NOTE: I pulled a $99 dollar brake pad special out of the mailbox right when I was feeling that they needed to be replaced. I called the number, the phone system said to make an appointment and it would send a text. I made an appointment for 10am. After arriving, I was told it would be an hour and 40 minutes. Well, that was just how long it took I found out for them to look at my car. They said I had some play left in the pads, I didn't really know what that meant. I asked if they were telling me if I did not need them? They said it depends on how much you drive. I drive A LOT these days in Austin so let's replace them. My brakes have been grabbing when I brake and taking much more pressure in order to stop. I was there and didn't want to start this wait time all over on another day. They said it would take another two hours. So now I am 4 hrs in on waiting and getting tired of it. I pull the service manager aside and he said 30 minutes more. Over an hour later they give me a $700 bill to pay for brake pads and rotors on my 2017 Nissan Sentra. The $700 did include $35 regular oil change but still... I was shocked and exhausted. Never was the cost broken down, discussed or explained thru out this time. There is not a shuttle option like it said there was in the text they sent. The service manager said they haven't shuttled in a year and half. What was the point of even making an appointment if they were going to make me wait till they were ready just to even look at my car? Surely you can get brakes done for less.Tough lesson learned singular people so sharing my experience here! read more

Everything you hate about buying a new car is this place. You know how Clark's face looked when he turned around and saw Cousin Eddie? It's that same old car dealer deal where they're wanting to do deals on their terms, and they end up being the ppl you hope you never see again. About 2.5 hours in I wasn't going to buy a car from them no matter what, and little did they know I'd already arranged financing thru a credit union but I wanted to see if they were going to get me a better deal, and then they insulted me, then the F&I guy, who has the personality of a guy who seemed to hate me when he saw me. Here's a piece of wisdom: never underestimate your buyer. He might have just gotten a $250,000 inheritance from his aunt, and also has financing you're not aware of. Don't assume you can't get the financing. Don't listen to your F&I guy because he's not any good. He's not good for your brand, either. And this sales model you're using is OLD. Holding ppl hostage isn't a way to wear them down, it's just a way to piss them off. read more

I get a phone call and a text message about a test drive appointment with Jennifer Illig. She said on the phone that they had it and wanted us to see it. My wife and I drive from Georgetown, TX to Cedar Park. Using our time and gas and paying tolls to get there. So we get there and were greeted nicely and she said she would pull it up front for us to test drive. She leaves us sitting in the show room and she comes back and says they don't have the vehicle. BAIT AND SWITCH TIME! "Our database hasn't been updated. Can we fit you with another vehicle?" We wanted to see the one we wanted. So not just no but HECK NO. She says "Sorry for the inconvenience. Freddy, the manager asked Jimmy, my service advisor to cancel the charge and David, the master mechanic asked to bring back the car when they can better assess the situation. Abysmal service department. I scheduled an appointment @11:15 to replace my battery because it had died the previous day. Nissan ran a battery check, confirmed it was dead, and so I waited while they took my car. Finally, it took Evan exactly 2 hours to come back and (stupidly) ask me if I wanted "the only battery they had to offer", which was $330. I raised my concerns and was met with hostile pushback from both Evan and the manager Zane (who doesn't even remember he first helped me get my Nissan when he was just a salesman in 2020). I politely decided to simply take my services elsewhere & on my way out I was chased down by Zane and told that I was BANNED from Cedar Park Nissan. Funny because after all of this I went to 2 different Auto Zones and was told there was absolutely NOTHING wrong with my battery. Voltage was where it needed to be & when I turned my car off it was turning back on with ease. They literally tried to swindle me out $330 for a battery replacement they knew I didn't need. I purchased a service contract and GAP agreement originally and now that I don't have the vehicle I have called several times over the past week to receive a refund. No one has returned my call. The Ford Dealership salesman was a little bothered, hot and commented that he was ready to go home. I decided to drive to the nearest Nissan Dealership and Cedar Park was the closest, we arrived about 30 minutes before closing and was greeted by Victor. He was eager, nice and professional, I decided right there that I was going to help this young man by buying a car. We picked up a Pathfinder on the lot that had all of the options we wanted and did a test drive and moved forward with the deal. I felt that we received a reasonable deal, the staff stayed late until we finished the deal and were handed the keys (8pm). Just in time to grab sushi. I bought A used car here in the initial buying process was streamlined and simple. I didn't have any problem with that. However over the course of a couple weeks problems started cramping up they were more than minor. I was passed from person to person manager to manager never getting a resolution the general sales manager who goes by the name ski fancies himself a bit of a player and feels that he can sweet talk his way out of things that are wrong with the car. When I spoke to the general manager he was very rude and dismissive and basically told me to get out we don't need your business you bought a used car from us that's not our bread and butter. WORST OF THE WORST!!! I was looking to lease a new car and after waiting for 7 plus hours, at around 8.45pm made the necessary payment and left on 10/31 since they were taking forever for the paperwork and I had to be somewhere at 9pm. Initially, my salesperson told me that I'd be driving out with the car same day. Later in the evening on 10/31 he said they are acquiring the car from some other dealership and can get it to me next day morning so I could come in and complete the paperwork and pickup the car. When I arrived, still couldn't see the car. I demanded I wanted to see the car first and then I could sign the remaining paperwork. At this point, I am being told they could get the car as soon as evening but nothing concrete yet. I understand the delays but here is the worst part of their sales team. Morning of 11/1 one of the manager comes out of his office and starts accusing me and my family of not being present to sign papers when in fact we were there all day on 10/31. We took a break at 5pm to go get LUNCH and our salesperson told us that he would call us when the paperwork is ready. Then comes another sales manager named NATHAN LEIVAS who had no business to interfere but trying to gang up on me because he thinks he can. This guy says the deal if off if you don't agree to sign now. When asked about timeframe for car delivery since they kept pushing out multiple times, he did not commit to a timeframe. After I asked for refund and or receipt for my payment, he got agitated and said "contact our lawyer". It did not stop there, he went further and threatened to kick me out of the store because he saw the deal going sideways. I hope he has family too and nobody threatens his family like he was doing to me and my family. Now comes the general manager "Dustin Krieger" who was witnessing this first hand. Although, he handled things much more professionally, he completely ignored the part where his sales manager NATHAN was threatening to kick me and my family out because I asked for refund. When asked him if he supports how his sales people handled things (setting wrong expectations, kept me and my family that includes an infant waiting all day and ganging up on me and accusing me and my family of asking too many questions about the process), he simply ignored and says why are we wasting time if you're not interested in buying. I can't begin to imagine how many people have been put together by these people, considering the overall high ratings here. That being said, I hope this serves as an outline to help others avoid being taken advantage of. 1. My Trade In: I was offered $8k for my trade. KBB priced it around $9,500. I told them I was going to walk and, all of a sudden the offer was $9,500. Long story short, Carmax later appraised it at $10,500 and CP Nissan offered $10k max. Eventually went to Town North Nissan and they paid me $10,500. That's 31% more than the first offer I got at CP. Additional notes: They're going to try to get as much info from you as they can in order to put you together. They don't need to know what you owe on a vehicle in order to make a trade offer. Get the offer before you give them any ammo. 2. Their Internet Price At some point in the process the salesman said they would "honor the online price." This seemed odd, but I didn't speak up at the time. After they bumped their trade in offer by $1,500 I was about to move forward with the purchase. That's when the salesman informed me that there was an additional $1,900 ON TOP OF THE INTERNET PRICE that I would have to pay for the "protection package". This consisted of clear stickers behind the door handles, and along the door to prevent wear and tear. Also a "spray coating to protect the tint." Once again I told them I was leaving. This is when the sales manager approached (he saw me standing at the desk asking for my keys back). He told me that the additional $1,900 was "pretty standard" (it's not at Town North Nissan), but that if he had to waive it to get the deal done then he would. I agreed and we were, once again, ready to close the deal. 3. The Back End Financing Hustle Now, I will admit, I had negotiated a fairly good deal at this point. This is when the sales manager asks the salesman "we're financing this, right?" I informed them that I already had financing in place through UFCU and I planned on using a buyer's check that I had with me. Well, wouldn't you know, now they tell me that they can't give me the agreed upon price unless I finance through them (this is another way they make money off of your purchase). So, I play the game, I ask what the best possible rate they can get for me would be if I had near perfect credit. The manager tells me that with top tier credit he can get me 5% (Town North got me 0.9%). I declined to finance through the dealership and was told that they will have to charge me $1k over the Internet price for using outside financing (shady, I know). This is when I had them give me the final agreed upon numbers on paper and left to get an appraisal from Carmax and shop their price at Town North Nissan. 4. The "Be Back" I ended up getting a $10,500 appraisal from Carmax and buying a vehicle at Town North Nissan. TN matched the Carmax offer, CP said $10k max, even after sending them the Carmax offer. The rub, and the main reason I'm providing this public service announcement, is that when I got to TN they pointed out some shady numbers in the offer CP sent me on the way with. The MSRP was wrong, the "Premium Package" (aka moonroof) wasn't listed, the rebate currently available wasn't listed, and the manager hadn't signed the quote. They told me, point blank, if they will sell you this vehicle at this price, buy it! (The moonroof that CP didn't list would have added another $2k to the price). I texted the salesman from CP to confirm that the offer was accurate and surprise, surprise, he tells me that it's expired (it had been about 3 hours since I left CP). The Moral of the Story It certainly seems like Cedar Park Nissan was bound and determined to get one over on me. From the low ball trade in offer, to the $2k "protection package", to the 5% financing for top tier credit (TN gave me 0.9%), to the suspect quote they handed me in an attempt to keep me in the building (only to cancel the offer as soon as I indicated that I wanted to take them up on it). Don't fall for their tricks! read more

To anyone reading this I would definitely reconsider doing business with Cedar Park Nissan! I have never been to a dealership that has a total disregard for their costumers. I went in today to have a diagnostic done on my 2018 Nissan Murano only to be told it would be a four hour wait!!! Wait what? Four hours and that's just to have it looked at, not to be released back to me. I'm sure it would have been a six hour wait. They continue to book as many costumers in as possible to make as much money as they can with little to no consideration for people and there time. I waited 10mins before I was even helped or greeted after walking in the door. All the service people just look at you and don't even communicate that some one will be with you shortly. The person that finally did help me told me that they only have one diagnostic machine and that's why they have such a back up! I mean come on get it together cedar park Nissan! Last time I was there it was 3 hours for a simple oil change. Oh and the car buying experience wasn't any better. They really tried to screw me and put my into a car I wasn't even there to buy. I had great experience in this place on prior occasions but today was just not acceptable. Came here on time to my appointment for an oil and filter change. It Took them a total of 4 hours. At around the 2 hour mark they told me that they didn't have the filter and it was being delivered. At around the 3 hour mark I approached the services desk to ask about the status of the filter and they confirmed that the filter had arrived but it took them another hour to put it in. Went to this dealership because we saw a used car for sale on carfax. We decided to get it and was told "we'll take care of you, we'll service it before you pick it up". Little did we know, we picked up the vehicle a few days later with an almost empty tank, oil change needed, brake pad wearing thin, and other issues. We've only had the vehicle for 3 weeks and already bringing it in for service. Additionally, when I asked about the service warranty we purchased, they said I could bring it back to their dealership. This morning I made a service appointment and told the service rep what the issue was (starter issue). After the appointment that was made, I made arrangements for the vehicle to be towed to their location as the car did not start this morning. Once they received the vehicle, I received a call stating they recommend bring the vehicle to a Chevrolet dealership for service because they aren't trained to work on Chevy vehicles. If that was the case....I wish I was notified before spending money on towing the vehicle there! I've purchased used vehicles in the past but I must say, worst experience ever with a dealership! read more

Had an appointment (and approval through credit yes) after waiting an hour, the person i had appointment with greeted me. Another staff member NEVER notified him i was there. Long story short, 5 1/2 hours later, i was not approved. i will say, my credit is bad but again i was told i was approved. They let me drive the vehicle to lunch, i fell in love. Monday comes around, i provided info for a joint applicant, never heard back. i can only assume i wasn't approved which is ok, but a courtesy call, text or email would have been nice. i emailed twice and sent a text with no response what so ever. I love the vehicle i tested and will try to buy one someday but i doubt it will be this location. read more

Big shout out to Diesel Tech in Leander. They took care of all that and I had them replace the timing chain and water pump since they were in there, all at a much lower cost than the (lol) solution offered by the dealer at the time. 16 months and 40k miles later and the truck has been running great.
