I have a lot of really good things to say about Dr Weiss. The reasons that I have given her a less…read morethan stellar rating are mainly the practice where she works and the people on her staff. 1. My wife and I both find the front office staff rude and abrupt to the point of being alienating. They have been this way more or less for the 2 years we have been going to this office. We feel hesitant to even go into the office given this belligerent attitude. 2. It is very difficult to get an appointment unless it's an emergency and then they can get you in the same day but not necessarily with Dr Weiss. You can wait up to three months to get an appointment for a physical. The office continually recommends you see a nurse instead of Dr Weiss due to her schedule. What is the point of having a primary care physician if they continue to try and schedule you with some other person? 3. On a recent appointment I was suppose to see Dr Weiss - according to the front desk - but the doctor had left by the time I arrived on time for the appointment. Instead I saw a nurse practitioner and she basically said she couldn't find anything wrong with me but if my symptoms persisted I should get a chest x-ray and to call the office to schedule. After continuing to feel bad I called the office to arrange for an x-ray but they gave me the run around and never bothered to call me back that day. I eventually went to see another doctor and he properly diagnosed me very quickly. Also, the staff and nurses at this new office were very professional and friendly. Dr Weiss is a very good doctor but surrounded by less than professional staff. I also think she needs to do something about her schedule - what is the point of having a primary care physician if you cant see her? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am adding to this review after another unpleasant experience with Dr Weiss' office. I asked the office staff to send me my medical records on a jumpdrive so I could give them to my new physician. They did so - but they sent it to the WRONG address, an address I haven't lived at for over 5 months. What is it with these people? Now my medical information is god knows where. After seeing 9 doctors and specialists within 12…read moremonths, I was ready to give up on the idea that there were any medical professionals left who would care to help me, let alone just listen to me before making medical decisions. Prior to my first appointment, I made the decision that Complete Family Wellness would be my last attempt at finding a medical professional to help me. The owner, and my provider Helen Muchow FNP-BC, FPA, APRN, MSN, changed my quality of life from 5% to 80% in my FIRST visit. We are currently working on the other 20% (mostly due to medical insurance roadblocks). Helen was not only professional, but actually LISTENED to every word I was saying, then took that information and developed a care plan WITH me, instead of just telling me what to do and sending me on my way with a prescription. I've been seeing Helen for over a year now, and her quality of care has not changed, even as she has taken over her staff's caseload as she is on maternity leave. I was a medical provider myself, so I understand the back-end (billing, insurance, etc). She does not rush through my appointment, like every other doctor/specialist I've seen, just to be able to see more patients in a day= more $$= $$ above "doing no harm." Most insurance companies will pay a higher rate for the first 15 minutes of an appointment, and a lower rate is paid for any time over 15 minutes. Helen takes the time to get her job done- above and beyond! Complete Family Wellness also has an on-site lab, so most standard blood work, and other labs can be done right away, during your appointment. Did I mention? Complete Family Wellness also has MOBILE services! They will come to you, in the comfort of your own home. Additionally, Helen is a veteran and accepts military insurance (Tricare West), which many providers do not accept due to Tricare's very low rates- yet another way she demonstrates how dedicated she is in helping people, and not treating us like cogs. On top of all this, Complete Family Wellness's staff are professional, very prompt in responding to any problems that come up between appointments, and make you feel like you matter!

Even my insurance company says they've never dealt with anyone like her. Sadly, I fear my FPN Jamie Basten also did not have my wellbeing in mind judging from her unresponsiveness to my medication needs. Helen is a no go, too. I called my insurance company (medicare) and was told that my insurance will cover all the vaccines. Went to Walgreens the next day and received all necessary vaccines. Would not recommend them.

He tends to give standard treatments for diagnoses, but this is adequate for the little I've needed. He would get 4-5 stars. The office was once very responsive, but now that it is part of Advocate, is tedious and far from responsive. It takes two weeks to get anything by mail - prescriptions or results. This seems to be that mail has to go through some kind of corporate mail room. It makes no sense, but has been consistent, and has been an issue at least the past two years with no resolution. The billing seems awkward, though in the end, fair. The facility does have most of what one would need, including ACL for blood work, on premises.

I am so glad I followed my instincts and insisted they send me to a specialist, who finally diagnosed my condition, which by the way was all due to the medication the PA prescribed. I highly considered filling a law suit. In my opinion their was malpractice and a lack of training which resulted in unnecessary pain and suffering which could have been avoided.This experience left me scared and financially vulnerable.
