The phone has been disconnected, the web page is down and State Farm no longer lists an office in Chalfont. When I called the new office, they said that the accounts were divided up among other offices until State Farm can select a new agent, which they thought would be in December. Too bad, I always received good service here.

Sam himself told me that it would be taken care of. (Sam was the agent before Mr. Butler took over his office.) I did not hear anything back but I assumed that this was added and that they would just add that into my bill. Fast forward one year to Hurricane Sandy. Basement floods again, and ruins the replacement carpet. I call them up asking for a claim under that policy addition and they had no record of it. Great. So I asked for an adjustor to come in and see my damage in the hopes that maybe something could be covered (though probably not). The adjustor took 2 WEEKS to get back to me, with a denial. * State Farm dropped the ball on a rider. * State Farm had horrible followup * State Farm ultimately did not cover what I needed, due to their own fault, and now I'm out some money. Goodbye, State Farm.

I'm traveling to Australia and New Zealand next month and inquired with my bank, various Forex, International Currency Exchange, among others. None of those places could match A&S, who were basically giving me the market rate for Australian currency. The rate for New Zealand currency was also very competitive. On top of that, there were absolutely no fees! In addition, most of the other currency exchanges did not have enough of Australian and New Zealand dollars on hand, whereas A&S had plenty. I couldn't make it in time on the day I called for the quote, but came in the next day and the rate remained the same. The A&S place opens at 11AM and the worker arrived on time. They require showing ID and accept cash only. The person behind the window was meticulous with counting out the money. He was also knowledgeable about different methods of payment countries accept. As we continued the transaction, he became more friendly and welcoming, sharing about his experience visiting Australia many years ago. Coming here was a pleasant experience and I would definitely check this place first to exchange money for all my international travel!

I turned to my tried and true TD Bank who had exchanged my dollars to Guatemalan Quetzales in '23 but their guidelines changed recently and couldn't convert because I don't bank with them. I could've waited til I got to Colombia- but I wanted to at least carry some pesos with me and avoid the search there. Lo and behold, hubs dug deep and found these folks with WEEKEND hours AND, you get your currency on the spot without the 2-3 days waiting period. There are other International Currency Exchange locations, but this one was sort of closest to us on 62nd-63rd Sts & Lexington Ave. Do know that you have to cough up some extra dollars for your foreign currency transaction- but it really wasn't a deal breaker. I'll just plan in advance with my own bank and avoid exchange fees next time around. Albina & the rest of the ladies are phenomenal. These folks kept me informed about their Colombian pesos stock and can't thank them enough.

At the time of the visit, you'll want to look for a kiosk rather than any storefront, like there used to be in some past photos. The exchange rate was a bit expensive and you'd expect it to be not as good compared to getting the exchange in a local country, but at least it's convenient and readily available. This kiosk is nice to have if you're traveling soon and can't wait for your bank to get your currency cash in, but be sure to check that they have the currency you're looking for before showing up. The process of the exchange was smooth and hassle free otherwise, and it's convenient to use if you don't want to go down to Philadelphia.

First of all, the check in clerk (a fill-in during a lunch break) was helping the man in front of me. It took forever, and it was obvious that she was going out of her way to find information that he should have brought with him. That in itself was not the problem, though. I can wait my turn. While I was waiting, though, a man walked in and instead of getting in line behind me, walked right over to one of the windows. Apparently, he didn't have his card, but the clerk, who saw that he hadn't even checked in, told him to come over, he'd help him. Then, when the man in front of me was finally finished, I moved up. When I told the clerk what I wanted, her expression and body language made it perfectly clear that she didn't want to process my purchase. Just then another customer entered and she immediately told me I had to wait so she could check in the person behind me because "this will take awhile." REALLY? I just stood there and waited while she helped the man in front of me and another man bypassed check-in entirely, and she doesn't want to make another customer wait while she rings up my purchase??? Unbelievable. Then the regular clerk returned, the fill-in said "oh you're back" and walked away without a word to me and without telling the other clerk what I was waiting for. I've been a Central Penn AAA customer for many years and have never been treated so rudely.

When I see reviews being extremely critical of a place that has always seemed great to me, i'm sad that they only gave them one chance. if I encountered a rude person I would either assume they were busy, or I'd just brush it off as that person, and not blame the whole companyunless every time I went in there I encountered that person being rude. but, they have always been polite and helpful in my experience over 30-some years. But of course, I don't know the situation so maybe they did encounter one or two people that didn't answer as kindly as they would have liked. The other day I had to call them for roadside service and I was in a hurry and told the dispatcher. I didn't really think it would help because usually most people would say they were in a hurry and probably are, but I was pleasantly surprised at how hard the tow truck driver tried to reach me quickly. It took longer than I expected and he expected, but he got stuck in traffic where a road was unexpectedly closed. I so much appreciated that he kept in touch with me, to let me know why. And I could tell he was frustrated that he couldn't get to me as quickly as he wanted to. So I knew he was trying. This experience was very positive for me, despite the fact that it took a while. But that wasn't the fault of AAA or the tow truck driver. The dispatcher at AAA went out of her way to make my experience a good one.

I had been with State Farm for over 16 years. State Farm being the largest Auto, Homeowner Insurer in the United States, continued to raise my rates, even though I had no claims. My agent was good, but could not explain my excellent "NO" claims history, and continual rise in rates. My agent started to avoid me in asking the yearly questions. In fact, when I called they knew who it was, and what it was about. You would think they would prepare an annual review, before I called them? The Agent is the life line of any company. When I met Greg professionally, I had a sense his direct approach and clear understanding of Insurance, and his client's expectations are his clear focus, which has resulted in his continued success. Thus, I placed a quote for Auto, Home, Personal Property, and Umbrella. Farmer's quote came in significantly lower than State Farm, and the customer service was outstanding. It was also very very easy in this digital world. I would HIGHLY recommend Greg Schnee Agency, and can promise you will get customer service "second to none!"
