Everything seems to be on weekdays at 10:30 AM or 1:30 PM, with no Saturday or evening (even 4:30 or 5 PM would be nice!) options for people who have work (or school) on weekdays. As someone who has taught craft classes myself, I find this a bit frustrating. It's so important that incredibly special handicrafts like quilting be preserved and passed down to the next generation of makers, yet this schedule seems designed to accommodate only retirees. That aside, Second Spring is a charming quilt shop that manages to pack a ton of fabrics, notions, tools, and patterns into a very bright and cheerful little space. The front window display is always a joy to look at, with colorful seasonal quilts and other projects. I continue to hold out hope that I will be able to make it to a class eventually.

Turns out they're tucked away on a top shelf, easy to miss unless you really look around. We spent about 30 minutes total in the shop, arriving roughly an hour before closing. Street parking was easy to find but can be limited. Overall, a charming spot with good stock, but the staff could be more forthcoming and helpful when customers show genuine interest in a product.

But it seems the company is under new ownership. My more recent job with them was subpar. When I reached out to them, they tried to blame me for misusing the item. The item was a diner booth bench. I was sitting on it! How could I misuse it?! Eventually they agreed to pick up and fix it but not before I had to fight with them to do so. Everyone makes mistakes. It's how you deal with them that makes all the difference. If they had simply apologized and fixed their mistake, I wouldn't have to be writing this bad review.
