Update..... Was in to buy dog cookies for my little, the owner approached me and wanted to talk. She acknowledged the issues stated in my review as well as that she verbally stated that NAIL trims would be going up to $25, all other services would be $7 as they had been. She also acknowledged that HER signs in the front didn't state that first service was $25, just nail trims. When you own and operate a small business in a small area (I do as well) if you mess up, you make it right!!!!!! We live in a small area, a lot of people live off a fixed income around here, they are fairly discriminating against low income people. It seems that have out priced themselves or been so rude that they lost and most likely continue to lose business. There wasn't any offer to make things better, just was told that's the cost of doing business. Still would give no stars if possible. read more

We took our 3 dogs to Grrrs and purrs on November 11 2022. After the dogs were done the owner came out and stated that they weren't a good fit for us and basically kickEd us to the curb! The owner was rude and disrespectful! This was after we paid them $235 plus a tip! When we got home we discovered they barely touched out small dog but still charged us $75.00! I would not recommend them to anyone period! read more

So disappointing. I scheduled an appointment in January. A few days prior to the appointment, I kenneled my dogs. When I picked them up, they both surprisingly had baths/grooming so I called to reschedule the appointment to February. Unfortunately my 85 year old mother is having serious medical issues and she has a procedure scheduled on the new grooming day. When I called to reschedule (a week in advance) I was told to find a new place to have my dogs groomed. When I offered to pay for the missed appointment I was told it was not about the money, but the well being of my dogs. (???) I understand they are trying to establish a consistent schedule with new clients. However, life happens. Perhaps if we all had a little more grace, the world would be a better place. After reading other negative reviews, I have found that they like to respond by saying they are unaware of the person who is doing the reviewing. Please do not believe this response. One reviewer wrote a 5 paragraph review about the same issue with his grandmother and they responded that he was nowhere in their records. read more

My first time in... and we didn't agree on the length of my dogs haircut. That fine. But the way she spoke to me was so disrespectful. Customer service went out the door. I work in the hair industry and I have never spoke to a client that way. Thumbs down for friendliness. She kicked me out and I found another friendlier groomer 30 min later that accommodated my needs. read more

They literally judge you by how much money you have I was a client for a long time and things were good at first when I was able to tip 5 or 10 extra bucks on top of 55 dollars they charged me for a basic wash and cut, then they raised prices to 65 dollars and so I couldn't tip anymore as I lived on a fixed income, and the service on my dog got worse and worse each time I took her back after the third straight time of bad cuts I choose to give it a bit and try again later. When I called back after all this covid stuff trying to get my dog a trim they told me they weren't taking new clients even though there recorded messages says they are. But I'm not a new client either they are completely rude and a business that don't deserve anyone's business since they discriminate against the poor read more

Yes, it's all about the money.... been a client over 6 years, never missed one appt. always on time, always tipped, and scheduled per their new requirements one yr. in advance.... cancelled one appt. and all the yearly appts, were deleted. WOW. sure makes one feel good about being loyal and always giving super reviews... as their rates have gone up, the service has gone down, never complained, knew the fur would grow out, but now after this I will no longer recommend this facility. read more

They are too rigid when you need to change an appointment. Also they insist that your dog go every four to six weeks. They pretty much asked me to leave and gave me a name of another groomer. They were quite rude to me and I had been a good tipping customer for about a year. The last two times that I had them groomed there, the dogs came home shaking like a leaf which continued for a month. They were also very clingy. read more

We have used Grrs N Purrs for several years for two different Persians. They have always done a great job. However we won't be back! First of all our kitties go in with absolutely no mats or tangles, but yet we are charged the same price as the neighbors dog down the road who is always a matted mess. Today we were charged $75.00 and they want her back every 3 months. Sorry....don't think so! read more

Very nice ladies here, they always remembered who we were. My dog always smelled so good, no more shedding. Was happy to tip, even if it was just a nail trim. Unfortunately I had to cancel an appointment 24 hours in advance, due to a health issue with my dog. This happened once before but I did cancel ahead of time. I was told that I should find another groomer and they gave me a list of suggestions. I'm so glad they did, I decided on Pet Smart and it cost less too. If you have an elderly dog who needs a little TLC, this is the place to go. They have an express service for certain breeds, and it only takes 30 minutes. That way they're not using a kennel until being picked up. Not quite as thorough but no problems making an appointment. I was able to shop next door and they called me when he was one. read more

Have been a faithful customer for 30 years, but one time I forgot an appointment, realized it less than an hour later, and immediately called to apologize and see if I could still bring in my dog (the answer was no) but was still penalized $25. If this is how a small town business rewards faithful customers, I am no longer doing business with them. A new groomer opened up out on Sherman Road, and they will receive my repeat business from here on out. Shame on you, Grrs and Purrs! read more

I will be taking my pet elsewhere from now on. When I was stuck at the DOL I called to cancel my appointment I was told I would be charged $25 for canceling. When I made the appointment I asked if there would be a charge if I couldn't make it and had to cancel, and was told no. I said I would not pay the charge and will go elsewhere, and that's when Danielle just hung up on me. Very poor customer service with mediocre services in general. read more

These gals are so nice and my dachsie loved it there. He's a long haired dachshund and he gets trimmed because we travel and he stays cleaner. When I picked him up he was happy and energetic, to me that's a good groomer! They did a beautiful job! Thanks ladies! read more

Took my toy poodle in. She was way overdue for clipping and had some leg mats. They bathed and clipped her and 2 hours later she looked like a new dog. Would highly recommend them. It looked like a team of four women all fussing and primping the pups. My Lola seemed comfortable with them and that's impressive after just one visit. read more

I'm taking away a star from my last review as the last time our boys were groomed here it wasn't the same quality. It was still better than other places we'd been to but not great like we had experienced before. We don't know if it was due to a change in staff, a busy day, out just an off day, but were disappointed. Considering we drive from tri-cities we didn't feel it was worth it this time. Because our experiences have been great in the past only time will tell if their quality keeps up. read more
