Chris did a nice, clean installation. I love the final product. (I replaced my bedroom furniture with a wall of built in shelving and drawers). BUT. BUT there is another measure of a company and that is customer service. I did not immediately notice that my drawers are not all aligned the same. It was about a week after install that I noticed it. Minor issue but this was NOT an Ikea purchase. I spent well over $4000 for a bedroom unit that is opposite my bed and stare at. I notified Robin of the issue on December 16, 2025. Robin is very responsive but she doesn't seem to have any influence on the scheduling of repairs. After 2 or 3 emails, it is now February 7, 2026 and I still have not heard from anyone or been scheduled for correction. I am happy with the product but the lack of resolution after almost 2 months will make me think twice before using Closet By Design again.

Jeanette came over and put together a digital display of exactly what I was looking for in order to fill the two wall areas. She understood that I wanted something that looked nice, would give me lots of storage area and yet wouldn't destroy the walls themselves. It was amazing to see an exact digital replica of what I envisioned. She showed me samples of the wood used and color finishes too. I was very happy with the estimate (extremely affordable, even for someone who is retired with a small pension). Jeanette was so sweet, yet knowledgeable, she kept me informed every step of the way. I received notice that my units were ready to be installed, they set a date for installation, and I couldn't be more excited. Victor and Dan showed up on installation day, and they couldn't have been any nicer and they were both so professional. They worked quietly to get all of the pieces into the house and then Victor looked at a piece of paper brought every piece together like a giant puzzle with just a paper layout. I was so impressed. While Victor was installing the larger unit, Dan was at work cutting pieces for the second unit and the facia for both units and once Victor finished the installation, Dan went through each shelf and cleaned it as well as the outside of the unit. Quite frankly, I expected them to be here for many hours, but they were done in less than five hours. They cleaned the work area so well, there was no residual dust left behind. Not only are my two new units exactly what I wanted, they are even better, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM. I am telling everyone I know that Closets By Design is the place to go for beautiful, quality work at an affordable price.

We had Bonnie do multiple closets in our apartment. She came in to measure and sent us her proposal. We wanted some changes and she was very open to making changes and giving us feedback. After we agreed on our layouts she came again to confirm all measurements. A week later Bonnie and her team showed up and worked to get the job done quickly but without sacrificing anything in quality. We love our new closets and would not hesitate to recommend Symmetry to anyone. One worked in our Master Bedroom, the other in the 2nd bedroom. Two days after installation, I discovered my engagement ring and diamond earrings missing from a box I had on my bedroom dresser (they arrived 1 hour early to the appointment, so I wasn't done removing and putting away all valuables). When I called the next day to report this to the Owner of the Company, I was told "Oh, well it must have been so and so, we fired him the day after your job because he was new and we didn't have a good feeling about him." There was no offer to rectify this and it's awful to know that they are employing people whom are sent into clients homes that are not vetted or who are not trustworthy.

I work a lot, and I just had no time to organize myself. A friend turned me onto this service, and I'm so grateful. I'm normally a little weird about letting random people into my place (stranger danger and all that), so the fact that it's is run by a mother and daughter was a big plus for me. It sounds like they usually deal with larger scale operations than my place, but they didn't make me feel like a small project or like I was a lower priority.
