For my specific issue, this was my ticket to getting back my life again. I am a HUGE advocate now for anyone that has a Cervical, or Spine related issue and ask them to contact Dr. Johnson "First". Seek the opinion of this phenomenal Neurosurgeon first! EVERYONE that I have had dealings with at Atlanta Brain and Spine are also phenomenal! I NEVER felt alone and Dr. Johnson and her PA Joseph have THE BEST bed side manner! They speak in easy to understand language and that is a huge deal. I had an ALIFT, for Lower Scoliosis, that deteriorated with age. I qualified for that procedure and had it done, at Piedmont Hospital. 13 months after that Major Surgery, I was told I fused! They were very punctual With the appointments they made, the waiting time was very little. Michelle Johnson MD and her PA Rick are amazing. From the very first person that called me into a room to be weighed was Juanita, who was very friendly and patient, to the very end to of my visit at checkout Miss Lori was awesome! She took every call I made serious and sought out an answer for concern! Michele Johnson MD and her team treated me as though I was one of their own family members. No one rushed me And all my questions were answered! The date that I saw them was in March 2020 during the COVID-19 crisis To current. Our 1st interaction was awful. His bedside manners was not good, his energy was OFF. I'm big on energy so I felt like matching him. He didn't take the time to listen to me as a patient. I didn't get to explain myself all the way before he came back into the room to tell me he wasn't doing anything for me. He should have more listening skills than that but a lot of doctors act like him Mr know it all and the patient doesn't know their body. He acted as if he was paying me when it was the other way around. I should have gotten more help and better service for them charging my insurance almost $500 & charging me for seeing him for nothing plus parking. I told them to not charge my insurance which they did. I'm being told the wrong things by the staff while I'm still experiencing migraines. I will be posting this on every site, contacting the BBB, my insurance company to take that payment back. I was treated unfair & it wouldn't surprise me if he was a racist doctor.
