The Pick-Up Artist Junk Removal

Y'all can skip church on Sunday. If you need a miracle on time and on a budget, you found the right…read morepeople. God works in mysterious ways; The Pick-Up Artist works hard, fast, and on time! We were moving out of a home and had accumulated waaaaaaay too much stuff. Most of it wasn't making the move with us and I tried giving away everything that still had value, but we were still left with a mountain of crap. It looked like Harry Potter's Room of Hidden Things had emptied itself onto my driveway and lawn. I'm sure the neighbors were furious and I was ready to cry because I didn't know what to do. I decided to get some quotes from junk haulers but it was so much stuff I was sure it would cost thousands. Contacting The Pick-Up Artist was one of the smartest things I've ever done. Setting up the service was easy; it probably took less than 60 seconds. The Pick-Up Artist's crew showed up on time, worked hard, and were super polite. They also must have performed some witchcraft on my lawn because there's no way all my junk fit on their tiny little truck, but when they pulled away a short time later the house looked like nothing had ever happened. All my stuff (not to mention my worries) rolled away down the street with them. It was faster, cheaper, and easier than I could ever have imagined. If you also need an on-demand miracle, this is the right place.

Since I had to fly in to handle the cleanup, I was relying heavily on reviews and quotes. Dex gave me a clear quote, and on the scheduled day they showed up right at 7 AM, ready to work. They brought two trucks, which was a smart setup--one could head to the dump while the crew kept working without losing time. A team of four worked nonstop, and in just 7 hours the entire condo was cleared out. It was a record-setting hot day, but they never slowed down or complained. And to be clear, this was a massive amount of stuff. A+ company. If I ever need junk removal again, they'll be my first call. Thank you!!

They were the very first response when I pushed the Yelp project out! Brownie points!

Now, I understand they're ultimately a junk removal company, but they also provide moving services upon request. With this service in mind, you'd think they'd be better equipped with protective solutions. They started off fast and efficient which we appreciated. But when it came to the larger furniture like the couch, mattress, and bedframe.. they dragged my furniture on the ground outside. I watched carefully and had to request not to drag.. they did not wrap the furniture or use any blankets to keep from damage. All of my furniture is new within the last 1.5 years as when I moved to the apartment they were moving me away from, I ordered completely new furniture that were delivered up to my unit in boxes and assembled myself. I lived alone, didn't have pets, no kids, rarely had guests over. My furniture was clean and pristine. They also pushed a brand new office chair with wheels on asphalt. One of the movers commented on poor assembly of the bed frame.. hello, you are moving someone who lives here.. who else would have assembled it? They moved my stuff in a trailer with no cover, and again, no protective solutions like a tarp to cover at the very least. Once all the furniture was moved, we saw holes and skid marks all over my new couch, bed frame and mattress. We brought it up to them before they left and they said they tried their best in the elevator, when it was clear these were asphalt marks and I saw with my own eyes how they treated everything. We have since put in a claim with Chunks of Junks via email to which they SEEM cooperative simply because they are emailing us back. We've done everything they've asked like provide photos of the damage, share the value of each piece, etc. But it's been more than TWO MONTHS without resolve.
