Small but sweet This…read moreis one of the smallest airports I've ever been in, but also a very nice airport. I thought the Fort Myers airport Florida was small until I found myself here in Laredo. I think only 3 or 4 airlines fly out of here, and there may only be 2 or 3 gates for planes. This airport is very clean and feels new and fresh inside. They were even doing some work to make it better and more beautiful. The TSA agents were the nicest I've ever met. Other airports they're not very nice and sometimes they are rude. There's nothing I could really complain about with this airport, so I'm giving 5 stars. If I had to find something to complain about it would only be they could use another food vendor. They have Chick-fil-A but that's it. Not bad but maybe something else would help too.

She asked for our date of birth, address, our cell numbers, and my email address. She said she was going to research and get the best possible deal. She told us she would email her results later that afternoon. We drove back to Eagle Pass and did not receive any information on Friday. 1. We never received an email 2. We never received a curtesy call 3. We never received a follow up call We wasted 4 hours and gas money going to Laredo for nothing. Update: I sent an email complaining to the agency and the travel agent called us with an excuse. Too late I decided to go online and book the trip myself. The travel agent L.T. made Lozano Travel agency look bad.

Unfortunately, that's where the praise ends. Don't get me wrong, the lounge does have nice recliners, but it completely lacks that "home" feeling. It's just uninviting, and not a place you actually want to hang out in. It's a shame because having the space for great parking is a huge win, but corporate still fails to invest in making the inside feel welcoming for the drivers. Still choosing to sit in my truck over using their facilities.

The Fountain and small ponds are nice, although currently they are working on the ponds, but you can see promise of something good there. They do have a tourist and information center open between 0800 and 5pm. Plenty of open spaces to wander and marvel at the beauty of the landscaping and architecture. Best Western Plus Nuevo Laredo is a very elegant high rise hotel. The building was formerly the…read moreCrowne Plaza, so there are many elegant and vintage touches, lots of marble, etc. Now with new owners, Best Western Plus is doing a great job managing the property. The location is very good, with an HEB grocery store and Soriana shopping center a couple of blocks away. Across the street there is a Starbucks. I found the staff to be friendly, helpful, and efficient. My room was very comfortable, spacious, elegant, clean, and with a fantastic view. The bathroom was well equipped, and everything worked well. I did not check out the breakfast because every night I ate too many tacos too late. But the restaurant does offer a breakfast, and I heard from others that it is very good. I did not check out the other amenities (such as the pool or gymnasium) either, but everything I saw was very nice. There is underground parking, and I felt very safe. Highly recommended!
