He pays attention to details, remembers (or takes notes) on personal conversation, and has a good bedside manner. He tends to give standard treatments for diagnoses, but this is adequate for the little I've needed. He would get 4-5 stars. The office was once very responsive, but now that it is part of Advocate, is tedious and far from responsive. It takes two weeks to get anything by mail - prescriptions or results. This seems to be that mail has to go through some kind of corporate mail room. It makes no sense, but has been consistent, and has been an issue at least the past two years with no resolution. The billing seems awkward, though in the end, fair. The facility does have most of what one would need, including ACL for blood work, on premises.

I was out of work for over 6 weeks and in agonizing pain due to the multiple misdiagnosis including sending me to a surgeon to have major surgery. Needless to say I never needed the surgery. A lay person would have had more common sense then the treatment plan they laid out for me. I had to keep going back because I was on an HMO plan and they were handling my disability claim at the time. I am so glad I followed my instincts and insisted they send me to a specialist, who finally diagnosed my condition, which by the way was all due to the medication the PA prescribed. I highly considered filling a law suit. In my opinion their was malpractice and a lack of training which resulted in unnecessary pain and suffering which could have been avoided.This experience left me scared and financially vulnerable. He is congenial, with a good sense of humour, and always makes us feel welcome. However, he is also quite direct and blunt when discussing medical situations and options -- which my husband and I particularly appreciate. He makes (strong) treatment recommendations -- although offering alternatives -- but lets the patient make the final decision. When we have had an "urgent" medical problem, he has always found a way to fit us into his busy schedule. He has our highest recommendation! A few years ago, we did have some unpleasant interactions with staff members -- rudeness, brusqueness, lack of organisation. However, the current staff group are welcoming, friendly well organised and very helpful in unraveling any problems.

When we arrived, we had a bit of a challenge. We showed up at 8:50 AM, 10-minutes before our appointment. A little after 9, they opened the door and said our appointment was at 10. We showed them the confirmation, but they hadn't yet. About 10-minutes went by before they let us in. So, confusion about the time was an issue but they apologized and rectified it within 10-minutes. So, they did make it up, but it did cost them a point. The tests were painless, of course, and took a few minutes. THE VERY NEXT DAY we had our results. We've taken a number of these tests since they were available and most took longer. Overall, it was a good experience. I can't speak at all to their other services, but I think they do a nice job with their COVID tests.

I don't know why nurse practitioners are in the legal business. But as it turns out, the lawyer was a fraud and was not representing me at all. I can't help but wonder if my employer didn't send me here for this experience. I called Bianca about it and she started yelling at me telling me I was mentally ill. She sent me discharge papers from our phone call stating that I was delusional and hostile. I was certainly hostile but delusional is a medical diagnosis. That's not typically how diagnosises are made. They don't seem to care much about human beings at all here.
