Do not recommend, went here for awhile and was always treated pretty rude. But this past time was my last straw with Greene vision. Doctor told me my vision some how had improved, which I feel really isn't possible unless a miracle happened or they tested poorly and wrong in the past. But it didn't stop there, I then went to get new frames and was completely dismissed, not even acknowledged once and ultimately told I needed to wait to be called back as I was taking up room. Overall I am never going back there, do not give your money or time to these people. read more

Medicare users beware! Since my last visit, Grene Vision Group now requires an in-house referral to see one of their opthalmologists even though I was previous patient. This goes against Medicare guidelines which say if a doctor accepts Medicare, you can make an appointment with them directly without a referral of any kind. Just another ploy on Grene Vision's part to get you to pay to see one of their optometrists which traditional Medicare won't cover, before you can see one of their opthalmologists, who don't do eye surgery anyway. If you're like me, save having to see three doctors and just make an appointment directly with an opthalmologist who can examine you and also do surgery, if needed. read more

I went here to get my glasses. They sold me on getting two pair of glasses on a "SPECIAL" they were having. Seven months later I get a bill for the second pair of glasses saying my insurance would not cover. I had to pay, or they were going to turn it in on my credit report. These people are THIEVES!!!! We see Dr Means and have for years. They used to be wonderful staff. Dr Means as always is still very kind. But the staff has gone downhill so bad. People are rude. Kept calling my son James when his name is Jack. Not helpful at all, and just over all terrible attitude. We have been seeing Dr Means for 14 years and had the final straw today. Very Disappointed, we received a call today (again) two reschedule my daughter Abbigale for the third time!!! Guess you don't want to see a young lady with intellectual disabilities! that has Atena Medicare (with vision coverage) and sunflower! today's excuse is the doctor does not take her insurance. which is BS because she would have been told months ago. The Maize office reschedule her a couple of times and then referred her to the ridge road office a couple of months ago. now the ridge office wants to reschedule. in a couple of more months, I bet they will want to reschedule again!!!! their actions are repulsive, and they should be ashamed of themself!!! The optical lab has let us down many times. The lab lost a pair of glasses and as the frame was no longer available, I was SOL and had to procure a frame on my own as they refused to look any further than their own inventory. Their customer service is non-existent... they don't attempt to rectify the situation by offering anything to offset the inconvenience. It's clear Grene's customer satisfaction is driven from the top leaving their managers with zero flexibility. They offered the same 15% they offer anybody without insurance. January of this year I ordered lenses to replace my severely scratched lenses. The optical department experts agreed my current frames would be candidates for the new lenses although there was a chance the frame could break. I understood the risk and chose to proceed. Two weeks later I was informed the frames broke and again as these frames were no longer available, I now was completely SOL. I was aware of the risk, rolled the dice and lost. Not their fault but lab performance not impressive. Now I needed a new frame (with adjustable nose pads) and Grene ordered a pair for my purview. I was told they would contact me when they arrived. Two weeks later I stopped by to check the status and was told they did not order the frames as they were waiting for a final go ahead from me. Not how I remembered the conversation. At this point I lost confidence in the Optical department and requested they void their claim to my insurance allowing me to find a pair elsewhere. Thirty minutes after I left, I received a call from the manager the frames had actually arrived a week prior, and the tech just didn't look hard enough. Hmmm..... my confidence was further eroded. They assured me they would reverse my insurance claim which could take 30 days to post. I found a perfect pair of frames at another provider with nose pads but was on hold awaiting my insurance to be reinstated. Two weeks later I contacted Eye Med and they had not received an insurance void request from Grene. The Eye Med representative in real time contacted Grene and was told the void request was "overlooked" and had not been submitted. The insurance was reinstated immediately. Geez....I guess some jobs are harder than others. With this experience behind me I have decided to move my eye care away form Grene. I am typically a loyal consumer but enough is enough. I hope others have better experiences. read more

there's a girl named Alex that works at one of them and she does drugs a lot of pot and I just would not want to have someone that's high evaluating my eyesight so beware to anyone that goes there dont get looked at by Alexisis clearly they do not drug test there employees whichbis very concerning considering there in the medical field and trusted to do very important things I can't trust they would have someone who wasn't high helping me do the correct testing for my vision read more

I wish I could give more stars honestly! I took my 1 year old to see Dr. Anderson and she was so kind and patient with him. She did anything and everything she could to make him comfortable. Her nurse Kate was awesome with my son as well and made the whole appointment go so smoothly. It is crazy to say but I feel like my toddler honestly had FUN at the Eye Doctor! I have nothing good to say about this place. I had to give them one star in order to post a review but they deserve a big fat 0. Their customer service is horrible. When you call them, you will sit on hold for a minimum of 10 minutes. Can they not afford help? I doubt that. They are the most expensive place in town. I recently changed eye doctors and I can't believe how good I've been treated and the customer service I'm receiving. My 80 year old father in law needs surgery for his cataracts. He's already seen the OD. He now has to wait a month to see the surgeon and then he'll probably have to wait another month for a surgery appointment. It's ridiculous! I saw Dr. Murphy for eye exam plus contact exam. Was given "try out" contacts that did not work out. Then I was told we'd try a "mono" vision. After trying that for one whole day while on vacation, it was evident that that would not work as it fatigued the "contactless" eye & gave me a headache. When we got back I called the office to inform them re: the contacts. Priscilla, of Dr. Murphy's office, called me to say Dr. Murphy said he'd "run out of options", which is ludicrous. She said she'd talk to him & call back. She did & said Dr. Murphy would relook at me, but there would be an "additional" charge. Sorry. That is NOT good customer care. I PAID to have a proper RX that I could wear. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND DR. MURPHY OR GRENE VISION TO ANYONE. PERIOD. read more

The Crizal lens's craze over within one to two months, they replaced once, but the same crazing overcame the new lens's within a month, green vision refused to do any thing. So what good are lens that cost $$$$ and don't last? Where my last purchase there. I do not recommend anyone to purchase their glasses there.... read more

Eye exam and Dr. Means were great. However, the pleasantness stopped there. When I went to view the frames, I was asked to leave the area as no one can be around the frames until called back. Once called back, I was still not allowed to look at the frames. I had to sit in a chair and point to frames that I thought might fit. It was such a Sh** Show. When you are asked to spend a lot of money on glasses, you would expect better service and be allowed to actually look at the variety of frames. I will recommend only for Dr. Means and his professionalism, however, I will never recommend anyone to get glasses there again. read more

So we had got recommended from our doctor to come here for my son. He had a cyst by his eye that came back. My sons mother takes him in today, first and foremost when she arrives. They start with their attitude because of no insurance. Ask her how she intends to pay. Cash she replies, that's how it all started. She gets back to the doctor, lucky I wasn't their because my mouth is hard to keep shut if you are acting like I'm scum because of no insurance. The doctor asks why are you here? His nose- big lump we've taken him to several places last year he has had a lot of antibiotics and we need to get what the real issue is here. You're a specialist tell us what's wrong and work your speciality... The doctor tells her why are you really here for you--because you see a bump or is it for him??? Like huh?? She says Jeffery does it hurt-- doctor says do not ask him?? What kind of a doctor says do not ask your son if something hurts!!! I am furious right now after hearing this after she had left. His mother asks ok can you get the rupture out. They then go on to say it's expensive to expensive? Huh? What kind of a filthy money grubbing doctor say it's to expensive? It's like 2200 if you pay cash 1600.. Ok now I'm a numbers guy. If health insurance costs me 1200 a month for a family Times 12 14,000 a year.!!! I would pay for my family. Now 1600 and regular doc appointment is nothing like that expensive. Please this place has disappointed and disrespected my son and his mother because we want to know what is wrong with my sons eye. If I could leave no stars I would. Paid $60 for absolutely nothing. The rooms were all dark indicating no business. The staff person takes you to a dark room and do perfunctory testing - don't tell you what they are doing or what results were. Optometrist stands laughing outside door, sits down, barely looks at my eye and tells me to wait a month then see an ophthalmologist if no better. Gee thanks. What a time and money waster. read more

The Doctors are fine. The billing department has the most unhelpful and rude person I have ever dealt with.

I'm a 64 year old visually challenged individual who had more eye exams than most. I used to go to a gentleman on the west side of town as he was a friend of my in-laws, but had a recommendation to try the Grene Vision Group in Andover. The eye exam went well enough, but there was NO FITTING of eye ware. Pretty much just cleaned the lenses and handed them to me. Two years later, I thought I would check out there office on E Central. I warned them during my eye exam of the experience I had at the last Grene Vision Group office, and the gentleman doing the exam assured me they had a guy that would really take care of me........well, same thing. Only this time, the lens on my left eye was centered incorrectly. Also had a bad experience with Dr Grene personally in the early days of RK surgery when I went in for an informal meeting about possible surgery. At the end of the hour long plus program, I was informed my eyes (9 diopters off in both eyes at the time) were outside the range of the surgery doing me any good. Well, he can't say I didn't give his group a chance, but NEVER again. read more

I switched to Grene vision at the request of an employee who is also a friend. The staff and dr. Krueger were more than professional and courteous. My issue is with the quality of the lenses and the lad that creates them. I have had nothing but trouble with this pair of glasses since I switched to Grene. The glasses have been in their hands more than they have been in mine. I have been more than patient. I have been dealing with this for over six months now with no end in sight. The problem lies in the fitment of the lenses and subpar quality and application of the AR coating. I have had to send the lenses back 4 or five times now for what they call "crazing". It appears that there are small scratches all over the lenses, in reality the AR coating is cracking and separating and causing these cracks. Also lense fitment or finish has been an issue. As I said, the staff has been super, however we see an eye doctor for the end product which is the glasses. The lab really has some areas that need improvement. This has been a major inconvenience. As I type this, my glasses are in possession of Grene vision and have been for a week and a half now. They did offer to refund half the price of the lenses, however, I want glasses that function. Nothing more, nothing less. Previous to Grene I was at Wichita Family Vision and never had an issue with my glasses until I left them on my car and drove off. Once this is hashed out I will be returning to them. read more
