A chubby grubber next to the proud (and tired) owner Michael G. the second week they were open.
    Jack H.

Start off by saying I'm friends with the owner (Michael G.) back from 2007 or so, when we were building a home behind the original location on North Davis Highway (which is closed through the end of 2025 as the work on updating the equipment in the kitchn, and have all-hands-on-deck in the new location.). He is a top notch fellow and very community minded, and this fresh restaurant collaboration with his partner Mike P. is an experiment of sorts. If you like Tasty Freeze you will like Grover's. They put an emphasis on having a wide variety of shake flavors and sundae's, and offer an old-fashioned banana split. We have always loved their ice cream offerings at the original Grover's and here you find the same. The burgers and sandwiches are cooked fresh to order. EVERYTHING is cooked fresh, so people are sometimes surprised there is a slight wait. But of course there is! You can expect your sandwich to come with very fresh and crisp lettuce, fresh tomato and onion slices, and classic dill pickle chips. It's rare to find these items so fresh these days, and I give them a lot of credit for this. The fries they serve are a frozen variety that are lightly battered and seasoned. I do not care for them at all, myself, but a lot of people love them, and I do love having a choice and here it can be fresh cut onion rings or fried green tomatoes for a slight upcharge. Their FGTs are excellent and worth trying! The restaurant interior is an interesting throwback to diners of years gone by, with cherry leather seats and a black/white checkerboard tiled floor. Beautiful to see in person and obviously a labor of love. Built in 2025 it has all the modern safety features one would expect. A few design issues I noted of concern are the crowded drink machine area next to the restrooms, the cramped parking situation, and a questionable flow for the drive-through once that opens. Since these are less than perfect I took off a star (for now, will update once the dust settles) and hope that once Grovers 2.0 is fully open they can keep up with what is evidently VERY high demand for a place just like this in the Milton area. Job well done Mike and Michael, job well done.

Kills me to give this place 3 stars because we love Grovers. Huge fan of original location! This was the 1st time to this location and 1st time I didn't get the cheeseburger. The chicken was okay. Bbq sauce was a necessary addition due to lack of seasoning on the tenders. I did appreciate that they weren't over breaded or over cooked! My fries were at room temperature. My husband said his burger was good, but swore one of the patties was fresh and the other not so much. The onion rings were perfect as always. When asked if I would order the chicken again over the burger, my response is no, but I'm happy I gave it a whirl. I'm sure we will come back. I know everyone's excited for expansion and new atmosphere, but the old place felt like sitting in Mom's kitchen! Will miss that place!

Love the new look of this location and the size. Customer service was on point as always. The Same staff of the original location. Plenty of outdoor dining spaces. As with the other location.. all the food was excellent... definitely worth the visit to Milton.

We tried the new Grovers last night & loved it !!! Got the honey garlic wings and the homemade ranch was some of the best I've ever had ! Highly recommend this place ! It is a longer wait but that's because everything is made fresh . And the portions are very big sizes , prices seem high but after we tasted the wings we decided that they were well worth it ! Coming back soon !

I don't know who's running this place, but they definitely know what they're doing! This was by far some of the best food we've had in a while. We both ordered the 10 wing dinner meal which comes with Cole slaw, toast, and a side of your choice. We were hesitant at first about the price but it was beyond worth it for the amount and quality of the food! I was thinking about getting the hot buffalo sauce but went with the medium instead and I'm glad I did because it was definitely more spicy than anticipated (I love hot wings). The ranch was fabulous too! The onion rings and the fries had a good crunch and the flavor was great. My husband got the Asian chili sauce for his and they were out of this world delicious!!!! The toast was toast, not out of this world but still good. The Cole slaw was so yummy too. The inside was very nice too. It was designed like a 50's diner. The service was good too, very friendly staff. We were so full by the end and had many leftovers to take home. Definitely will be back in the near future. They also have military discount.

A piece of peanut butter pie $5.75 and it was a small piece with a couple of squirts of whipped cream if you even want to say a couple. We got it to go for my Dad and I was shocked they could charge that much. They stop serving breakfast and do just a lunch menu even though they close early, we probably would have enjoyed the breakfast more maybe. Definitely not a fan of this place. Food was nothing special.

The place is really quaint with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The menu includes a great variety of different items. The soup of the day was a green chili chicken stew that sounded too good to pass on, so I ordered that along with a side of Gouda grits and a side of sautéed green beans. The grits were delicious! The green beans were very good; and the soup was good. My wife ordered the Philly Cheesesteak with sweet potato criss-cut fries. The fries were bomb! The sandwich was okay, she was trying to figure out what was missing. On the way home she realized it was missing cheese. A cheesesteak without cheese?!?! Service was very good. Our server was attentive without being overbearing. This bistro is not cheap by any stretch, but it is good and I'm sure we'll return.

This…read morewas the fancy place in town to go to if you had a hot date, or for before you go to prom. I never made it out, though, until I moved away, got a job, and then came back to visit recently. I went out to explore downtown Milton some, checked out Blackwater State Park, and got hungry and decided to finally come check this place out for lunch. So we drove up, got a table, and started browsing the pamphlet they gave us of the history of the building. It was a quaint little read. The restaurant is in an old house that had many different lives over the course of its existence. It was wooden, comfortable, had a nice bar built into it. Very cozy and rustically upscale. The service was also very good. A nice lady that tended to all of our drink needs. Very pleasant. And the food came out in a timely fashion. As for the food, we started with the The Sampler (A mixture of our house favorites: Artichoke cheesecake, Baguette, Loaded Brussel Sprouts with Shrimp, Coconut Shrimp with Mango Chutney). This was nice. I love a good savory cheesecake, you don't see that very often. It was very interesting loading the sprouts with shrimp, but I've never said no to a shrimp. And the coconut shrimp were pretty standard. It was a good plate, but not mind-blowing, if you wanna try a different app. My main was the Creole Crawfish & Andouille Pot Pie (Louisiana Crawfish, Savory Vegetables, Andouille, Cajun Cheese Cream, Puff Pastry). This is a loose-leaf pot pie. So basically a gumbo with a puffy piece of puff pastry on top. So it's a lot of fun, but don't expect a lot of crust with each bite. Super creamy, super Cajun in the seasoning, no regrets getting this. I also got to try the The Blue Salad (Filet of Beef. Signature Assorted Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Cucumber, Bleu Cheese, Balsamic Vinaigrette, Candied Pecans, Bleu Cheese Dressing). This was a good salad! Nice and tender strips of filet, funky bleu cheese, sweet and crunchy pecans. I love a nice interesting salad like this. Nothing boring involved. And a ton of that delicious dressing. Overall, the Bistro was well worth the wait. Good vibes, good food. I'd come back.

We arrived around 10:30 on a Wednesday morning and we were wrong to think that the place would be empty after an early breakfast rush. We were seating upon entering by Brooke who also was our server. Next time, we're thinking a Grouper sandwich as they were being enjoyed at two tables next to us and looked delicious. Our breakfast entrees arrived quickly. The omelette came with a choice of side and I chose the potatoes. They were seasoned but a bit cold and hard. Brooke offered to swap them out when checking on us, but by that time, I was filling up from the large packed omelette. It was filled with pork, peppers, onions and cheese with more spicy, sweet pork on top. I wish the entrees came with toast. The shrimp and grits were served over gouda grits as requested and the dish was spicy and filling. Definitely one of the best we tried in a while. Drinks were refilled promptly and Brooke took care of her guests quickly and with a smile.
