Her response was that Mr. Pierro would be in to provide that. It was pretty stunning to hear $6k and I am sure if I presented with fewer assets the fee would be different, otherwise there would be transparency. I've since established the trust, and that plus a will, power of attorney, and health care proxy were all executed with a different law office, specializing in estate planning for $3k.

The negotiations took place off the record without my knowledge and nobody present. He tried bullying me and my younger brother into consenting to the agreement. When i asked for information and documents i was ignored. He was extremely immature, lazy and temperamental. If i was skeptical of anything he would get mad asking me if i was a lawyer. He would attempt to belittle me and lie so blatantly without even attempting to cover the lie up. there was no conversation he would just talk over you. He wants to tell you what hes going to do and what your going to do. He has no sentiment towards anyone at all. Jacob V. who is/was an associate there was assigned to my case originally. No complaints with him. He immediately went to work. Answered our questions. Communicated effectively. He was unwavering the minute we hired him for representation. According to Aaron he is no longer with the firm and thats how i ended up with Aaron. There may be other lawyers in the firm that are competent and wont treat you like a peasant. I dont know. This was my experience and it was nothing but anxiety the moment Aaron took our case. When we went our separate ways there were not any notes, documents, records of anything. He just pretty much winged it i guess who knows.

Mistakes such as entering in the wrong routing number for electronic payment and then I end up with a threatening IRS note with a penalty, only to now have to pay the firm to unwind their own screw up. Thinking they knew what they were talking about it cost me an extra 6 weeks for my return. For 2017 for my state return I only had an IRA with drawl 1099R and W2 to be filed but I am being audited and it will be a full 12 weeks before I see a return. At this point I just don't expect much from New York. But as long as H&R Block got their money for the service they provided that is all that matters. I won't EVER recommend this to anyone EVER. I will be going back to Turbo Tax. No reason to use this awful Tax Service.

Sparse communication, fragmented work, stonewalling and gaslighting have been the core aspects of the relationship. Attention to detail or any of the kindness and empathy usually present in a partnership has been woefully absent. We've tried everything to make it work, from being flexible to waiting weeks on end, all to culminate with consistent and blatant unprofessionalism. He left us in a horrible state of affairs and worse, he invoiced us despite never actually doing the work properly. He left us high and dry on myriad issues. He is not well-informed on newer policies and statutes, which makes his advice and abilities antiquated at best and negligent at worst. There is an arrogance within this establishment that is palpable, and it's backed up by words that fail to match any real strategic action or industry-specific wisdom. Do not trust your business to this firm, or to Mr. Stackrow.
