The staff listened to my plight and was able to get me an appointment first thing the next morning with Dr. Faresi. I arrived, completed the new patient paperwork and was seen by Dr. Faresi within 15 minutes. His bedside manner was kind, gentle and made me feel comfortable in a very uncomfortable situation. Within 30 seconds he confirmed I needed surgery ASAP. He and his staff scheduled me the same day for an out patient procedure across the street at Bethesda East. My first surgery ever! Words alone can't express how thankful I am to Dr. Faresi and the staff at this location. My health and well being were a priority to them from the moment I called them. My follow-up appoinemt went as smoothly as my first. The waiting area is quite busy but there are several Doctors at this office and the wait is not long at all. Trust me I was in and out in 35 minutes for my follow-up visit. If you need any type of consultation or surgery I highly recommend Dr. Faresi.

Well, I am in pain and a mistake is not what I want to hear right now when I know I was specific. I work in the medical field as well so I know the importance of making sure I see a participating provider. I was told I can "JUST PAY" That was not the answer I needed. She then made a face at me and asked if I wanted to speak w/ the office manager.. sure I said... Well HELLO it's me Sara.. lol Really. If this is who they wish to represent them well I am glad I left. She is a not cut out for any position in healthcare. They may have a good reputation but a staff member like that will lose them business. Shame on her for not caring about her job enough to worry that someone was in pain and needed to be seen. I started making payments as soon as I started receiving bills in the mail. I started getting collection notices in the mail even though I was paying as much as I could each month. The woman I spoke to from this office. Said "well ya it's a lot of money. So it's not enough". The $1500 that's owed to that office wasn't 1/2 of what I had to take care of from the hospital after the procedure. So I was spread very thin. The woman I spoke to was so kind and said I could still pay the office, but they can't take it out of collection.... I asked to speak with someone that could provide a little more information. She said her manager the busy so she was going to call me back. 3 weeks later... no message received. HORRIBLE PRACTICE.

This particular marker (F-785), installed in 2013 by the Robert Neff Family, the Delray Beach Historical Society, and the Florida Department of State, tells the story of how this area's healthcare system came to be. The surrounding community was first settled in the late 1890s, when medical care was extremely limited. For decades, a small number of doctors and midwives served the area, and the nearest hospital was 18 miles away in West Palm Beach. Critically ill patients often had to be transported by horse and buggy or even fire engine--journeys that were sometimes fatal. In 1947, local civic leaders and physicians formed the Gulfstream Hospital Association to address this urgent need. After years of effort--raising funds, establishing a taxing district, and securing land--the 70-bed Bethesda Memorial Hospital opened on February 9, 1959. Named after the biblical Pool of Bethesda, symbolizing healing, the hospital began with 32 doctors and six dentists. Its first patient underwent an emergency appendectomy, and its first baby was born just a week later. The hospital quickly grew, expanding within six months of opening. Today, as Bethesda Hospital East, it is part of Baptist Health and has evolved into a 401-bed, full-service medical center with more than 500 physicians across 40 specialties.
