I just moved to Mt Juliet from out of state and discovered the home I had bought, and was…read morerehabbing, had a serious drainage problem. I discussed this with my general contractor who suggested an elaborate drainage system. It looked reasonable but was going to cost a fortune so I sought the wisdom of someone who specialized in the subject and found Yaardvark. I met Nick at my site and he explained that his first inclination is to let gravity work for us and take a re-grading approach to make the water go where we needed it to go. Nick was well equipped with a really cool, elevation measuring instrument that provided vital elevation info in a few minutes. He also recommended replacing the downspout drainage system (cheap corrugated) with smooth pipe that doesn't clog up after a few years. Nick showed me the old corrugated piping he replaced which was completely packed with dirt, no drainage happening at all. Nick had the new plan implemented in a couple weeks. It has proven totally effective through recent storms, and at a fraction of the cost and complexity that had been proposed by others. I have appreciated Nick's amicable nature and honest approach to efficient problem solving. My strongest recommendation.
