I started seeing Elizabeth and Steven, who set me up on a twice-a-week plan for a few weeks, then once a week after that, and it actually worked. My pain dropped dramatically, and I began looking forward to each session. If you've never been to a community-style acupuncture clinic, it might feel a little different at first: a big, peaceful room filled with recliners (each with its own colorful sheet) and everyone in full relaxation mode. You get comfy, they pop in the needles, and suddenly you're in the most blissful nap of your life. But for the first time she used healing sounds to go UNDER my scapula as well. By the end of the "1 hour" treatment my pain level dropped from an 8 to closer to a 2. She was incredibly welcoming and I came into her office unable to move my left arm without significant discomfort. After about 45 minutes of treatment I left with so much less pain!
