I wanted to get a piercing, and tee was supposed to do it. We were communicating about my appointment, and she never followed through. I kept texting her, and she wouldn't respond. I called the shop about her unprofessionalism, and the supervisor was really rude to me as well. So I went to another shop to do my piercing. It just so happens that the lady who did my piercing was a former employee of this shop. Happy I used her instead of this unprofessional shop. read more

The owner is very serious about his work... haven't been there in some time, but his apprentice that did my tattoo wasn't that great (don't know his name, darkskinned with dreadlocks). He originally told me he couldn't do the design I showed him because he couldn't trace it (some artist.. *eye roll*), so we found a similar one... but after the tattoo was completed I found that the feet of my elephants were drawn unevenly, and the noses were as well. Going to have to find someone to touch it up for me elsewhere. Only reason I stayed was because my best friend was getting a big leg piece from the owner at the same time. Same guy that did my piece also messed up a nipple piercing in the same night and had the customer walk out. I'd recommend you let Butch (owner) take care of you if you decide to go. read more

This place is a joke. There is never a receptionist at the front but when there is they dont know where the artist are. I went there with a simple request and came out with a screwed up tattoo. The sad part is that is was small and straightforward. It was my first tattoo to add to it. The artist blamed it on the position of the chair. SMH. I spoke to the manager and she just suggested to get a cover up. I really didnt want them to touch me again since they are not that skilled to get something simple done. I ended up getting another artist to get it done but did not come out the best but just ok. Fortunately I am going to a real tattoo shop to get a cover up. Go at your own risk read more

Grind Design - Custom Chun Li - Piercing Near Me - Queens Village, New York

My friends and I decided to get pierced at 11pm on a Monday. This was the closest place that was open. Yelp said it was open until 1am, but we later learned they are open 24hours. The location of this place was a bit sketchy and the place was small. Three of us wanted piercings. We were shocked to hear all our piercings would be $20 each. My friend was first and got two cartilage piercings and both were done with a gun. I was not too thrilled with that. Snorlax seemed pretty disorganized. My friend had to stand the whole time he pierced her. He didn't check her id. She didn't even sign a form until after. Next was another friend who got her belly pierced. That was just a mess. Again, Snorlax was all over the place. He was opening pill box after pill box looking for the right ring. He finally found what he wanted and apparently she didn't get a say in her jewelry. He put a clamp on her belly, kept it there with a rubber band, and had her hold the clamp there while he looked for the needle and other materials that should have been prepared already. The whole process took 10 minutes, which was quite lengthy given the fact that he should've been prepared. He used a huge needle which took him forever to shove through her flesh. Then it took him even longer to try and screw the top on. Oh and she was standing the whole time. I was next. I told him exactly where I wanted my piercing. He made no dot or anything. Like my friend, I held the clamp while he took his time. He began shoving the needle through my flesh when I started to lose feeling. I breathed heavily and Snorlax pulled the needle out and told me not to move. He then shoved the needle back in and did it all again. I started to lose hearing in my left ear. then my right. My head was spinning. I've gotten my belly pierced before and have had 13 earrings, so I'm no stranger to piercings, but this was painful. Snorlax again couldn't get he top of the belly ring on and it took forever. He took the clamp off to see I was bruised and bleeding. He said this never happened before, yet it happened to me. My friend and I both noticed that our piercings were oozing blood, mine more than hers, and our piercings were definitely not in the places we asked. Both piercings tilted more to the left and were not centered. If you're looking for a cheap piercing and you're not sensitive to hygiene or materials used, this place is fine. I would maybe go back for a lobe piercing, but definitely by another body piercing read more

This tattoo/piercing parlor is cool! The owner is laid back and doesn't rush you but talks you through things. He sterilized everything and made sure I agreed on the perfect spot for my piercing. He adjusted it to my liking and prepped for the piercing. I was nervous about getting my nose pierced but he assured me that I would be fine. Cool spot! read more

Absolutely awful place. Very rude on the phone to me. When I stopped by in person, the crew wasn't any friendlier. Fortunately I saw what one of the artists did to a girl's wrist. The picture and video prevented me from putting up with my potential artist's attitude and I decided not to move forward with getting a tat at Grind Design. After seeing how they completely butchered this girl's entire arm and refused to help her pay for laser removal, I walked out. Felt very sketchy but that review shook me up. I have been coming here for years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. THe owner Butch is a great artist. Go see him for your next tattoo. They also do piercings and sell cool tees. The shop has really expanded in the last couple of years. The vibe there is really cool and comfortable. I cant really say anything bad about this place. Go check it out. read more
