We were visiting relatives in Jasper and came across Grounded. We love this small store and the items it carries. We are from Vegas so we have Sprouts and Wholefoods but this place carried most of what we were looking for. The people very nice and helpful. read more

I'm from Evansville but in town for a week. I wanted some food that was healthy to keep in my hotel fridge. I was impress with this store. It has some ready made food, fresh coffee, lots of basic things one finds in a health food store, It's easy to get to and everyone was so nice. read more

I hadn't been here in years & it has improved immensely since my last visit. The selection of organic & healthy food is so much larger than it was before. There are many low sodium foods that I was in search of, and they are looking into sticking others. I was especially happy to find Boar's Head lunch meats that can be sliced at the "deli". The only thing that would have made my trip easier is if they had list of the products they carry for different specialty diets - low sodium, in my case. I am sure I missed many items that might have worked for my family, simply b/c it takes so much time to look at all of the nutritional labels & this store does not have a special designation/shelf label for those products. I will definitely return & I hope that each time I will be pleasantly surprised by some new products I find. read more

This place is an oasis in the middle of the desert! The desert of meat and potato land that is. I found it via Yelp, with no reviews and no photos (will provide next time I go). Honestly pretty sure they don't even know about Yelp, regardless...people need to know about this place. It's a small little health food/organic market in a little strip mall in Jasper. It's a quaint little place that seems to do some decent business; it was busy while we were there. Being that it's a bit smaller than I'm used to, there were several things that I normally buy that I couldn't find and their produce was a bit on the weak side, but other than that - and the higher midwest prices - the place was purely fantastic! The scent just hits you right away and made me feel right at home. I immediately got to work, looking for my staple items like agave syrup, Bob's Red Mill items, Quinoa pasta, Bragg's Amino Liquid, coconut water/milk, etc. They had most of what I was looking for as well as a nice selection of other items. The shop is fairly well stocked. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful from what I was seeing with other customers that had a lot of questions and a side benefit while you're shopping...they have a smoothie and coffee bar inside!! I am so thrilled to have a natural food store in my small town. I don't have time to drive to Bloomington to larger natural food stores, so having this locally owned and operated market is a definite plus for my family. With our only other grocery options in town being box store and chain options, Grounded becomes our go-to market for a variety of products from produce to cooking essentials and toiletries. I love that I can walk in and get a freshly made lunch on my busy days. Their curry chicken wrap is my favorite! I think planned educational events would be really beneficial at Grounded. Our community comes from the pot roast and taters heritage, so many of us don't have much experience with anything different. Perhaps a once a month cooking lesson for ideas on what exactly you can do with some of these highly versatile, yet lesser known products would be super helpful! We found grounded cause we were looking for some chips and I have to say this place is great. It has lots of the little things that your in the mood for and didn't know. It really takes away the junk out of shopping. I wish they could expand and have even more cause this the "Whole Food's" store of jasper. The people working are friendly and helpful, the layout of the store is easy to find things. Walking around in there makes me think about how much junk we feed ourselves. I seen some many great healthy alternative's that are really good and im not one of those people who think about that stuff. Its in a plaza area where you wouldn't think to find it. Parking is ok, prices are about what you expect but nothing outrageous. Its a must try. read more

My daughter usually shops at Whole Foods but there is none around this one horse town. This little store is as nice as it gets. This store smells good and looks good and everyone who works there are so friendly and full of smiles you want to go back and go back and go back. The selection is good and we really like the selection of the fruit and vegetables. I always see lots of customers there looking for a healthy alternative. read more
