Called for a furnace clean and service, was told 2-3 weeks (which was fine!) only to get a call back from the tech that he was able to go do the service ASAP! Every time I needed an electrician Gropp was there for me. None of that 4 to 6 weeks out. They always have enough electricians on staff to accommodate the public. They have come to my rescue on 3 separate occasions and always polite and courteous and work fast to save you money. We've been customers of Gropp for a long time. We had to have our range hood replaced. Serviceman Nick came out and removed the old hood and of course found the wiring in an incompatible place. The exhaust pipe had to be rearranged and he had to cut some tile. He got the whole job done in very little time, told us everything that was going on. Horrible experience with the owner, Les. He did not provide a quote for a new AC within a month. I am then told to find another company because I was "rude". Really? I stand up for myself and then have to deal with that attitude? Who is the rude one here? Les obviously needs to take a lesson in customer service and keeping his word. No one likes being taken for a ride. Being assertive is not the same thing as "rude", Les. Unless you are absolutely desperate, go somewhere else. On a positive note, the office staff and the technicians are great! Matt, especially, is a kind and responsive tech. Had a difficult to solve baseboard heater thermostat problem --------- and although the first technician had to call in another -------- the problem was solved. Gropp Electric was the WORST experience. They were inaccurate in their diagnosis, unprepared (didn't have standard parts in the truck), and created undue stress by making recommendations to replace a nearly new fireplace that actually was working perfectly. I got a second opinion from another service provider who was taken aback by the poor quality service I received. I would never recommend this company and would warn you to avoid them as well. read more
