I had my car detailed here while visiting Longmont, based on a friend's recommendation. At first…read moreglance, the car looked shiny and clean when I picked it up, but once I got on the road, the real condition started to show. While sitting at a red light, I noticed dog hair stuck all over the dashboard--clearly held on by some kind of shine product like Armor All, not removed properly. The front interior lights and sunroof controls were still visibly dirty and looked completely untouched. When I got home, my boyfriend pointed out that a panel on the back of the driver's seat was hanging off due to a missing clip--something that definitely wasn't like that when I dropped it off. The front seats may have had a shiny finish, but they were still dirty around the shoulders, and the back door cup holder had grime built up around the edges and bottom. Literally there are too many missed areas to mention. For a detail that took from 9 to 2, the result was underwhelming. It looks more like a basic vacuum and quick shine than a full $225 detail job. The time taken wouldn't have been an issue if the job had been done thoroughly, but unfortunately, it wasn't. For that price, I could've cleaned it myself on Colfax and gotten better results. I won't be returning and can't recommend this place based on my experience.

Less than two hours later, I arrived to pick it up--and the shop, which is only the owner and his adult son, became immediately hostile. The son -- six feet tall, 200+ lbs -- screamed, shoved me, and physically lifted me off the ground while the owner stood by and did nothing. I only asked for a legible receipt with my vehicle's license plate; what I got was illegible, wrong, and even sanctioned by the police when they arrived. My trauma was dismissed, and the male officer blamed me for the assault. This was not a minor conflict--this was assault, intimidation, and gaslighting. Avoid this place unless you are MAGA, you will love them! Lucas, father/Owner, has just offered the actual video/audio ... ask for it! See for yourself! Lady you are absolutely out of your mind, I have it all on video with audio. I have all the text messages to prove that you absolutely flipped out about nothing. You were upset that I finished your car to soon. That Is so weird. I gave you a price for a job that you obviously couldn't do by yourself so you called a professional, which is gonna cost you money. You agreed to the price and tried to get some work for free after I gave you a $25 discount and gave you 2 free services of putting on your new license plate and windshield wipers. You have serious mental issues and you put your hands on my son and he is allowed to defend himself. So please never show your face around my shop again. He took some photos and emailed me a few days later with an estimate, which I thought was reasonable. I met him again on 12 August and gave him a check for $200 as an advance on parts for the repair. That was the last time Rich or anyone from Midwest Auto Body contacted me. I emailed them on 8 September to inquire about the status on the order and scheduling the work, but no one replied. I phoned several times over the next couple months. In one call, Rich said that he was relocating his work garage from Wattenberg to Longmont and that things were in disarray so he didn't know when he could do the work and didn't know the status of my parts order. The next two times I called, he only told me that he "hadn't forgot about" me but didn't know if he had the parts I'd paid for and "would have to check". On my last call, on 22 October, he agreed to call me back soon with status, but never did. No one from Midwest Auto Body ever proactively contacted me to give me an update. I assume that my $200 is lost, and it's probably not worth my time to try to recover it. But I felt that I had to share this experience to potentially save others the same kind of trouble.

I was also impressed by the communication on the day of, as I received a call several hours before my appointment time seeing if I was okay with a later start due to delays early in the day. That worked for me, but they offered to reschedule me if needed. Honestly, calling ahead for a delay is so nice compared to other mobile services that just show up when they want to! The actual detail was quick and easy for me, we emptied the car of my belongings and I was able to just work from home while the detail was happening. As seen in the photos my car looks so great, the interior was extremely clean including all the nooks & crannies! My only issue is the interior windows were cleaned, but left a streaky residue in some areas. All in all a great experience, I don't get my car detailed often but I definitely recommend this service!

I had high hopes given other reviews but was very disappointed in my detail…read more The car was clean-ish, but there were a lot of things that were missed: - Running boards were untouched - still had dirt and grime all over them - Windows were a streaky mess - Floormats were rinsed but were still dirty, had dirty soapy water pooled in them when the detailer left - Interior was mediocre overall, but there were areas that were clearly missed. Doorsills were still filthy, third row was completely untouched, floor mat clips caked with dirt. - Wheels were rinsed off but were still covered in brake dust/grime - Exterior paint was washed but not wiped/dried properly, and clearly was not waxed. Lots of remaining bug residue and hazy, steaky cleaning product left on the paint. Definitely was not waxed even though that was included in the "mighty detail" package I purchased. Overall, the car would've gotten cleaner being run through a $12 touchless wash. I was also charged an undisclosed $35 pet hair removal fee, even though there was no dog hair in the car. I called to express my disappointment and the representative was completely unapologetic. They offered to send the same detailer out to give it another shot, which I declined. Why would I want the same person working on my car who did a poor job the first time? The representative then told me this specific detailer has had other complaints. Why would I want that person touching my car again then? I was the told it would be at least a month before any other detailer was available, so no recourse other than to have the same incompetent person come back out. I was offered a partial refund, which is probably fair, but I'm still left with a disappointing experience and a car that was not detailed properly. I will be looking elsewhere for a more professional detail in the future.

His communication with the process was spot on, did the work in an hour and was reasonably priced as well. I was pleasantly surprised when he was able to get me right in and fixed some dents I unsuccessfully tried to fix on my own. This guy is awesome and was great with my kids who tagged along with me.

From the beginning these guys were friendly and communicated clearly as to the time table for repairs. A lot of cars in the area had been damaged and so they were busy. Also, after reviewing the initial insurance estimate they said they'd need to talk to my insurance to cover the cost of all necessary repairs. They got my car done in the timeframe they stated, and I always appreciate it when an auto shop does that since it's unfortunately not that common. When I picked up my car, there were a few small dents that were still kind of noticeable, although in fairness they were likely rock chips, not from hail. So they said to bring it back the next day and they'd do their best to improve them as much as possible. So I dropped it off and they just needed 30 minutes to make the rock chips almost unnoticeable. Hopefully I won't need body work again anytime soon, but if I do I'm coming here, no doubt.
