So far, so good! I've been working remotely via internet and telephone with Ms. Whelan. After…read moreresearching online different avenues for private coaching in the graduate college admissions process, I inquired if Ms. Whelan would help me with my graduate school application and graduate school scholarship essay. Even though Essay Advantage specializes in undergraduate admissions, she agreed to help me out. She is reasonably priced, polite, and knowledgeable. I chose Essay Advantage because of Ms. Whelan's previous experience working both in an admissions office and on an admissions committee. I'm still in the throes of reworking my essays but they have each done a 180 degree turn! I can't imagine where I would be without Ms. Whelan's input. She did more for my essays than the free service offered by a department at my Alma Mater. My application to a Masters of Public Administration program and it's corresponding departmental merit-based scholarship at a major public university are due very soon, so I'll keep you posted on my results. UPDATE: 4/4/2016: I've been accepted into an MPA program currently ranked #11 in the USA and w/ my emphasis ranked as #7 in the USA. Alright! Woo-hoo! I couldn't have done it w/o Essay Advantage! UPDATE: 6/30/2016: Today, I was awarded a Graduate Scholar Award from my university totaling $4,000. I'll get $1K/semester which covers all the miscellaneous fees. Competition was stiff, so I'm pleased with the award.

The oldest fine arts fund in the United States, the Fine Arts Fund has been serving the cultural needs of this region for over 80 years. The primary responsibilities of this organization are to fund and support local artistic and cultural endeavors, through services such as marketing, fundraising, board development, and other administrative functions. The goals of the Fund are to raise money in the workplace for arts, foster excellence through support of regular programming, and minimize the disparity between ticket/admission price and actual costs of producing programs. Their campaign in 2007 raised over $11.7 million making it the #1 united arts fund in the country. What is so impressive about this number is that over half of the contributions came from individuals in the workplace. Keep up the great work of keeping the arts alive in Cincinnati.

The Haile Digital Planetarium is located on the fourth floor of the Dorothy Westerman Herrmann Natural Science Center. That is quite a mouth full. Most people seem to just refer to the building as the science center. If using Google maps, having the whole name is helpful. As of this review, shows after September 30th 2018 are tentative. The department is currently raising funds for a new projector. That being said, I was in no way dissaponted with the show we saw. The domed ceiling makes for a unique experience. The first half of the show is dedicated to the night sky. Having the show begin with the sky above Northern Kentucky made it feel more personal/relatable. After our digital exploration, the movie was played. While to movie was geared towards 5th grade and up, it was still interesting for adults. The whole experience is exyreamly informative, in a fun way. Shows are selected with particular age groups in mind. Check the University's website for dates, times and age groups. Shows are available for children as young as four years old. Shows are FREE, and open to the public. (Donations are welcome.) Reservations may be made through the University's website. Walk-ins are also welcome. This is one of those hidden gems of the area.
