We decided to go up to Santa Fe for the day so we had to catch the very cheap Rail Runner from ABQ station downtown. When we arrived by ride share it didn't feel safe. The train station sits behind the greyhound station and the metro bus station is to the left. For you to find the train platform you need to go behind the greyhound station and you will see a sign for Amtrac and for Rail runner but no information telling you what track of the 5 is Southbound and what part is Northbound. This station/platform has no directions on what track is what so here you go as we learned the hard way and got on the southbound train not the northbound. The Northbound train to Santa Fe comes on track 2 platform and the Southbound train comes on Track 1 closest to the station. Pay close attention to if your train goes all the way to Santa Fe or back to ABQ downtown as some don't go past ABQ downtown. The area the station is in has a lot of homeless people and drunks it didn't feel safe at all. There was 1 police car a few streets down and when we returned, they were at the station. It is so cheap to get a day pass its $5 unlimited, so I recommend that. You can buy it online and have it for when you board or buy on the train. The Downtown Albuquerque Railrunner Station seems to be the main hub of the Railrunner. So many Burquenos and out of state travelers getting from here to there. I've taken the railrunner for many years and have always had a pleasant ride From the Sandoval Railrunner Station to the Santa Fe Depot. The Downtown Albuquerque Railrunner Station is a wonderful stop with access to all the eclectic eateries in Downtown Albuquerque as well as local businesses. There are also connections to the bus lines for those needed to travel around ABQ Metro. If you are flying into ABQ and headed to Santa Fe you can take a shuttle from the ABQ Sunport to the Downtown Albuquerque Railrunner station. This is definitely a travelers benefit if you want to save on the expense of renting a car. Overall, from a day trip to Santa Fe to work Monday through Friday I believe you'll experience a joyful ride! All Aboard!!! *Beep-Beep* Chugga Chugga Choo Choo!!!

Station was easy to find from the parking garage although some of the signs could be a little bit better for tourists. It was a weekend so the main station was closed. Ended up in the bus bay but easily found where the train station was. Informative area to buy tickets and get information. Something to use to get to Santa Fe for a day trip!

If you are in Albuquerque and you've exhausted exploring options in town, then take a trip northward to Santa Fe. You don't even need a car to do so! Just drop on by the Albuquerque Station, and hop on the Rail Runner Express (http://www.yelp.com/biz/new-mexico-rail-runner-express-albuquerque). This station is close to downtown, and the platform for the Rail Runner is easy to get to, and if you need a ticket, there are agents there on the platform who can ring up your credit card & give you a ticket right there on the spot. Super cool.

Friends and I decided to take a Saturday day trip from Abq to Santa Fe and back on the Railrunner Express. Now, express is something of a misnomer since you get to stop at every station along the way That being said, the train was on time, comfortable, and apart from a loud crackling intercom system, was very enjoyable.

It's really roomy and they offer some really nice options. One great thing is you are able to purchase Green Chile once you come through TSA. That is so awesome because I love the green chile. Literally every time I come through here I purchase some. The Southwest side of the airport is coming along. They are really making things easily accessible Overall the experience is great. And I am looking forward to everything once the improvements are done.

My home airport in Greensboro is the little airport that could, where it's possible to arrive 30 minutes before your flight, get through security, and to your gate before they shut you out pretty much any day... but I gotta be honest, ABQ's "Sunport" probably has it beat. All the prior things being true, at least as far as I can tell, you can get to the airport without much worry of a long security line or wait at any juncture. I was easily through in under 10 minutes. After passing through security, you'll find yourself in a food court with about five options to get something in your before your trip. Also in this area is a plethora of comfy seating to lounge or even nap in, clean restrooms, table space with plenty of charging points, and nice wide walkways headed wherever you are. Probably the most impressive thing, is just how comfortable all the seating is. Even the chairs outside the gate are wide and comfortable. This airport wins on comfort above any other one that I have ever visited.

I was going to ask around among the other companies and the driver told me that the airport rates are the same for all other companies at the airport. After a long day of travel delays I was exhausted and desperately wanted to get home so I paid $15 for a ride that was under a mile. When I called the company the next day to ask their rates I was told $10. Clearly they lie and do what they can to financially exploit travel weary people. I am usually fairly savvy and am rather embarrassed that I fell prey to this greedy company. Save your money and please do not give Green Cab any of it. Go with a company that has transparent rates that don't change when the driver feels that they can get away with wringing more from you in moments of need. If you are using cash make sure they are using some sort of meter that you can see and that they operate while you are getting a ride. Insist on a receipt so that you have documentation of what you paid. I am assuming that my money went directly into that drivers pocket, tax free. I'd give Green Cab negative stars if I could, but this will have to suffice.
