I wish I'd done more research before choosing an insurance broker while purchasing my home, but my…read moretitle company seems to be in some kind referral partnership with InsureU Colorado, so I went with their recommendation out of convenience. After combing through my policy with Travelers, I found that my property square footage was listed at over 1,000 sq ft more than the actual square footage of my home with not one public property record supporting this erroneous number. While being overcharged for my premium with Travelers, I made several calls and sent multiple emails to InuranceU Colorado to correct this suspicious error, and I've yet to have any of them returned, although they immediately answered the phone and returned my messages when I was initially shopping for my policy. So, if you find yourself at the mercy of InsuranceU Colorado after a dizzying two-week closing as I did and then require service of any kind thereafter, I suggest you disguise yourself as a new customer if your goal is to actually speak with someone. But, if you forget and mistakenly identify yourself as an existing customer, then prepare to wait--indefinitely.
