I am with a church and Friday we tried to purchase a ticket for someone needing to get home my credit cards would not go through, kept getting a "PR04" error. I called customer service and they said it was a problem with my credit card company. I called the credit card company and they didn't even see the transaction. From our location it would have been an 30 hour trip. Found out there is a depot an hour south of a major hub and hour from home so we took him there. Turns out it is just a bus stop bench partially enclosed. No office. Called back and finally escalated the call because we were still having problems purchasing a ticket. Was finally told we could pay cash for a ticket at a retail establishment near by. Bus was supposed to arrive at 9:10 it didn't, finally arrived at 11:45. read more

No refunds! after breaking down in the middle of no where in the half point mark of our destination with a family of 5. i tried renting a car the closet place was a hour and a half to 2 hours away . I tried to dispute with the bank and greyhound flix said i didn't board the first stop( which was at a McDonalds across from the hotel ) but i did board over a hour and a half away at the Albuquerque bus station. Greyhound/Flix Bus Lines Sucks and has a F rating with the BBB, Boomers, Consumers and Retirees Beware. Remember the scenes in multiple movies of Greyhound taking people to life changing events? Well those days are gone with the acquisition of Greyhound By Flix. I had been riding Greyhound since the 90's and enjoyed it.....BUT I will NEVER ride Greyhound again. Quick summary, I purchased a roundtrip ticket both segments were Horrible the first ticket they took me to the wrong destination, the second I had to sleep on the floor of the Albuquerque NM station after our bus never showed up. Which made me 12 hrs late getting to my destination. The Albuquerque NM station is completely Dysfunctional, customer service on the phone is useless, communication is the worst and the buses are disgusting and dirty, clearly they don't clean them anymore. There are no baggage handlers and most of the in station ticket counters are closed. Meaning you have to deal with the 800 number .  Although Greyhound says they will issue a refund if requested, they will send you vouchers instead, I have been trying to get my money back since February. Heed my advice and take any other form of transportation besides Greyhound Bus Lines, the good ole days on "The Hound" are gone FOREVER. read more

In my opinion, it would be helpful if you all updated your hours on the website. You know so that paying customers like myself don't waste time and gas coming down to the bus station to pick up a ticket they already paid for online only to see a closed sign. The bus depot is very convenient to access from the street. There is plenty of room if you need to pick someone up or drop them off. Inside there room to seat and wait for the bus. There are close places to grab a bit if you are wanting one. read more

I've been trying to reach ANYONE for the past two days to help me so I can pick up my package my family sent out from Texas. I received a voicemail to pick up the package and was told I would start getting charged in two days if I didn't pick it up. I went ahead and called beforehand to see if the hours online were accurate and no one answered. I called three numbers and finally a customer service rep from who knows where answered and told me 6. I told him I was using the package express and wanted to verify that it was open at the same time and he told me yes, it's all the same. I arrived at 5:30 and all the doors were locked. The package express lights were off and the doors to the bus terminal was locked. I could see people inside and knocked but they wouldn't open it. Plenty of people were outside with their suitcase in hand trying to get in and they would not allow these people in either. So today I only have a small time slot to make it over there during lunch and I wanted to call and verify the hours and same thing. I've left 4-5 messages with the package express number and the main number to the Albuquerque station and haven't received a call back yet. The only number I get a response from is the customer service number who is again, not very helpful and didn't seem to know if the hours varied. I have a feeling I'm going to get down there today just to turn back around because it's closed and then I'm going to start getting charged for a package I CANT EVEN PICKUP. This place is a complete and utter nightmare. Holy hell you will need a stiff drink and a mother's little helper just to survive how crazy when you go here. You'll loathe your extended then extended again stay. Going from Phoenix to Albuquerque, the trip went smooth but it was all about to change quick. We already knew we would have a two hour layover to Colorado Springs. This bus was to leave at 1:15 am in Albuquerque and arrive at 9:15 am in Colorado Springs. There were no announcements to be made and there were two women behind the counter. Finally I get up after the bus is now 40 min late to be told oh it'll be another hour the bus broke down now we have to bring out a new one and inspect it and then finally Board. Whatever I stroll outside with the guy I was riding with to smoke. Side note if you do go out front, be warned that there are no loudspeakers outside and if anything is announced on intercom you won't hear it. It's just piling more stupid on stupid from here. Finally the replacement bus arrives and we board. But fate wasn't done. The bus breaks down 30 miles outside of town and we have to go back the way we came for yet another bus oh joy. We didn't not board again til almost 5 am and arrive into Colorado Springs until 1 pm. This made me miss my car rental as they close at 1 and I was originally supposed to arrive at 9 am. By the way there was no apology at any time from anyone behind the counter or the driver. Sad just sad But as billy mays would say "but wait there's more!" So now we come to coming back to phoenix. I left Colorado Springs at 9:15 am expecting to be arriving in phoenix at 1 am. The ride to Albuquerque was smooth and ironically it was the same driver I had going up there. He was a little less of a grump this time and the ride went smooth. But here I was back in Albuquerque and tides were turning. So I arrived at 4 pm leaving at 5 right? Yeah right! It took them over 30 min beyond the departure time just to announce the bus was going to be late. Then to make matters worse for over an hour and a half the front desk was closed with no one attending until a manager finally showed up again. Meanwhile we the passengers are all left in the dark. NICE! This caused them to fail to announce again there was another delay and now the bus taking us there won't arrive til 8 pm then inspection time too so about nine. Nope we still didn't leave until close to 11 Pm. This place sucks I'd rather be fondled by a TSA pervert then this nonsense read more

If I could give this Albuquerque Greyhound station a negative yelp score; I would. Not only was the driver who I had to re-board with aggressive and rude, he blatantly kept being transphobic and homophobic towards me, even after I called him out (his name was Quentero). His supervisor, a white male (named Martin Vigil) was no help, did not apologize for the driver's rude behavior or for the fact that driver was so rude that I had to curse at him. I felt a lot of discrimination (for which I am and will be filing formal complaints), the security was rude, blatantly transphobic and I also feel racist (as there weren't any black employees and hardly any black travellers). As a first time greyhound traveler, I really wasn't expecting much. Somehow this bus station/the overall experience was still disappointing. We had a 5 hour layover between when our train came in and when our bus left, which ended up turning into a 6 hour wait since the bus was late (which they didn't feel the need to announce.) The driver was aggressive and rude, the whole place smelled like a mixture of vomit and piss, and the crowd was absolutely terrifying. If I could avoid traveling back to this station, I would, but unfortunately that's not how busses work. read more

New Mexico's main Greyhound Station is really stressful and gives me anxiety Everytime going through the terminal. During the night, stay on the station property and don't travel out, unless you really have the guts to do so. There is a above amount of crime and drug users looking for people to get at or ask for trades and take your money or whatever. The station is well kept and clean, and it's easy to move through the traffic, the Ticket Agents are moody, and don't like to be asked tons of questions, and would rather just print tickets, or help for purchases. read more

Although the bus drivers are excellent the fact the company does not take into account human frailties as a result, they routinely are not prepared for driver's calling in sick so what follows invariably is debacle of delays and extra fees. And their customer service department is horrible espousing policies that make no sense. I booked a ticket for a friend to come to join me in Albuquerque and the auto-fill put my last name as his and since his ticket is a Will Call ticket it needed to be changed but instead they refuse, the sarcastic man on the the online hel site, blamed me. Then I was told because it was a nonrefundable ticket I couldn't just return it and immediately rebook in the right name they also refused and when I complained and asked to speak to the manager he hung up on me. And that was the last in a series of horrible experiences on greyhound u have had over the years. Super unhelpful staff at the front counter at the Albuquerque bus station. I was dropped there by my hotel shuttle because I was taking the Rail Runner train to Santa Fe. I get that greyhound doesn't run that service but wouldn't basic human kindness (to say nothing of even the most rudimentary customer service training) have you say "Oh those are outside next door." instead she watched me sit in the bus terminal for 30 minutes knowing full well that wasnt where the train stopped. Understandably, there were several rude and trashy customers in their establishment washing their babies in the sinks of the restrooms. I tried to save money by taking a bus from albuquerque. No matter where you're going, your bus will be late and no one will tell you how long it's delayed. From my experience, you can expect to sit there a full hour past your departure time before boarding. Don't bother complaining though, none of the employees care. read more

Very disappointed!!! My son left Denver at 8am this morning and has been stuck at a gas station outside Walsenburg,Co since 11:15am waiting for a new bus to come!!! When I call for a status update I'm put on hold and no one can tell me anything! The Albuquerque station (his final destination) told me they were 11 minutes off schedule! They don't even know the bus broke down!!!! Join the 21st century Greyhound!!! There is no reason whatsoever that all stations involved would not be alerted!!! This is completely unacceptable!!! Greyhound's terminal service is still notoriously bad but today I got a great driver from Abq to Phoenix (schedule 1333?). We left Albuquerque late and were possibly going to miss many connections but he was so patient, cut restroom breaks shorter, and got us to Flagstaff then Phoenix just in time to make our connections! He quickly helped us get our belongings then first bumped passengers as they made their connections. Great guy! He turned a very stressful day into a much happier one! read more

The terminal in Albuquerque New Mexico is where I visited today. Few issues first of all the janitor or who ever that was moping the floor was just plain rude and obviously did not like his job then, he was arguing with a supervisor from across the building ( actually kind of funny since he was arguing about customer complaints). In addition the bathrooms were not very clean and not one stall had toilet paper. Finally as I walked over to the restaurant the cook or who ever behind the counter when I stood there for a little while just looked at me and walked away when I said hi. I would give Greyhound 0 stars if I could. Unbelievable this company is still in business. Everyone was incredibly rude, unhelpful, and incompetent. On my way to Austin from Albuquerque, the bus driver in Amarillo left 45 minutes earlier than the departure time on the ticket; which stranded my friend and I (along with several others) at the station. The management team informed us they were "repeatedly calling the bus driver, but unable to get a response". Their proposed solution was to send us to Oklahoma City and then have us connect with a bus heading to Dallas, which demonstrated an utter lack of competence and would have ruined our trip plans. On top of all this, because I bought a "non-refundable" ticket they would not refund my money nor buy a hotel room in Amarillo for us to stay in; despite the fact, due to factors out of my control, I paid for a service I never received. Completely unprofessional company not working for their customers. They will never receive my business again, nor Amtrak. Luckily we were able to get a one-way rental and drive the rest of the way without any hiccups. I thought riding a bus/train might be a cool one-time experience, and I was very mistaken, just buy the plane ticket. Disappointing. read more

Marie Gomez is the manager on this date. I had stopped in ABQ on my way to El Paso from Denver. I brought my father and told him I've had good experiences with greyhound. We get to this station and I head to the restroom. I see one is out of order, one has a man sleeping inside and the last one is completely covered in filth and excrement! I go to the front desk and beg for the key to the family restroom and they obliged after I explained. After a few minutes we go to the cafe inside. We make an order and wait at a table nearby. I see a disheveled woman shuffling about the station acting as though she was on drugs. She was asking everyone for money and the security guard did nothing. We were approached and we said no to her. I did not feel safe or comfortable while I was there. I felt embarrassed that I brought my father for this. I later emailed greyhound and gave them my review shortly after my trip. I was contacted by Marie Gomez and she apologized for the poor experience and said she would send me a voucher for a free trip. Well it's been well over 6 months now and I did remind her of her promise but she has yet to fulfill this promise. I don't like being in that station but I REALLY don't like being fed nonsense of vouchers if they cannot deliver! I will pay the extra money for a plane ticket next time and have a much better experience even with TSA at its worst! Good riddance greyhound! What have you got to say for yourself??!! read more

On Jan 12, 2020, I traveled with my 4 year old grandson from Las Cruces NM to Colorado Springs. We left at 8 am and transfered to a Amatract train from Albuquerque. From there we arrived at Raton NM around 5:30 with a bus waiting for us that had been there, ALMOST FULL TO CAPACITY, since 10 am to continue with our destination. Not only were there no chairs available for us to sit in but some did not even get on. There was a very two nice gentleman who gave up their seats for us but since it was so full I put my grandson on my lap for 3 hours so another could sit. We were SEVERELY WEIGHT SENSITIVE and the driver, (William) even mentioned it All of us on that bus was put into a very bad dangerous situation that could have gotten very worse. I Have to give a beautiful shout out to the fellow riders and they were all very empathetic about my situation and another nice lady tried to give us her seat in the front also. I asked the driver why we were so severely OVERBOOKED and all he said was, "they are all paying customers". I never felt like cattle so much in my life as I did yesterday. If there are others who rode the same bus and would like to get a class action law suit going , I would be right there with you. I called "corporate" to at least get a refund on my grandsons fare seeing how he did not have a seat and they hung up on my and blocked me from calling back. read more

My experience was absolutely awful with this company. I DO NOT recommend this method of transportation in the slightest. This was my first bus experience and I absolutely despised it with a passion. Not only were all of the buses late to pick me up, but they couldn't find the drivers to the buses the majority of the time or they lost the bus and didn't know where it went/what happened. On one of my buses there was a fight that broke out in the back and the driver did absolutely nothing. If the drivers aren't awful enough then the staff at the physical stations are worse, in the sense that they aren't helpful, always have an attitude, or won't tell you anything about the bus schedule. On my trip, we had to not only have our tickets reissued several times because the buses were so late, but they somehow lost our return home tickets (payed for round-trip) in their system and couldn't reissue us new tickets, but instead printed out a receipt (after crying/pleading) that showed we payed for a round-trip. One of the bus drivers wouldn't let us on the bus because he didn't consider it a ticket even though the bus we took right before that had no problem accepting it. We had to stay in several bus stations overnight because they couldn't figure out how to get us on the bus that was leaving the soonest. Our 32 hour trip to Louisiana from New Mexico turned into a 45 hour trip due to their incompetence and failure to do their job. The return trip went from 32 hours to 47 hours. Not only did they lose our tickets, treated us like children (I am 18 and my friend is 19), gave us nothing but attitude when we tried to fix our tickets (their fault), and some of the drivers drove below the speed limit regardless of traffic conditions-one even swerved while driving (early in the morning) for no reason (nothing in street/no one in front of him/next to him). I greatly regret taking this bus company for anything other than city to city travel within the same state. read more

Travelled from Colorado to Phoenix then back again. On the way to Phoenix, I was in Albuquerque, they supposedly "checked" my bag so I wouldn't have to lug my 30 pound bag around during my 5 hour layover while I went out for a smoke or went to the bathroom. I didn't receive my bag until 2 days after I arrived in Phoenix, conveniently a few hours before I was to leave again. I'm sure glad I didn't need anything like clothes or soap in the bag during my stay...NOT! Even before I arrived in Phoenix, the bus broke down in Gallup, NM. Which left a fully loaded bus in the 85+ degree weather for SIX HOURS. No compensation, no offer to pay for lunch, not even an apology. And the stop that we were stranded at was a cross between a gas station and a thrift store. The toilets were clogged in the men's bathroom and the women's bathroom had pee all over the floor. Not too mention that pretty much everything was doubled in price. $2.50 for a 20oz soda is highway robbery. Now on my return trip. Arrived back in Albuquerque for another 5 hour layover. This time I wasn't taking chances and kept my bag. But being 30 pounds, I can't haul it out for a cigarette, I lucked out during a slow time when I got to take my bag into the handicapped stall in the bathroom, but that was an hour after arrival. So 5 minutes after my bus was to arrive we get an announcement that the bus has broken down and they don't know when it will be here or if it will at all. The worse case scenario is to wait for the next bus 10 hours later. They have us a meal voucher for a whopping $7.50. They also gave some of the other passengers a $50 voucher toward a future trip. I opted out of getting this as I will never give greyhound my business again and had no use of that piece of paper. I will let all my friends and family know to take a plane or drive themselves. Greyhound will always disappoint in one way or another and do diddly squat about it. read more
