Do not trust what Alex Watkins tells you when he sells you a vehicle. Everything in this review is…read morefactual information. I bought a Chevy Traverse on May 30th. Despite negative reviews online, I went ahead with the purchase. Alex is basically my neighbor and told me multiple times during our conversations that he would cover anything that messed up on the vehicle within 30 days. I knew that oral promises weren't always kept if they aren't in writing, but I trusted that Alex would keep his word. The air in the vehicle went out 1 week after purchase. After taking it to several mechanics and $1200 my part, the freon leak was found in the evaporator core - an additional $2000 job to fix. Upon taking the car to the first mechanic, Alex said he would ask his boss if he would help cover some of the costs. To which, he did not. He didn't need to ask his boss when he made the promise when I bought the vehicle. He did not stand behind what he said. He did have me take the vehicle to his mechanic in Hopkinsville - a major inconvenience for myself. This mechanic only changed seals that had already been changed by the local mechanic I had paid. The vehicle had this AC issue when I purchased it. I have reason to believe that the car salesman knew there was a leak and had filled the car with freon prior to my purchase, as he told me they were able to do this at his lot. This issue has been especially dangerous for my two small children, as the AC has gone out during extremely high temperatures this summer. My advice to my friends - don't purchase from this car lot because they don't keep their word and they try to cover up issues on vehicles they sell.

Dear Hopkinsvillians - next time you need a car, go see David at Grace Auto Sales…read more Let's set our wayback machines to 3rd week of July. Our 1999 Chevy Venture van finally gave up the ghost and we decided to buy a car from this army family in Oak Grove. We spent $1300.00 on what proved to be a total wreck! (Caveat Emptor, right?) So here we are stuck with two vehicles that only marginally work, and desperately in need of a car to get my dear wife to and from work. We happened to drive by Grace Auto Sales and saw this lovely 2010 Honda Odyssey - burgundy colored, and asked Dave about it. Although a bit high for our budget he offered to take our two cars in trade and a small down payment. He did all the paperwork and the car was ours. Yesterday, I noticed the battery light was flickering on and off while driving home. This morning, taking my wife to work, the battery light came on steady. After dropping her off I took the car to AutoZone to have the charging system checked. The salesman found no output from the alternator. We had the car for a little over a month and already, we had problems. So I called up Dave and basically said, "What now?" He came and got me, charged up the battery and got me over to the dealership. Then he and I researched alternators. After finding one, he said - OK, $260.00 for the alternator with installation. You pay half, and I'll pay half. (The car had been sold to me "as is" - which is most the case with used cars. Anyway, after getting the alternator in, he drove it over to the repair place they used and in about 3 hours we got the car back. Not getting paid until Wednesday, Dave accepted a post dated check from me for the work. David did all he could, in spite of him not, in reality, having to, and got us going again. He's a good man, and a fair man, and wants to keep your business. I highly recommend Grace Auto Sales when you need a car. Thanks again, Dave, for all your help.
