As I made…read moremy appointment, the nice lady said that they normally don't just come out to do this and would if they were emptying my tank. We've lived here less than a year, and I knew that wasn't needed, but I agreed to it since I needed the knowledge for cleaning the filter. Matt came out to educate me on the type of septic we have and how it works. He showed me how and cleaned the filter. He said the septic did not need to be emptied and could have easily taken advantage of the situation. He was honest and did not. He spent the time with me to be sure I knew what and how to clean the filter. Upon doing this, there were a few things overlooked from the builder's POV.
