I always felt this had a haunted vibe and now I know!

Had to plan an activity for a work team meetup for October, why not a ghost tour instead of going to Top Golf? What to expect from a ghost tour: this is a city tour on a bus. If you're looking to be frightened & scream your lungs out, go to a haunted house instead. Recommend a ghost tour if you like learning about new places you visit. If local, perhaps it's places you may have already seen but don't know yet about their haunted side. Your tour guide in 1.5 hr will explain the history of the sites you visit/sightsee and share stories of paranormal activity that occurred. (ie: when building was built and originally used for, who died there and how, then stories about others claiming to see/feel/hear/smell that person's ghost). You also get handed a remote to detect paranormal activity. We went at 7pm on 10/28, so it's already dark when the tour began which helps to elevate the ghostly-ness of the tour. I can't remember the name of this tour by Grimm Ghost Tours but some of the places we stopped at was West HS, Peery Hotel, and Belvedere. The ghost bus itself is what a ghost bus should be: old, creeky & bumpy every time it was in motion. Tour started and ended on time. I didn't see any ghosts tonight but also don't doubt some of the ghost stories that happened at the places we visited. Would recommend and go back.

I've been on this tour a few times, some were better than others. You're on a bus and our guide was the Preacher. Heard different stories each time and it was interesting and spooky although you probably iwon't see a ghost, they'll show you pictures of ones captured on film. Having lived in the downtown area for years, you certainly feel some building are haunted as you walk past, so it's nice to hear the stories. Sometimes we visited Ted Bundy's haunt... not sure if you're allowed to do this anymore. The cemetery at night is especially creepy. Make sure that's included as tours offered seem to change... take advantage of Groupon and other discounts offered...

Great tour! So much fun! I think I might have even seen a ghost! Tour guide was great at story telling and it was fun looking for ghost in the photos after the tour. Great way to learn about and see landmarks in Salt Lake City.

Possible ghost just pass the green light. I took this with my phone on the tour.

I really enjoyed Old Town. After my group and I were talking and although some didn't believe in spirits they did enjoy the history that was shared. Our tour guide was Beloved and she added to the experience perfectly. The stories were very informative. The A/C was broken and we were informed ahead of time and offered to reschedule. We decided to go despite the heat and the bus was stocked with water, cold wet towels, and fans. I'm excited to go on more tours in the future. Grimm Ghost Tours was a informative, professional, and safe experience. Definitely inspired some research with more local haunted history.

I don't consider myself a true crime expert, but I am drawn to folklore and mystery. So I snagged my friend to join me and we were signed up for later that evening. The price is a little steep-$30 per person, plus (ugh) online fees. But when I learned that this is a one-man show founded by a charismatic ex-radio personality (thanks, Covid), I was happy to support him. Its obvious he has put in a lot of time and effort to get this endeavor up and running. Or, um, walking. He plans to expand to a van in the future to allow tours in all weather. The pace of the tour is very comfortable. We walked about a mile and a half but it was very doable. Bring water, especially when it's hot outside and wear proper shoes. He sends an email with parking and meet up directions-they are easy to follow. Plan to pay five bucks to park, unless you find street parking during free hours. Anyway, I won't give away all the details of the stops, but we visited five locations where crimes have occurred-one as recent as 2016. Jackson, or Nightcat as he calls himself, told us the stories and sprinkled in just the right amount of eeriness with facts to make it both intriguing and educational. He did not exaggerate or try to make the stories more unbelievable than they were on their own. He also shared tidbits of information on other buildings around the area-leaving me wanting to learn more. I would love to listen to him talk more about the history of our town-he has done his research. I hope that he expands his tour offerings-I could see him doing lots of cool routes.

However, there is a significant aspect of the tour's social environment that prospective solo travelers should be aware of. While not advertised as a faith-based tour, my group was almost entirely comprised of members of the LDS (Mormon) community. While I respect all backgrounds, the tour felt like a private religious excursion rather than a general public tour. If the company is going to cater so heavily to a specific religious group, it should be marketed as a faith-based tour so that outsiders can make an informed decision about the social dynamic. Unfortunately this led to a tour experience where there was a clique' dynamic that led to significant exclusion. Group members denied me accessible seating at demonstrations and even attempted to excluded me from group gondola rides because I was a single woman outside of their social circle. Most concerning was the lack of consideration for mobility needs; Though some members were supportive, I found I was repeatedly pushed aside by group members when need assistance, even when a flight attendant was assisting me. This created an environment that felt unwelcoming and, at times, physically unsafe. I would recommend this tour for the sights, but only if you are part of the specific demographic mentioned above. I urge the company to be more transparent about the nature of their clientele or to better manage group conduct to ensure all guests are treated with basic courtesy.

Great views, and then get off at mid- mountain to meet your guide. After signing your life away on a simple form you get outfitted with your harness, helmut and zip line back pack. Quick walk to the training center, which is a mini zip line that is about 20 feet long and 10 feet off the ground. You learn how to hold on, go fast, slow down and stop. Then down you go. Pretty simple. Then a short walk to the Red Pine Zip Line for two rides. After being hooked up, you and a friend race down a real zip line. This time it's long high and a bit scary, well not really, well kinda ..but boy is it a thrill. Your $20 gets you two rides and that's enough for many. BUT for $25 dollars more you get the deluxe package which gets you a ride on the LOOK OUT ZIP LINE. Yeah it's a bit pricer, but worth it! The Red Pines is similar to the Park City Resort Zip Line but the LOOK OUT is the big one up here, and worth the price. You and your guide take a short hike down a path and climb on the SHORT CUT ski lift and ride up to the other zip line. This time you are going to be really high, and going to go really fast our guide said 25 vs 40mph and your going 2200 feet vs 880 feet. I must admit is was a lot scary than the first one. My teenagers loved it, I kinda closed my eyes for part of it. Hard to admit. But had to open them up as I needed to watch the guide's instructions to slow down and stop. You control how fast and how slow you go. They have a back up safety way to stop if your a total Spaz, which I was not. Short walk back to the mid-mountain which has a restaurant for lunch or snacks and then nice ride back down the gondola. This is a great adventure. I think you need to be 10 or older, weigh between 50-260lbs and be taller than 48 inches to ride. Our guide says they are open in the winter and that when it is snowing this it is really a great ride. I think I will be down skiing but it is a great option for someone who doesn't ski or snowboard, as you can get up the mountain and will get a both a scenic view of the mountains and the action below.
