Great way to start our vacation! The service was fabulous. Check in day is busy enough- It was so nice to have all of the essentials at the house when we arrived and not have to fight the crowd at the grocery store. They followed my list, got everything I wanted. Highly recommend! read more

Love The Grocery Gals! Leah has come to our rescue more than once to help me take care of my elderly mother when we lived 1200 miles away. Leah shopped and staged all of the supplies she got for her and was so kind and patient when she spoke with Mama. I just can't praise her enough and say what a relief it has been to have a trusted resource to help me when I couldn't do it myself. read more

We can have your shopping done before you get to your rental. We can have your local kitchen stocked when you arrive back home after being gone on a two week vacation! I stock new houses too! I replace your mayonnaise and milk, while you decide which picture needs to be over the sofa! Errands, hanging out to meet the cable man, you name it!

History

Established in 2018.

I looked around my beautiful coastal community and realized that there was a real need for a shopping and delivery service. Many of the seniors in the Southport area retired here and now are quite elderly without family near. I also thought about my own family’s vacations and having to start them out with a massive trip to the grocery store with road weary children. I saw a need for Grocery-Gals. We shop whenever you can’t or simply do not want to spend your precious time at the grocery store. For me, your orders mean that the Grocery-Gals, which are myself and my two daughters get to spend more time together while earning a some money. It is a win-win situation. I pay for your groceries at the store. You reimburse me, adding $10+10% of the receipt total. I take cash and Pay Pal.

And as a working mom, a mom who takes family vacations, as a daughter who had ailing family members and a resident of Brunswick County since 2004, I saw a need that I could fulfill! I decided not to take the photos and wanted to return a couple things I had bought. She said it had to be store credit and I let her know I wasn't made aware of that policy. She pointed to a sign and didn't say anything. The return policy said it had to be within 14 days and tags still attached and that it was store credit only. Not only that, but the credit is good for 1 year. That's absurd. We are from out of town and come every summer. Store credit shouldn't have an expiration date. If you want to make a return policy THAT extreme, that's your prerogative. But at least have the decency to make sure your customers are aware before making a purchase. Clothes are nice but I wouldn't recommend simply because of this. I wish someone had warned me.

I travel back and forth this way quite a bit and found this quaint store when I missed a box store I was headed for. I found everything I needed and more in this location. Outfitting a vacation home? Need a gift? Shoes? Shirts? Pet food? A microwave? Other small appliances? Then I head to Roses. I have found this store to be a reliable source for quality goods that I would easily pay twice as much for at a big box store. I don't know how they do it. If I have a small restoration job I can find the small appliances here and other accent items that really put the finishing touch on any job I do. As for the staff and management they are a dream to work with. They answer questions and are quite pleasant. At the last visit I had I was greeted by every single employee in the place! What a pleasant day they gave me. There is a large parking lot, clean restrooms and so much on the shelves and down every aisle. Roses for me!

True the prices are a little high but it's a small tourist town. I did notice not all employees were wearing a smile but thank goodness the one girl I got was sweet. I got coffee ice cream and the container was almost empty but she scrapped the bottom and got every bit out that she could. Since it was not quite enough she topped it off with the Cappuccino crunch. She even handed me napkins. It's because of her and the taste of the ice cream they get five stars. As you can see we all got some. We had such a fun day and the best part was stopping in for ice cream.

I used Grocery Gals in April 2018 for when I returned from a vacation. We returned late at night so, this service came in very handy since all the grocery stores were closed. Our family came home to our regularly used breakfast food (milk, juice, and eggs) already in the refrigerator and fruit on the counter, complete with my handwritten grocery list, receipt, and invoice nearby. Grocery Gals is super easy to use in terms of putting in an order and she shops for very specific items for you. Highly recommend service! read more
