answered by a real person who exhibited kindness and professionalism. She told me the technician's name, and I could see his photo on the website. They do background checks and drug testing of their employees. The technician was early, in uniform, and very professional. I am very pleased.

One of our three garage doors (#2) needed help - had a little "fender bender" on it and it was in…read morebad shape. Called GDM because they were close. Chris said he could stop and take a look the next morning. He showed up when he said he would and quickly inspected it. Said he could adjust it on-the-spot and we were so glad. He then said not to get too happy because #1 had a broken spring! I couldn't believe I had not noticed it before but there it was - in TWO pieces. He said he may have a set of springs on the truck - he would check. Sure enough. Our lucky day - he had a set with him. He installed a new set of springs for door #1 and tightened up a number of screws, adjusted some other brackets, etc. , on all three doors. He also sprayed a lubricating treatment on all moving pieces on all doors. All three doors are now running quiet and smooth. We cannot believe our good luck picking GDM off the list on-line. Don't trust somebody else. This guy knows just what the heck is going on for these doors. He turned a lousy day into a great day for us. Thanks so much, Chris. On a scale of 1-10, you get a 20!!!
