The shop is small, but they have a decent selection of books. Still on my quest for used cookbooks as well. I will keep checking back here for more titles.

Truthfully, the friendly nature and big smile of the employee there was what made this bookshop visit so pleasant. The woman there conversed with all the visitors and tried to help us all find the perfect read. A rare touch in the customer service arena. The store has a small selection of new fiction books, but around three rooms of gently used books as well.

They sell vintage books, clothing , fanciful items, handmade bookmarks, and upcycled jewelry amongst antique furniture and comfy seating areas to read books. One can spend hours browsing new and old books in this bookstore for hours. The Netflix Series: The Summer I Turned Pretty was filmed there - starring Lola Tung, Gavin Casalegno and Christopher Briney. The bookstore was filmed in the scene where Laurel and Susannah see writer Cleveland Castillo at the Whale of a Tale bookshop (Episode 1.3) (Episode 1.3) One of the most unique and joyful bookstore experiences I ever had in my life. A definitely go see place for book lovers in Wilmington, North Carolina.

You can find books, magazines, textbooks and books for the kiddos! Oddly enough, I wasn't looking for anything but found a book I've been wanting to read for a while now. And it just showed itself! The collection of available media was very well curated. Lots of very desirable pieces without too much excess clutter. I did find the prices of be a bit high throughout the shop, even for a smaller, local place where you expect a higher price tag and it feels okay going along with it because you're supporting a small business. They also carry stunning leather bound books along with drawing supplies for the artists and creatives out there. Wandering through this bookstore felt like stepping into a magical little world that I genuinely did not want to leave. Even though we stopped in close to closing time, the owner never once made us feel rushed or like an inconvenience. She was incredibly welcoming, kind, and happy to have us there. This is exactly the kind of local shop I will happily return to again and again, not just to continue exploring the endless stacks of books, but to support and see the wonderful people who run it as well.
