To be fair, I will discuss both the positives and negatives. Positives: This business offers an option to board your dogs in the Nashville area that has, at least, a little bit of exposure to the outdoors. There are not many options close to the city. The most positive aspect of the kennel is the quality and friendliness of the staff. Negatives: I think this business is overshadowed by thinly veiled deception. The pictures on the site show dogs swimming in pools or playing in outdoor spaces. One needs to dig to discover that this kennel only guarantees to put your dog in a kennel with two undefined "walks" a day. To have your pet play with other dogs or swim in the pool, you must pay for each experience per day. Be sure to take a walk in the facility before committing your dog to stay there. A walk in the compound will reveal countless unhappy dogs barking at you for attention. This reminds me of visits to maximum security prisons. I dropped my dogs off and they were quickly overheated. This was on a Thursday. On Friday, I wanted an update of their health and a picture of them in the pool or play area. There was no response. If you check the kennel hours and times for staff response, they are highly restricted. The prices for putting your dog in a hot kennel with minimal interaction is $69 per day, per my experience as the base line price. I find this overpriced. Then they charge additional fees for things like playing with other dogs. I found this practice to be deceptive and insulting. I will never return to this facility. I can only thank the kind staff who work in a deceptive, potentially harmful, business model. Pet Resorts of America Nashville should be ashamed to be a business. You have the opportunity to do much better.

I was charged an extra $50 holiday fee, which they made sure to tell me was non refundable, but I have no issue paying this since my dogs always receive such great care when we visit and I am happy to support a small, locally owned business! Wendi, the sweet receptionist, took one look at our dog and spoke with Christy, the nurse, and Dr. Rothdeutsch and they were able to get him in right away. I can't thank Wendi, Christy, and Dr. Rothdeutsch enough for taking care of our sweet baby, who was in so much pain, despite being super busy. Hendersonville Animal Hospital is amazing for regular check ups, vaccinations, and exams, and they were even more amazing for our little emergency.

The owner is knowledgeable not only about the inventory, but about birds in general. DG's birds eat a lot better than the ones stopping in my yard who dine on seed from Wally World. I have compared the two and The Thrush's is of better quality - fatter seeds and less trash. I also noticed what appeared to be better quality suet cakes as well. Each year I buy a couple of those Nyger thistle seed socks at Wally's to hang up at the family summer place. They attract many goldfinches and we enjoy watching them. Two different stores were sold out, so I stopped by The Thrush to see what they had. They had what I needed, albeit more expensive and I have to load the socks myself. The seed is likely fresher so we'll soon know if better seed attracts more birds. You get what you pay for the adage has it, and it appears that you do here. I would return if I needed a new bird feeder, but my Nashville birds will have to continue to dine on their "fast food" diet from Wally World and fly a few blocks to DG's for their Jimmy Kelly's "steak dinner"!

After being unable to see our "normal" vet due to manyyyyy of the post-Covid issues in availability, I am so happy that I reached out to City Pets today. The space is beautiful, I immediately felt taken care of, and more importantly...they took the time to get to know my fur-child before jumping into prices and treatments. A normally anxious, timid old girl walked away happily with the nurse to get imaging and treatment. It blew my mind. I absolutely cannot wait to bring the rest of my pack for annual visits. PS, they were also able to fit me in an hour after I sent my initial request AND were so punctual...a nurse walked into the room at the appointment time on the dot.
