I was a little bit sore, and so I decided that I needed a massage. I came here based on the reviews. Monica was able to take me as a walk-in. I asked if I could take a shower before my massage, but Monica apologized, and explained that they didn't have one. That's fine, some places do, some places don't. The entire place, including the massage room, was spotless, and felt very comfortable. The massage room had subdued lighting, and very relaxing music. I paid for an hour massage, and I got a full hour massage. Monica was very professional, and very good at what she does. I asked for a medium massage, and that's what I got. A little bit firm in a couple of spots, but not too much so. Even when she was a bit firm, it still felt great. She was able to straddle the line between medium and overly firm very well. She was very friendly, and listened very well to my requests. I left feeling great. This is *NOT* one of those "questionable places" that offer "extra services."It was a very professional, very legitimate massage. The price was only $60 for the hour, plus tip. Went here after a 10 mile hike in the redwoods. 30 minute foot massage and my feet feel brand new. Highly highly recommend this place for an excellent massage, they know exactly how to massage the feet at the right pain points. Would come back here if I lived in Eureka. read more

This was by far the most lame massage I've ever had, especially for the price. You walk in and the waiting area is nice, a bit musty in odor, but seems peaceful. The prices are high/average for a massage, $60 for one hour full body massage, but I thought I would give it a try even though I am used to paying about $10-15 less than this. The massage itself was terrible/useless. It consisted of large quantities of oil being gently applied to my skin. It's as if the masseuse had zero strength or zero competence in understanding that to rub a muscle you have to put in some form of effort. The only firm part was when she used her forearm to run along my body, of course hitting every bone possible painfully, as if the purpose was to hit the bones, so weird. Thankfully she only did a few runs of that technique. Honestly, I don't understand how I lay there for an entire hour being oiled, hoping that something she would do would help my sore muscles. When she walked out to get a towel to rub away the copious amounts of oil, she left the door open and the towel off of me, the doorway can actually can be seen from the waiting area, so I didn't appreciate my butt being exposed for whomever to see. When another customer walked in, she left me to go tend to him for a few minutes, which I also didn't appreciate because at $60/hour that's basically 2-3 dollars of my wasted money. At the end, my body felt like it had been given an hour of oiled carressing (similar to a well basted turkey), but my muscles still ached for a good massage so I rubbed my own neck, shoulders, legs and what I could reach while sitting in my car. I didn't give any tip. Normally I give $20 for a tip even if the massage wasn't the best, but this one wasn't worth the money I paid and certainly not worth anything extra. I do not recommend giving this place a try. Maybe others there are better, but at that price it's not worth finding out, and you may end up with the woman that I got, which means you're gonna pay $60 to be prepped like a bird going into the oven. read more
