I have scheduled three appointments with these clowns for paint touch up (after the blinds installer damaged my window frame) and they have no showed each time. The scheduling of appointments were made through blinds.com twice and once by their in house staff. I never got a call, text, or anything saying they couldn't make it - just nothing. Also, I have tried multiple times to call them (they never answer even during business hours) and left multiple voicemails in which they have never gotten back to me. Real professional Grumco. I have just made a fourth appointment through blinds.com in a few weeks. If they don't show up I guess I'll just have to drive to Federal Way and ask what the hell is going on. Bottom line is I paid for a service and the job two plus months later has not been completed. Do not use Grumco - you'll regret it. read more

However, at 8:59 AM, Tia called to inform me that the specialist had fallen ill and they were unable to send anyone. They only offered to reschedule, without offering an apology or showing any sense of responsibility. Additionally, during their initial visit to measure the blinds, they did not ring the bell, so I was unaware they had arrived. When they returned for a second attempt, I was unexpectedly charged $50 for the revisit. When I raised these issues, Tia directed me to contact Home Depot for any disputes. While she acknowledged that the appointment cancellation was due to unforeseen illness, I find it perplexing that they confirmed the appointment via text at 8:00 AM for a 9:30 AM arrival, only to cancel so abruptly. I had to take a day off work specifically for their service, only to receive a last-minute cancellation call at 8:59 AM for rescheduling. Horrible customer service. I had a 8-12 window for an install. I spoke with Tia multiple times who wasn't very helpful. Finally she reached out the the tech and she said they be there at noon. Then, I got a text from Blinds.com at 11:45am that they couldn't install my blinds. I had someone waiting at my empty townhouse for 4 hours, just to have to do this again. read more

After receiving payment, they canceled the appointment last minute, refused to reschedule it within a reasonable timeframe, and were condescending and rude when I tried to follow up. The staff were all super pleasant on the phone and throughout the whole process phone,measuring and Mitch installed everything no problem, I think scheduling for every company is tough at this time, they made us aware of the time frames and we were able to have everything done in a reasonable time frame. read more

Scheduled a window measurement through Home Depot, waited a month for the appointment. Appointment time comes and goes with the technician showing up or calling. I called Home Depot for an update. Home Depot contacts Grumco and is told the technician had a doctors appointment, Grumco will be calling me to reschedule. Grumco calls me to reschedule and tells me they are sorry their van had trouble and they couldn't make the appointment (is it a doctors appointment or van trouble?). The next available appointment is next month. I'll never know the quality of their work because I cannot get past the no-show, no communication and the blatant lie. I hope Home Depot can find another vendor, Grumco seems to have some reliability issues. read more

I get it. It's complicated. Jeff came with his laser and note pad - knew his stuff, efficient and engaged. I already knew what I wanted, so I was able to the order the next day - and got a great sale at Home Depot. Production was fast, but the trucking company took forever. They brought the largest roller shade to Seattle. Apparently they lost their way.? The installation took another 3 weeks, bc it was July. PEAK SEASON. Too bad I didn't do this in February. Anyway, I got what I wanted at a great price. But you can't be in a rush....!!! read more

We had significant issues with the installation of shades via The Home Depot vendor, Grumco. The first installation attempt had a great crew, but the order was missing a shade. The second tech who came to install the final shade drilled numerous holes, made a big mess which he didn't clean, and wasn't able to complete the installation as he broke a bracket. We provided feedback and understand the final bracket was ordered. We've now been waiting since April 10th for a response to our feedback - and for the last blind's installation to be completed with the missing bracket. I've followed up several times via phone and email and no one gets back to me - even when they say they will. This is terrible customer service. I do not recommend anyone order blinds or shades installation through The Home Depot and Grumco. read more

We had our shades that we purchased from Home Depot installed by Grumco back in May. The only shade that hasn't been installed is the patio one. We had to wait for parts for that due to the manufacture not putting them in. Well we were suppose to have the patio one installed today 6/28/2018 however the guy Robert was so called double booked and also forgot the parts. Robert had called us after we had called Home Depot. When we called Home Depot and complained the manager blew us off like it was no big deal. Do not use Home Depot to buy blinds especially if they are still using Grumco to install them. They have wasted our time on this and I am very pissed cause I cancelled another appointment to have this installed today. We also called Grumco and they didn't seem to care either. These people called me the morning of my appointment and told me that they are sick and can't make it that day after waiting for 4 weeks. Then they said they didn't have another appointment for another week. So I set that up and now they haven't showed up. I don't want to say it's Home Depot's fault for using them but they should start looking elsewhere for a new installer. This company is a joke and I would not recommend them to anyone and I would of gave them a 0 if I could have! Never used yelp but I really really really can't stand this horrible company. My review is based on the measuring and install of our Home Depot blinds. From past experiences the best job starts with the measuring. From the get go I requested their most experienced and most detailed installer so they recommend Travis. We had to wait extra long for him even though we are available anytime for the work to be done. We only had 5 windows to be done but one very large. Our windows are wood wrapped in a log home, so no making mistakes, not like repairing sheetrock. Travis came to do the measuring and was on time, professional, detailed and efficient - definitely seem to know what he was doing, The measurements were submitted to Home Depot and we were in getting the order done in no time. Blinds were made and ready for pick up very quickly. When I called to schedule install I again specified I wanted Travis to do the install and awaited his availability. We are very pleased with the outcome! Nice tight fit ( we had perfectly plumb walls/window frames) and placed just as expected in our deep windows, they look great! Thank you Travis for your great attention to detail, it's what really makes the difference in the end result! read more

I specifically created an account on Yelp JUST to review this company. They are an absolute nightmare to work with, and fully embody the "not my problem" mindset. If I could give them negative stars, I would gladly do so. We scheduled a measurement with Home Depot in January and Grumco called to schedule an appointment with us. We set the appointment, and I'd asked them to send a confirmation email so we had a record of it. No email was sent. I called to follow up and no one answered and their mailbox was full. I emailed them to get a response. No answer. Their installer arrived on the day they were scheduled to take measurements, but I had forgotten it was happening because no confirmation had been sent (admitting I could have put it in my calendar when the appointment was made, yes, but opted to wait for the email. I own that mistake; something this company could learn from). Their installer had no uniform or indications that he worked for Grumco, and honestly looked extremely sketchy. To the point where I was very wary to let him in our house. He also seemed annoyed that I wanted him to confirm who he was and why he was there. He didn't have a ladder or any tools other than measuring tape, so I also didn't really trust that he was getting accurate measurements. Fast forward to several days later, and we place our order with Home Depot. We apprise them of our concerns, and they comp us the price of the install, which was generous. A few days later, we were sent an email from Grumco with times to schedule an appointment for our blinds. I replied to this email with the time I had chosen, and asked that they confirm this was booked and to provide an estimate as to how long this would take. No answer. I emailed them again several days later to confirm. No answer. I called and again no one answered, and again their mailbox was full. Given how the measurement appointment went, I simply trusted that they were going to get it done. The day of the appointment they didn't show. I called their office only to find out that 1. they failed to schedule our appointment that we had been waiting weeks for claiming they "never heard from us". 2. when asked why they didn't reach out to us in the weeks following to make sure they hadn't missed something they responded with "we have 40-60 customers. I can't be expected to follow up with everyone". and 3. they literally could not care less or be less apologetic about them dropping the ball. If anything, they were defensive, outright rude, and more than willing to pass the blame to the customer. I've been working with Home Depot to get this sorted out, but the best they can do is say they are sorry, give us our blinds to install ourselves, and credit us the price of an install (around $150 for out troubles). While, again, this is generous it doesn't remedy the fact that they continue to use a company that treats customers like this (read the other reviews). I will be telling everyone I know about Grumco, and will be wary of using Home Depot for any installation services going forward. read more
