Prior to her, I had some doozies of a dentist ( one who told me I had a rotten tooth and it needed pulling. I still have that tooth and it is in great shape ). Another dentist I had told me in 5 yrs I will need dentures ( I still have all my teeth ). So when I went to this office, I was apprehensive. Long story short... she saved the tooth. Since then she is the only dentist I would ever trust to work on my mouth. Her staff are amazing and take great care with their patients. Her practice has expanded quite a bit but the service is still the same. they tell you straight out and do not recommend any work that does not need to be done. If I could recommend a dentist, it is this practice. And that my friends is the tooth and nothing but the tooth !

Had three bad experiences…read more First. Had a regular check up and cleaning done, everything went well. After we were done I was put into a side room full of merchandise and was trying to be talked into buying a very expensive electric toothbrush. I kept saying I would think about it, after about 5-10 mins trying to push this product in me they finally stopped and took me to pay my bill. Second time I needed a retainer replaced for my front bottom teeth. Thought everything went well till a couple of hours later I started getting a very bad headache. Thought nothing of it. After a couple of day I went back to get the retainer readjusted. Took two separate visits till it was done right, instantly the headaches went away. About a month later the retainer broke off of my tooth and cut my tongue, so I took it out myself and threw it away. My third visit was for a cleaning and check up. All went well till the billing. They put I through and as I was about to leave I checked to see what they charged me for. Two procedures on the bill they didn't do, X-rays and fluoride. I brought this to their attention and I was told, "we'll get you next time". I believe that is insurance fraud, but what ever. Let's just say I found a new dentist in the area. Super happy now.

I went to this dental office today. The place is beyond clean, and it looks really cool - it's not like your typical dental offices. It is the most uncluttered office you will ever see in your life, guaranteed. Just look at the office pics posted on the site, it looks exactly like that, for all I know, they could have taken the pictures today cause it's exactly as clean, bright and unclutterd as the pictures, and I love the white and red colors. They didn't show a picture of the cool booth they have in the waiting room...the picture of the reception area, where you see that white shiny table...well on the 2 walls behind, there is a super long booth that goes from wall to wall, like an L shaped booth and it's really cool. I kind of felt excited to be there when I saw how cool these exam sections were and with all their new fancy dental equipment - everything brand new and clean! So fancy looking! They had a radio station playing in the background which I loved because while the dentist was working on my tooth, I was listening to the music and it helped take my mind off things while she worked on my tooth. My last dental office had a TV on the wall which was pointless because you can't watch tv while having dental work done. The staff were really super friendly and always with a smile on their face. I don't know if it's just me, but i've never gone to a dentist office and had staff with smiles on their faces. They might crack a fake smile and tell me to go have a seat, but at Swish, seriously, the reception girls were all smiles all the time and super friendly. I genuinely felt like they really were happy to see me and to have me there...and genuinely felt like they were happy to be working at Swish dental, and proud to be helping people. I don't know if i've ever seen a reception person at a dental office, or any office for that matter, seem like they were actually happy to be there and loved their job. It makes a huge impact on the clients, but I was excited to be there from start to end because everything was so positive, every person in that office was so positive, friendly and with smiles on their faces. The new patient form was a laminated form that I had to fill out with a dry erase pen which I thought was kind of cool because obviously they care enough about the environment to not be printing pages upon pages of documents and I assume they scan the page and then erase the info for the next patient to fill in which is an awesome idea -- and probably part of the reason their office is so clean and uncluttered. The dentist and dental assistant were so friendly and very gentle with me. I am bad with names, so I forget what the name of the dentist was...I think Jordana. But in any case, she didn't rush through the procedure and you could tell that she genuinely wanted to give me the best possible result so that I wouldn't have any more issues with that tooth in the future. I really felt at ease the whole time I was there and she let me know what she was doing as she went so that I would know what to expect instead of laying there wondering what was going on. She was very nice and pleasant and so was her dental assistant. I called on Friday morning to book an appointment and they said they could take me that afternoon, but I couldn't go that fast, so then they booked me for this morning. So seems they have really great availability right now, but i'm assuming it's because they are brand new and still building their client base, which will probably happen fairly soon because they are just that amazing. The only thing I wasn't super enthused about is that just as you walk in, before you get through the 2nd door, they have a sign asking people to remove their shoes before going in. I noticed there were a lot of croc shoes on a shoe rack but I didn't pay attention if they were there for people to use, or if there are actually that many people wearing crocs these days...I wish I had known about the shoe thing before going cause I would have brought my slippers with me, which I will do the next time I go there. It wasn't bad though, the floors were clean - probably because no outside shoes were walking around on them, so I can appreciate that. I'm just mentioning this part in case anyone else is weird like me about removing shoes. So anyways, this is my review. I totally give this place 5 stars, I would give more if I could. I'm so grateful for the other reviews I found online which is what was the deciding factor for me in calling to make an appointment at this place, so I hope my review helps someone else know that this place is a really really great place, and I highly recommend!!

I would definitely recommend both of them. I have a very low tolerance to tooth pain, which makes me very anxious going to the dentist. They assured me that it will be painless (which it was) and explained to me everything that I need to know. Both of them are very straightforward and would answer all my questions without feeling like they are rushing you. Kudos to the everyone at Smiles.

I was referred to Dr. Jaimee Buchowsky by a friend and colleague. When I first called to make my…read morefirst appointment, the receptionist was helpful and friendly. She gave me good directions on where their parkade and visitor parking was. I found their office to be clean and modern with comfortable seating. They had me fill out a patient history form on an iPad which I thought was very techy and also environmental friendly. The dental hygienist that worked with me that day was very professional and friendly. She took numerous x-rays and photos of my teeth. She made me feel at ease and explained everything that she was doing. She was very gentle and answered all my questions which I appreciated! After examination by Dr. Buchowsky, I found out I needed to be referred to a periodontist. The referral appointment was set up at my 2nd appointment by the receptionist. I asked her if my dental plan would cover the referral and she said she didn't know. She told me that I had to find out on my own. With my previous dentist's office, they had always made sure I knew what was covered and what wasn't based on my group policy. It was not busy at the front desk (2 receptionist staff) so I had asked the receptionist to call the periodontist's office to find out from them what would be covered and she did not look the least bit pleased but did it anyways. It turned out that the visit would not be covered under my plan. Knowing this information ahead of time would be helpful so I could at least know what I would be in for. I think many dental offices can money grab from their clients with all the different codes they put in for claims (as per CBC documentary/expose that I saw a few years ago). I think being informed with costs and what services would be provided are all great questions to ask. I felt that the reception staff did not go above and beyond to meet those needs and for the amount of money I spent, I am somewhat a little disappointed hence the 3 stars. I liked my new dentist and her hygienists very much and I hope I will be able to change this review.

I reviewed a 3D model of what my teeth would actually look like. I tried on a version of what my teeth would look like before the actual prepping appointment. While getting my teeth prepped, him and his dental assistant made me feel so comfortable the entire time! The day of the veneer insertion was a breeze!
