Located in the North part of the Valley, is this small Greyhound stop. On Rinaldi street right under the shadow of the foothills of the mountains right off of Interstate 5 as it's about to head up north towards San Francisco, you'll find this little bus stop which is basically in a strip mall, and has just a couple of gates. But it's useful for the North Valley for sure, saving you a long trip down into Downtown LA or Hollywood to catch your bus and stuff, and it's a nice stop for a local California bus, but usually it gets sadly skipped by most of the Statewide and National buses, even though I've caught a Greyhound from here twice. And so for this reason I take off a star, since it's hard to actually catch a bus here with regularity since most national lines avoid it. read more

I recently purchased a ticket a couple days ago for the 25th of December to go to Vegas. I got to the destination early 8:34Pm for a 9:00Pm takeoff. No one was at the bus stop and I waited 30mins approximately no one. I call customer support to ask where people at noticed on the Door it said closed for the holidays yet no bus in site. I called customer service twice got in touch with Agent Angel she was no help and was rude and proceeded to mention to me that her supervisor will say the same thing regarding my refund. I asked for a supervisor who I got Jalina who was worst then her agent reading from a script and then announced no refund per policy. Do yourself a favor and try out the Tufesa bus, which leaves from nearby 10413 Laurel Canyon Bl at Van Nuys. It was my first time at express packaging and the gentleman that was servicing us did an exemplary job of weighing boxes to be shipped out. He asked if we paid online and printed labels. I didn't know we could do the next shipment we were able to do online and drop at the center for processing. He refused a tip which I respect. My daughter took a bus from this location. The driver allowed another passenger to take her luggage from under the bus without asking for a baggage claim number. The driver admitted that he simply took her word and didn't verify any identification. To start of WORST COSTUMER SERVICES! Long story short Antonio the guy working there is super rude. My mom had her ticket from SF to the airport and obviously cuz she's traveling she has her lauggages. As soon as he saw them he started to give her an attitude about it cuz there's a Weight limit to take on the bus. We didn't know about the Weight limit. So after a good minute he said he will charge a fee and if we wanted fine if not to find somewhere else. My mom was already upset about it a said it wasn't fair, that's literally it. Antonio got so mad about that that he denied her ticket he didn't want to sell her the extra fee for the Weight. He said/yelled " I'm not selling you the ticket go to L.A if you want or find a way I'm not going to help you". My mom practically begged him for it and he kept saying no with an attitude. You guys can't have people like this working here he's playing with people's money and that's not cool. I'm a Customer Service Manager and this behavior is not it, very unacceptable. Someone needs to talk to Antonio and give him training on how to handle people and situations and not just go off on them. Specially when it comes to older people that don't really know how this type of transportation works. My 1st bus had to depart at 6:15 am from San Fernando CA, I waited until 7:30 am and there was NO BUS!!!! My 2nd bus was supposed to depart at 8:15 from LA and there was no way I could make it on time. I called 3 times customer service to see if they could reissue the ticket or just give me a refund. The first rep told me they could change my ticket to a different time but I had to call a different phone number, which I did. I called a 2nd time and the rep said that I had to wait 24 hours because they had to see what had happened to the bus. Would put 0 stars if I could. The fat bald man at the ticket counter is a sh*tty employee. Excuse my french. I had bought my ticket A WEEK before my return bus. I arrived 10 minutes before my bus was supposed to arrive and pretty much had my bag checked and everything ready by the bus arrived (it was a bit late.) Again, it doesn't say that online/anywhere and the times aren't even the same.) I firmly believe that if you have your ticket, have your bag checked, have a boarding number, that it doesn't matter what time you arrive as long as you are not holding up the rest of the passenger. Which I did not do. Baldie proceeds to tell me that I must GO TO THE BACK OF THE LINE to board the bus because I arrived late? I wasn't late, I was on time. By this time, I realized this guy must have a very miserable life and just wants a power trip and bully customers to feel better about himself. When the bus arrives a few minutes late, I end up NOT GETTING A SEAT. By the time it's my turn to board, there were only 3 empty seats... That some lady was saving. Three EMPTY seats for people who were NOT EVEN AT THE STATION! She was on the phone yelling at someone that "they're going to take your seat!" I didn't feel like getting into an argument with her so I just said screw it, I'll ask my boyfriend to come get me because I DO NOT want to deal with Baldie nor that lady. My ticket which was bought a week in advance said I was BOARDER #1. Which means I'm supposed to BOARD FIRST onto my bus. First experience for my daughter traveling from Phoenix to Los Angeles. First, the bus delayed 1 hr, no big deal . As a commuter you except delays. However, when the bus passed the delayed time and customer service guest number keeps giving you the gps of the bus and it's at your station with no explanations as to what going on =bad service. Then customer service agent calls the greyhound in Phoenix to speak with employee directly, and that employee says," just got to work , don't know , I'm not the driver and lastly, what do you want me to do about it ? =. Limited Seating Area. Bathrooms are clean! It's a bus stop what else do you want? Red carpet? Free Snacks? The area is okay. Bathrooms are protected by key access, tells you a lot about the neighborhood. When you arrive you on your bus make sure you get someone to help you get your luggage off the bus. The driver doesn't do it and if you wait they might drive away with your stuff. Or if there isn't anyone then you can just open the trunk area and get it yourself. Place is kind of hidden. You don't see it immediately off the main street it's a small stand alone building tucked back behind the 76 gas station and next to the New Asia Buffet. read more

Short story: The WORST travel experience I have EVER HAD. I am a poor college student that will NEVER AGAIN choose Greyhound even if the other option is an expensive airline ticket. My experience was with a bunch of stunningly rude employees who were unable to fulfil their contract of getting me to my destination despite the fact that I had a ticket which according to their contract guaranteed me a seat on the scheduled bus. Long Story: I had an express ticket from San Fernando to Oakland that I had purchased a week before. I arrived 10 minutes before the bus was due to leave since I was running a little late. They told me very rudely the bus was full and that I should have arrived a half hour early (this was not stated anywhere on my ticket information). Then the bus left six minutes early without me and three other people who also had express tickets. There was a sign on the wall stating that express ticket holders have a GUARANTEED seat on the bus they were scheduled to be on. I pointed this out to the bald man working at the counter and he rudely told me that it was a busy holiday weekend which was why the bus was overbooked. I told him that was why I purchased a ticket in advance and he walked away from me. He was being extremely unhelpful but after I badgered him awhile he said he would call the LA station (where the bus was coming from) because "there might be another bus coming" but they didn't know if it was going to stop. What kind of transportation company doesn't even know their own timetable? After waiting a half hour I asked him again and he said, "oh it turns out that bus didn't stop." Then I asked him what he planned to do to get me up to Oakland, since I had to be at work in the morning and I had a guaranteed ticket (though perhaps to the high school dropouts who run their company that word has a different meaning than to college-educated people such as myself). After waiting another hour, he told me that I could have a guaranteed seat (yeah, that means a lot to me now) on the 5pm bus, which would get me into a bad part of Oakland at 12:45am. There's a reason that I, a single female who is 5'2 in high heels, picked an afternoon bus instead of an evening one. Fortunately for me and my job, my sister and friend are angels sent from heaven and offered to drive me up so I had a prayer of getting to work on time and not being mugged in downtown Oakland. I intend to contact their corporate offices in the morning to attempt to get a refund, but I honestly expect no contrition from this racket of a company. As I was getting my ticket situation "worked out," (read: being ignored for half an hour at a time as their one employee hid in the back room pretending to be busy -- yes, I could see you back there aimlessly moving the same boxes back and forth) there was another lady there who was moving and had had several boxes of dishes and other personal items shipped to her, and the boxes had been essentially destroyed in transit. No wonder this tiny station in a relatively good part of town needs a 24 hour security guard -- I expect they deal with irate customers on a daily basis. read more

Greyhound bus lines is terrible. They advise you to follow the tracker for your bus as is it accurate. You call customer service to verify and they advise you that the tracker is accurate and to follow it, but when the tracker says your bus is going to be 6 hours late so you go eat then come back and your bus has already left because it showed up on time. They WILL NOT refund your ticket but they will admit they are wrong and you are right... still will not refund. Don't use grey hound, they are horrible!!!! read more

The San Fernando to L.A. bus was delayed by 90 minutes and we panicked thinking we would miss our connection from L.A. to Indio. she made sure we had re printed tickets with the new information and called ahead to L.A. to let Jose know we needed to be on the the earliest bus to Indio. Originally scheduled to get into Indio at 5 p.m. but after the delay could be 10:30 p.m. Hopefully the L.A. bus will wait a bit for all of us so we can get in closer to 5!!!!!!! read more

Worst customer service ever at San Fernando bus station!! No willingness to work with customers at all!! I had three paid tickets for a bus to San Jose and was not allowed to board because my children did not have photo ID - seriously who carries ID for children??- nowhere during the booking process does it say that minor children have to show ID!! I had a photo ID just to be clear. We were forced to pay 60 dollars cash to circumvent this rule so we can make it to our destination and that too a day late - why Monica couldn't take the 20 dollars and apply it to our existing booking is beyond me..I guess its too much to expect logic and reason. So basically security concerns and rules disappear if you pay 20 dollars cash per ticket extra..awesome!! This is an excellent way to rip off online customers so kudos to you guys you came up with a great plan!! Amazing!! Our bus broke down. We weren't communicated to during the process, nor allowed to leave or supported in finding alternative arrangements. I missed my appointment in LA. I have been trying to get a refund since February! Was told to send in a written request for the refund and that I would take 4-6 weeks to be process. I got the seat on the back of the bus; it was hot as an iron. During the trip, the bus driver turned off the ac because according to her there was a fire smoke hazard inhalation. Moreover, the bus driver said that she did not want to hear any complaints regarding the ac being turned off and how hot it was inside the bus. Greyhound lost a customer permanently. It all started with a call that took 20 rings for the station attendant to pick up. I asked about parking and they basically said "No overnight parking". I asked if there was a place to put my car and there wasn't. So, I have to risk getting a ticket or pay more money for a taxi than a greyhoudn ticket costs? Seems really stupid. I paid 42 $ for a ticket online and was not able to print it out. I went in with a confirmation number and ID and the 1 cashier in the entire building with no other people in it basically said I was out of luck and I pay 42$ and not 60$ because I pay online. Ok, I'm willing to pay 20$ extra and he says "no. I can't release the ticket either way". So then I ask for a refund, seeing that in the greyhound terms of service, you can ask for a refund if you are unable to print the ticket and are at the station. He still says no. Even when it says I can get a refund in the terms of service. So now i'm out 42$, can't get on the bus, and I can't get a refund. My mother, who is 67 yrs old, purchased a bus ticket from San Fernando to Las Vegas on Sat 9/15/12 (Roundtrip) and requested to return on Sun 9/23/12. The young man @ the counter printed the wrong return date on her ticket of Sat 9/22/12. When I called the San Fernando Bus station, the young woman on the phone was extremely rude, unhelpful and very unprofessional. I explained to her what happened and she told me she couldn't help me unless I gave her the name of the person who helped my mother that day. She also said I would have to "fight" with the Las Vegas bus station to have them change the date. She said - "I can't help you" and disconnected the call. Before the call was fully disconnected I heard her say to another co-worker - "This B**** said...". Furious of what I heard. I quickly called back and this time a man picked up. I asked him what the name of the girl was and he laughed and hung up on me again!! I called back several times but this time they didn't pick up at all. I have also filed a complaint through the BBB and the Greyhound Corporate office. This is not the first time they have been rude, especially to elderly and disabled people. This is the worst experience by far. This is the first time I am supposed to travel Greyhound. So before purchasing my tickets, I called the representative to see how this worked. He never mentioned that tickets were non refundable and that there is another option. I had to cancel my trip and I am unable to get my money and on top of that I had to change the date and pay the fee. I ask to have a ticket that would be open to use at another time. When I called corporate they said this could be done, but this was not an option that was given. Corporate did nothing to help me. I will never travel Greyhound. Its a rip off. I paid my money and it should be reimbursed. I will be forced to travel with them or loose my tickets. When buying your tickets make sure it is the ones you can get a refund for.
