Each main dish comes with house salad on the side. You can tell that this restaurant is for local family gathering. They are famous for their pork shoulder dish. We ordered their homemade soups (Horseradish creamy soup and garlic & chive soup - very creative recipe only found at this place :) also ordered spaetzle (Germany egg noodles) with deep fried onions on the top is very interesting dish (one of food must try when visiting Germany. I'm not sure if they really speak much English- we tried to speak only in German and they treated us like locals, conversing all in German with us. FYI- our waitress informed us that there is no service tip included in the total price of our meals, so we gave a tip on top of our meals. This is atypical of our experience in Europe. Got a Rotbier as well. Unfortunately, the spätzle arrived lukewarm, which disappointed me. Looking back, it would've been wiser to have ordered the Franconian dishes on the menu instead. Nevertheless, the beer was pretty good, the ambiance was pleasant, and prices were well-affordable. There's also a beautiful Biergarten right outside, which had a small Christmas market going on when I visited. Would like to return someday to try more of its selection. Let's hope!
