When I arrived at the appointment they said they don't make custom inserts. They referred me to a specialist in Hood River. They gave me a business card. I never took off my jacket or my shoes. They billed our government $285.00. I don't like it. No wonder things are so screwed up. I'm asking other Veterans to go somewhere else. Taxpayers as well.

Thinking I might need hip surgery soon, he came in after about a 15 minute wait, barely looked at me and said my hip isn't bone on bone yet and referred me to a back doctor. He spent less than 5 minutes with me. Felt like he didn't take my pain seriously at all. I ended up going to another doctor within the Providence system. Turns out I do need a hip replacement after all. Who knows how long I would have had to wait and be in pain until Dr Dales thought it necessary for a hip replacement. I would not recommend Dr. Dales to anyone who is in pain and may be needing a joint replacement.

Originally fitted me with an unloader brace, Dr Dales stated he could get me 3-5 years more before having replacement surgery- and it was nearly 5 years to the day! Had a total knee replacement in December 2023 and two months later, I feel great! I just followed the regime that Dr. Dales prescribed and life is good again! He tells you how it is and lets you make the decisions. The surgery went smooth, the scar is hardly noticeable and the pain is nearly non-existant. This place is awful, I give it a -0 stars, I went to rebound after having a surgery on my right…read morefoot, had a big open wound on the top of my foot and Dr. Crary wasn't even at my first appointment, had his assistant take a picture of my foot and sent it to him and he immediately wanted to cut my foot off because he said my flesh was not gonna grow over my tendons. I did not believe that, I've always seen myself walking. I saw him in person the following week and he suggested cutting all my toes off and using that flesh to close the wound. He didn't like the fact that I ignored his bad advice, he wanted to do a surgery where he goes in to clean my foot but also amputate if he sees anything, I did not agree to the amputation so when I was preop I had him cross out that part on the paperwork so it would be only a cleaning and he did not like that very much and threatened to drop me as a patient, I dropped him as a doctor thank God. I stopped going to rebound altogether, I ended up going to wound care and getting hyperbaric oxygen therapy and my flesh healed over the tendons within six months. He didn't suggest anything like that that would help me. So glad I trusted my gut and stopped going to this place. If I would have listened to his advice I wouldn't have a foot right now. These doctors don't care about the patient, I'm just money to them.

I was so impressed with the sense of urgency from Alyssa, the very professional office assistant who was helping me. She took my concerns to Dr Albrecht and they called the hospital to get the x-rays and notes from our visit last night. Alyssa followed up with me several times this morning to keep me updated on what they were doing and whether or not we could get my son in today for an appointment. After reviewing x-rays, Alyssa called back and said that my son should see a hand surgeon instead of coming to see them first. Keep in mind that we aren't even patients, but they still invested their time in my concern. A big 'Thanks' to Dr. Albrecht and Alyssa at Advantage Orthopedic!
