Payton was great to work with. I've never worked with a contractor who communicated so well. He was prompt to meet, quote, and get started. He was always very considerate of my budget and talked me through different options as well. I was thoughouly impressed with his ability to look at my yard and just based on the dirt and grass tell where the water was pooling and flowing to effectively place the catch basins.

Well, I hate leaving bad reviews, but I saw someone else had an issue and now I'm convinced it wasn't just me. Sorry for the length. Back in March, I put a quote request through the yelp guarantee and had a couple people, including Nashville yardscapes, come out and give me quotes. Nashville was about $700 to $800 less expensive so being on a tight budget with all the other projects, and the Yelp recommendation, I went with them. After waiting a little while I finally received my estimate which was on a word document not even company letterhead. But I didn't care because that's kind of a small aspect. Peyton came out and we did a walk around in my backyard, he did not take any measurements. Went off of my approximates(again because I'm a landscaper right lol)but I drew a pretty elementary diagram of where the builder stopped sodding my backyard and where my patio is going to go with the area I wanted sodded marked SOD. (See pics) Fast-forward a couple days and the sod arrived and then I got an email from Peyton indicating he was unable to come out that day and start the job because of car issues and asked me to water the sod in my driveway. No problem and the second day same issue, then another issue when the tilling unit was ordered at the wrong Home Depot. I ended up watering the pallets of sod in my driveway for almost a week before the job was started. I said to my wife, I don't do landscaping, (i do now...lol) but looking at the sod in the driveway I know that's not gonna to be enough to do the backyard. Again, I come back to any professional taking measurements for their jobs but i assumed he knew his craft. The company I hired to do my fence did as the company measured, as did the company i hired to lay my concrete slab. I told them how big I wanted it, but they still measured for accuracy and that wasn't done here. Two days later with the sod completely gone off the pallets I was asked how does it look and I said looks like you ran out of sod and rather than explain and trying to come to a solution, Peyton became a little argumentative and tried to put the blame on me for giving him bad measurements, walking away after I paod him saying I was trying to "nickle and dime him". . Again, it's not the customer's fault if something was misunderstood. And I reiterate, if the individual or company is professional, they still take the time and do the measurements themselves, I had to go out and buy two extra pallets of sod and I laid them myself over a couple hours. on an early Saturday morning. To echo what the prior poster said I too wonder if friends and family gave the stellar reviews or what happened? Please understand why would I hire someone to sod half of my backyard let alone leave the entire middle of my yard empty logically it makes no sense and it all comes down to miscommunication. The fact that he was walking away, saying I was trying to nickel and dime me literally was probably one of the more unprofessional amateur experiences I've ever had. no apologies or anything to try to resolve anything just stormed away, and that was it. No I'm sorry nothing. No this isnt a competitor either. Just take ownership rather than place blame on a customer lack of professionalism. As a former business owner you work toward resolve and a resolution not get mad about failure People make mistakes and not once did he say you know what I'm sorry I probably should've measured myself self. BE PROFESSIONAL!!! I guess the moral of the story is as a business owner. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices for the good of your company whether a new company or whether an old company to keep a customer happy whether you were in the right or whether you were in the wrong and if you don't, and if you get attitude And combative, good things, unfortunately don't come of it for the business. I understand everybody has an off day, we all do, but don't make excuses, own your errors. Resolve and correct things and just don't storm away because you disagree. And as I sit here and type this and wait for a response from yelp, I find out that my neighbor two houses down also has a huge issue now with Nashville yardscapes and the fence they installed over there. Sal i truly feel ya. Hopefully whatever issue you experience gets resolved. Yelp has been contacted....

After installing our side yard with pavers, we had Payton come back to build a pergola to repurpose some wood from another project. He did a great job with sturdy posts set in concrete and perfectly level. Looking forward to some more shade in the yard this summer!

Nashville Yardscapes did an awesome job leveling grading and removing rocks from our rocky and uneven yard. Payton also moved 2 underground drains for us which turned out great. Payton was prompt, honest, fair, responsible and communicative, I can't say enough good things. They also beat the schedule we initially planned out. Highly recommend Nashville Yardscapes for any of your outdoor projects. Update: I hired Nashville Yardscapes again to trim some large branches on a big tree that posed a hazard. They did a fantastic job with trimming, they were prompt, professional and very safe. There was no damage to the property and they cleaned everything up after the project. Awesome job guys!

Payton did an awesome job fixing our fence after several large tree limbs crushed it after the ice storm.

I hired Edwin and his team for a patio installation and some additional concrete work, but the…read moreproject quickly turned into a nightmare of delays, poor craftsmanship, significant property damage, and broken promises. Despite Edwin's repeated assurances that he would return to fix the issues, the project remains incomplete after 70 days, and I've been left with over $3,000 in damages that I've had to cover out of pocket. After months of his constant promises that he would "Be there tomorrow to make it right" Edwin eventually admitted he didn't have the money to repair the damages, stopped responding to my messages, and disappeared entirely. While I hate to write a negative review, I feel obligated to warn anyone considering this company to steer clear. Here are the key points of my experience: Incomplete and Incorrect Work: The patio was stamped with the wrong pattern (Fieldstone instead of the agreed Colorado Flag). Despite raising concerns early, Edwin insisted the pattern was correct. By the time he admitted the mistake, he claimed there was nothing he could do and blamed the subcoasntractor (that he brought in), refusing to take responsibility. Property Damage: Concrete spills covered my driveway, house, windows, and deck, with splashes reaching as high as the second story. Cleanup was insufficient, leaving permanent stains and damage. Worse, they moved my HVAC unit without permission, breaking it and forcing my family to leave our home for weeks in the middle of the hottest part of the summer. Sewer Blockage: The crew improperly extended the sewer cleanout valves, pouring concrete directly into the sewer line. This caused my house's plumbing to back up with sewage. Edwin again promised to return to fix the issues, but after he stopped responding, I had no choice but to hire plumbers, rent a jackhammer and fix the pipes myself. Broken Promises and Poor Communication: Edwin continually missed deadlines and failed to show up when promised. For nearly 50 days, he assured me, "I'll be there tomorrow," but he never followed through. Even after I gave him two weeks to complete the remaining items (a total of 65 days), called/texted him every day with him responding "I'll be there tomorrow to finish all the items" he never showed and stopped responding altogether. Despite paying most of the project costs upfront and offering numerous chances to resolve the issues, I am left with an incomplete project and thousands of dollars in repair bills. I strongly caution anyone against hiring M&M Masonry. The combination of poor workmanship, lack of accountability, and serious property damage has made this one of the most frustrating and costly experiences I've ever had. I was more than patient, calling and reminding Edwin daily for two months, offering him generous options for "making it right", and each time he promised he would follow through--but never did. At this point, I've had to cover all the repairs myself. I'd be happy to take down this review if Edwin even just repays me for the costs caused by his and his team's negligence, letting alone the unfinished work and proken promises.
