Would definitely rent from him again if we are ever in the area!

I called Bryan and he was totally fine with us being early. It ended up taking us an hour longer than we thought to drop our car off at Barton Park. But Bryan was waiting for us when we got there. The process was very easy and fast. He had everything ready for us and offered us life jackets since we didn't have quite enough for our group. The tubes were a lot of fun and held up, even going over some parts that were shallow and rocky. We will rent from Bryan again if we float the river again. Great experience!

A few years ago the…read moredowntown area went through a massive renovation which included improvements to this park along with the creation of the Lake View Village retail complex. My favorite time to visit is on a Saturday morning in the summer when the Farmer's Market is open, but it is a gorgeous spot year round. You can pick up a pastry from St. Honoré Boulangerie or a latte from Peet's and enjoy it on the park benches overlooking the lake. Bliss. There are two levels. An upper plaza, complete with a fire pit, grassy area and old growth trees, next to the shops and restaurants of the village. There is a pergola, with kitchen, you can rent for private parties. This area is also used for many festivals and outdoor concerts throughout the year. The lower plaza is at lake level and has a water feature for the kids in the summer months under the wings of Fortuna (see photo). In fact, there is wonderful public art throughout Lake Oswego, with at least ten pieces in this location. Pick up an art walk map from one of the shops and take a walking tour of the city's 'gallery without walls.' Pioneer Square is Portland's living room. Millennium Plaza is Lake Oswego's great room.

As far as an open space that allows for public use (unlike the private lake right next door) Millennium Plaza Park probably serves some good purposes. The photo on the website shows a bunch of people laying on blankets on the concrete - likely to watch a movie in the park or something. Not sure how comfortable that would be. I definitely wouldn't bring my crew here to post up on the grass and play Frisbee or have a picnic or anything. But I can't say I wouldn't take advantage of a park bench and maybe the longing view of the lake that you can't swim in without permission. _________________________ Update - After reading Jen K's review, it seems I only visited 1/2 of this park. We brought Mike in very late to a major backyard overhaul we were doing, and he figured out a way to work us into his schedule to keep our project moving forward. He helped us with the design, provided an accurate bid based on our specs, and delivered the work exactly as we outlined and to our satisfaction. He also did a great job working with our landscape contractor to coordinate the concrete work he was responsible for with the grading and retaining wall work that they were doing. In addition, I've called Mike back on a couple of occasions to adjust and tune up our rebounder and ball containment system, and he and his team have responded immediately to make it look and function like it was brand new. It's really nice to have a contractor stand behind their work. We have friends who have also used Sport Court of Oregon, and they are extremely pleased with the results. Good luck with your project! Adding the Sport Court into our backyard to get our kids outside and playing has been well worth the investment.

After over 3 months of emails back and forth to schedule the repair, and in the middle of them, a change of ownership at Sport Court of Oregon, they now won't fix it or help with it at all. Bart Dickson the new owner came out to find what he called a "win-win" which ended up being denying all responsibility despite his employee admitting it was their fault and they would fix it. He fabricated a story that we selected wood for the material so it's our fault, which I have paperwork showing that's not the case. They sent us an email with contractors to call to figure it out on our own. Note, prior to the change of ownership, they had been wonderful to work with. Buyer beware if you ever have an issue under the new ownership. They will gladly take your money but you're on your own if something goes wrong, even if they admit it was their error.

This park was renovated too in 2010 and it still looks brand new! The playground equipment felt fun and unique and everything was very clean. There is a large lawn for lawn games and also nice dog park area for the doggies. This park is also connected to the Jordan Woods natural area, with a paved trail and a nice little lookout. We drive here from Hillsboro and our dog loves it. We've also met other dog owners here and they are all so nice!
