    It was my first time at express packaging and the gentleman that was servicing us did an exemplary job of weighing boxes to be shipped out. He asked if we paid online and printed labels. I didn't know we could do the next shipment we were able to do online and drop at the center for processing. He refused a tip which I respect. I just know during COVID it's nice to be recognized for your service. That was on 7/22/20 around 12:00 pm. Thanks again!!!!

    Short story: The WORST travel experience I have EVER HAD. I am a poor college student that will NEVER AGAIN choose Greyhound even if the other option is an expensive airline ticket. My experience was with a bunch of stunningly rude employees who were unable to fulfil their contract of getting me to my destination despite the fact that I had a ticket which according to their contract guaranteed me a seat on the scheduled bus. Long Story: I had an express ticket from San Fernando to Oakland that I had purchased a week before. I arrived 10 minutes before the bus was due to leave since I was running a little late. They told me very rudely the bus was full and that I should have arrived a half hour early (this was not stated anywhere on my ticket information). Then the bus left six minutes early without me and three other people who also had express tickets. There was a sign on the wall stating that express ticket holders have a GUARANTEED seat on the bus they were scheduled to be on. I pointed this out to the bald man working at the counter and he rudely told me that it was a busy holiday weekend which was why the bus was overbooked. I told him that was why I purchased a ticket in advance and he walked away from me. He was being extremely unhelpful but after I badgered him awhile he said he would call the LA station (where the bus was coming from) because "there might be another bus coming" but they didn't know if it was going to stop. What kind of transportation company doesn't even know their own timetable? After waiting a half hour I asked him again and he said, "oh it turns out that bus didn't stop." Then I asked him what he planned to do to get me up to Oakland, since I had to be at work in the morning and I had a guaranteed ticket (though perhaps to the high school dropouts who run their company that word has a different meaning than to college-educated people such as myself). After waiting another hour, he told me that I could have a guaranteed seat (yeah, that means a lot to me now) on the 5pm bus, which would get me into a bad part of Oakland at 12:45am. There's a reason that I, a single female who is 5'2 in high heels, picked an afternoon bus instead of an evening one. Fortunately for me and my job, my sister and friend are angels sent from heaven and offered to drive me up so I had a prayer of getting to work on time and not being mugged in downtown Oakland. I intend to contact their corporate offices in the morning to attempt to get a refund, but I honestly expect no contrition from this racket of a company. As I was getting my ticket situation "worked out," (read: being ignored for half an hour at a time as their one employee hid in the back room pretending to be busy -- yes, I could see you back there aimlessly moving the same boxes back and forth) there was another lady there who was moving and had had several boxes of dishes and other personal items shipped to her, and the boxes had been essentially destroyed in transit. No wonder this tiny station in a relatively good part of town needs a 24 hour security guard -- I expect they deal with irate customers on a daily basis.

    The area looked ok. Just get there early and make sure to get on the bus first. If they run out of room your out of luck until the next bus.

    my mother whom Richard at San Fernando greyhound station denied 2 check bags 3 hours prior to departure.

    User beware. Don't do will call. You have to pick up tickets before you leave and if the station is closed, to bad. No self service kiosk.

This company, under the original owners, Don and Ann, was a no-nonsense, professional operation. No sluggish or lackadaisical employees were tolerated. Those who couldn't be professional and compassionate were quickly weeded out in the training process. Mauran was there for the community-at-large just after the Northridge Earthquake - performing rescues and transport from and through some of the most difficult terrain and territory ever seen in greater Los Angeles. I can honestly say it was the best job I ever had, and it was painful to me when I had to leave. The birth of my daughter meant I needed to be home more often, and I do not regret the decision to go into work in education, to be a better dad. I will always remember Don, Ann, and their kids fondly for helping me to create some of the best memories of my working life. I'm not sure what's going on with the company now, but seeing some of the reviews saddens me. The original owners would be mortified if they thought their shining star was tarnished in any way.
