It gets busy and the pumps and parking fill up at peak times but it turns over quickly so you never have to wait too long. Being so near to I-10 there are often some vagrants and panhandlers around but they have never been aggressive or scary. The staff are quick and efficient so the check-out line moves quickly. They have new Self-Checkout machines that seem to work well. The gas pumps are clean and in good working order. The pump touch screens, electronics, and pay-by-phone devices work most of the time without problems. The nicest thing about RaceTrac is the coffee! They have machines that grind on demand and so the coffee is always fresh. There are several different flavors/varieties and all are pretty good (even the decaf is decent). They used to offer seasonal flavors but the pandemic put an end to that. The store is clean and well kept. Sometimes the pump and parking areas get to be a mess when the trash cans get full. The bathrooms are better than average as convenience store restrooms go. If you go to RaceTrac regularly, download their app and sign up for the Rewards program. As with all the rest, the pumps are clean and the electronics work well. Gassing up is pretty trouble-free most times. The squeegees provided in the pump area are terrible however. You're going to have many customers talking to employees and other fellow customers about politics…read moreand religion. Some of these people are concerned about YOU so they might share their wisdom on say religion to enhance your life. It's about concern and enhancement. Ask what they mean first, before getting very angry. Kicking a customer out of your store, because they are sharing their knowledge with YOU about religion is not appropriate, especially if they have befriended you, they are 45 years your senior, they have incurable stage 4 cancer and you know they have a good heart even towards other customers. This is a nice and fun place to stop into. Quick and easy in and out gas. Lots of beer, drinks and snacks. EVERYONE LOVES the hot food they cook especially the cracklin's. The staff is SUPER nice (especially Matthew), friendly and willing to help every single time.
