Worst customer service I have seen. didnt Want to take the time to look up a price for me, told me he looked yesterday but couldn't find any prices in computer, asked if he could scan it. he said it would be a useless endeavor. These pics are horrible but this is the best garden/grow shop in Maine. They will beat or match anyone's prices. Awesome staff and even better knowledge. They just need to update the pics on yelp. Don't get fooled by other shops in Maine this is the best one by far!! read more

Jim the owner was pretty rude to me and ive spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars there between the Augusta and Auburn stores..Why would i give my hard earned money to someone who treats my patronage as a nuissance? Heres the deal.. I went in as i have many a times. The neon open sign was off and the flag was on the ground so i didnt know if they were open. I let him know when i went in as its like that most times i go there.. Ive kindly mentioned a couple times that i didnt know they were open. (It was sunday this day) Anyways, i see jim at the counter on the computer and there is a guy/customer with him.. I peruse the store for a few minutes since hes with someone, but for that time i didnt hear or see them talking, just jim staring at the computer screen. So i decide to ask a question about where to find a certain type product. Without even having the decency to take his eyes off the screen to look at me he rudely snaps at me that he is busy with a customer... I immedietly left with no plans on going back unless an apology is in order.. A couple of times hes almost treated me like a nuissance and heres what i think the reason is.. As a medical patient and caregiver i have contacted several nutrient companies and recieved samples from them. The ones that didnt send me their samples directly agreed to send some to my local grow store since they already carry the product usually and sometimes give samples to them to give out to customers anyways.. So these nutrient companys asked me to coordinate it with jim and unfortunately Jim has been less than happy to help. I dont know if he thinks im taking business from him or what by getting samples of some things instead of buying it, but ive spent well past the thousand mark there. Hundreds on nutrients alone. Easily.Jim is already given tons of nutrient samples to hand out which hes gotten annoyed with people asking about... But arent the samples for the customers anyways? Companies WANT large growers like mr to try their product so its kind of jims JOB to give out the samples, not act like its an annoyance when people ask. Jim was supposed to contact a rep from heavy16 and Grotek for me but hasnt replied to any of my emails, nor the company representatives calls.. Smart pots also contacted jim to give me a couple sample pots, but he hasnt aknowledged this.. Ive bought and tried several nutrient lines and spent thousands.. Its not unreasonable for me to want to sample companies nutrients side by side in a controlled test, and if these companies are willing to give me samples then Jim should oblige.. Jim, if you want my business back, and the business of the several patients ive sent there and the several i will now tell not to go, and to go to the lewison urban garden center, than mayb follow up with me. And maybe call these companies back for me.. Im sure the urban garden center would be happy to have my samples sent to them if you dont. Maybe you had some things going on, but as someone who gives you money, i didnt deserve that. I could just as easily shop on amazon or across the river.. If you want to be in touch than email me.
