Even though personally my wound is looking smaller and even my abscess measured smaller even lady Cydney said it looked better and my mom said it looked better. Then he says we've been treating the wound for awhile and it will just get worse and that there wouldn't be much they could help me. Doctor Huang just said compression the wrapping last weeks but that is not even true. Like he is being critical, doesn't give me much hope on healing wound and doesn't take into account diabetic slows healing not just fluid from lymphedema. I liked the other doctor who saw me Davut Savaser he was nice wish I could instead I miss Kayla she was so bubbly and happy nurse. I don't like the lymphedema lady either always nip picky on stuff. Plus they give me lidocaine before but then Debridement and make the wound hurt all over again then what's the point of the lidocaine? And none after the Debridement. Then Dr. Huang just says sorry like that's it and rushes thru the appointment. I don't think they listen to my concerns. Wound Care give me laughing lot of anxiety.

"Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans." - John Lennon…read more That thing that was bothering me on the bottom of my foot for so long went from bothersome to all consuming when the Podiatrist looked me in the eye said "cancer". In a whirlwind week and a half or so I went from happily bee-bopping through life to being a passenger on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, careening from Doctor to Surgeon to hospital and eventually home with a gaping hole that used to be where my heal was and a massive case of depression. How could that big of a hole in me get healed? My Oncology case worker told us about Legacy Wound Care and set us up an appointment. They were on the phone to me immediately and got me in within a few days to meet Debra, an RN who specializes in wounds like mine. I was used to Doctor's and nurses unwrapping my bandages and watching their eyes get huge when they see my surgical area. Debra just sort of shrugged and said that she could get that closed. For the first time in a long time I felt some hope and felt the weight lift off my shoulders a little. Within a appointment or two I was fitted with a Wound Vac, which is just like it sounds, a vacuum that allows the wound to heal in a negative pressure environment and also suck any fluids out into a tank. It is my constant companion, it's on me 24/7 except for appointments twice a week to change the dressings and tank. Hopefully it will be done filling in the hole by the middle to end of April. Cancer sucks, believe me, but sometimes these things that interrupt our ideal life bring people into your life we would not normally meet and in this case Debra is that person. How I could not really enjoy the discomfort these visits bring but look forward to them anyway is a tribute to everyone here from the front desk on back. If your ideal life takes a sudden detour under a Surgeons knife and you need healing this is your place to come get better.

I've been to a few appointments since October, and all I've gotten is some doctor's notes for work…read moreand a prescription that's barely working. Dr Newman barely looked at my ankles any of the times I went in, and I haven't had any kind of treatment for mysterious pain in my ankles besides a couple attempts at meds and being talked to for maybe 5 minutes every time. But I kept going because this was the one doctor I found from the packet my work leave company sent me, and I had to keep to one doctor for paperwork. The front desk told me they don't take state insurance, but that I could pay out of pocket. So I have been. $281 each month on credit cards because I dont currently have an income because this isn't worker's comp. I have been marking the box that asks about insurance, and they didn't seem to have an issue since they'd already told me I'd be paying out of pocket. Today I get a call telling me that it actually IS an issue, something about 'loss of revenue,' and that it'll be up to the doctor if he wants to see me. That was all at 8:45 this morning. I was told I'd get a call back about the doctor's decision. When I said I already paid, that I've BEEN paying, and this is an issue that's putting me at risk of losing my job if I dont have my doctor's visit with the paperwork for the leave person, she just told me that I'll get a call back with the decision, and I'd of course be refunded if he chooses not to see me. By 10, I got an email saying my payment was being refunded. It's now 2pm and I have yet to get a call back. Guess I have my answer, though. Hey Insurance Lady: Maybe tell your front desk people not to tell prospective new patients that they can pay out of pocket if their insurance is out of network, so more people don't get screwed over.

After a consultation with…read moreDr. Brian Ragel, some actual solutions were presented, discussed, and solutions both short term (medications that actually work!) and long term (possible surgery) were offered and accepted. Immediately, my wife's symptoms were alleviated by the medicines prescribed, and with an injection and a surgery both on schedule for the near future, for the first time in six weeks, my wife is happy, hopeful, mobile, and nearly pain free! Save yourself the time, money, effort, pain, suffering, heartache and heartbreak: if you are experiencing agonizing nerve pain, skip the chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapist, and above all, the urgent care visits, and get yourself into Rebound, as fast as possible! Everything else is a waste of time. Just be aware: the Rose Quarter location is a little tricky to get to, so if there's one in a more convenient location for your needs, I'm sure they're just as great. That said, I get the feeling these doctors cater to Portland Trailblazers and other professional athletes, so...take from that what you will. Either way, this visit was a slam dunk, and I'm both thankful for their efforts and expertise, and hopeful for continued positive changes in the future!
