However, Ace Hardwares amazing Florist has closed its doors and my husband decided to try Southern Grace again due to their proximity to our house. While Ace hardware had FREE delivery within so many miles, Southern Grace is much closer to us and there was a $15 delivery fee. I do hope they will consider adjusting delivery fees based on location of delivery. The flowers my husband had sent to me were absolutely beautiful. We have to be very careful due to us having cats and he made sure to mention no lilies. The flowers were beautiful the day they were delivered as well as 4 days later they still look fabulous. I am not sure what he paid for them to determine value, but I do know that the $15 delivery fee was a bit excessive for a 2.5 mile delivery. I do hope they learn from the bad reviews and throw out or donate flowers that are borderline, rather than put them in bouquets people pay top dollar for.

It's a really neat shop and is a must-visit, don't get me wrong. There's so much to see here and there are a lot of cool pieces to look at. However, if you're a collector like myself, you will be shocked by the price gouging. I have an extensive rock collection and I already own a lot of the rocks offered here, so when I saw the prices doubled if not tripled, I gasped. For example, I own a beaver skull and it cost me maybe $40. At Prehistoric Florida, that beaver skull is marked up well over $100. I also own a cave bear paw that cost $600...here at Prehistoric Florida, that cave bear paw is marked at over $1200. So while I enjoyed browsing, I was bummed that I wasn't going to buy anything due to the high prices.
