Absolute best tour company to go with if you want to see Oregon coast and waterfalls. Booking online was easy and they answered plenty of my questions via phone/Ms. Cheyenne was awesome with being so kind and pleasant to speak with. The prices for the waterfalls and Oregon coast tours were so reasonable. On Memorial Day 2025, I went on the Oregon Coast tour. Initially, the weather was overcast skies and we ran into light rain on the way, but it cleared up nicely. I surprisingly met fellow Texans on the tour with me, they were from my favorite part of TX too (West). We instantly connected when I told them I used to live in Lubbock and was a Red Raider! The other people on the tour was delightful too. For our first tour, we had guide, David. David was very knowledgeable about the trees. He talked about them a lot. He knew small details about the flowers, history of the roads, the state park, and just about everything, but especially trees. I almost thought he got a degree in Forestry to be that keen in the subject. David gave ample amount of time to shop/eat in Seaside, OR. I didn't eat since I had a huge breakfast and had no idea what restaurants were vegan. The following day, I went on the waterfalls tour with guide, Joe. Joe was AH-MAZING!!! He was so funny and made an accommodation to allow me to charge my phone along the way (since I did a full day of exploring Portland by foot and forgot to pack my charger). I understood my 90s references too which was cool. Joe was informative about the history, how the falls got their names, he identified goldstar lichen (even gave me the correct pronunciation of the word), and allowed plenty of time to explore. I loved how kind and helpful he was each time assisting an elderly disabled lady to and from the van. These tour guides don't have to be from Portland or even Oregon to provide a 5-star, A+, and solid in the bag tour of the most stunning attractions. I had a tour company, Sea to Summit/guide Josh (partial native Josh) tell me not to trust Wildwood for that very reason, but get this, Sea to Summit couldn't even find a party of four or more to pair me with on the waterfalls tour. They tried to contract with EcoTours with Jeff and again, not even was he able to get people to go. They kept telling me to wait and call back in five days, but they never had anything! Now what does that tell you?! Trust Wildwood Adventures, you won't be disappointed and you'll get your monies worth! As a solo traveler, I felt safe, comfortable, and enjoyed myself immensely. I met friends on this tour (that I spotted yesterday at Pittock Mansion; they called me by name). Thank you Wildwood Adventures for being so dependable!!

Waterfalls, vistas, history and humor with Patrick! Fantastic outing and great customer service.

Big shoutout to Nico for leading such a fun and insightful tour yesterday Learned so much and found some new favorite spots. 10/10 would tour again. Great pace, provided water on the hot day! Will definitely do another tour again when we travel back! Thanks Nico!!

Our tour guide was David and he was awesome!! We did the 4hrs. Waterfall tour and he picked us up directly from our Airbnb rental on time and he also made sure we got back to our place for our requested arrival time. He was very knowledgeable about Oregon, entertaining, funny and helpful during our tour. The van was very clean, AC was great, our party of 6 fit comfortably in the private van during our tour. Reservations was easy and smooth via site. David even made sure we had all great photos on all the waterfalls we stopped by at. I'll definitely refer Wildwood Adventures to anyone visiting Oregon! Go with Wildwood tour and you'll be in good hands!

EVAN, our gracious tour guide, made our half-day waterfall tour a pleasant, informative, and unforgettable experience. He was kind, knowledgeable, and passionate about the outdoors. The ride was clean and luxurious. The views were breathtaking and full of wonder. We learned about Portland, the geological formation of the gorge, and the some history about the intersection of the European settlers and the local native America. peoples. Great trip! Evan is the man!

We had an excellent adventure with Joe! Who knew such natural beauty was so close to Portland. Pickup was on time at our hotel in downtown Portland and it was a quick drive with our international companions to the first stop. We loved all the waterfalls and Joe's commentary was informative and friendly. We learned a lot while breathing in some of the freshest air in the country. We highly recommend.

Our guide Johan was amazing. Knowledgeable, funny and an excellent driver. The Columbia river and Multnomah waterfalls were spectacular. Very grateful for Johan as our guide.

This was a great company to book a tour with. Jake the tour guide was awesome. Knew a lot of history about Portland and the Columbia River Gorge. We totally recommend going with this company.

My husband and I flew in for a quick weekend getaway to Portland. For some reason we have never visited in all our lives living just a state away in California. After visiting the Visitor's Center downtown, Wildwood Adventures was recommended as a great tour company. We called over and the friendly person answered all of our questions and helped us get set up for a four hour Sunday afternoon Gorge and Waterfalls tour. We were picked up at our hotel promptly at the specified time and were greeted by our awesome tour guide Deana (pronounced Deena). I could tell right away by her friendly greeting that we were going to have a fun adventure. The van fit around twelve and I think we had about ten people. Everyone was nice and we enjoyed learning some fun Portland facts while heading out to our first stop at the Vista point. Deana offered to take pictures at each stop and knew exactly how to capture the perfect photo. She even showed me how to capture the essence of a waterfall pic with a lengthwise panoramic. Who knew! We made our way to a few different falls including the famous Multanomah falls. There were plenty of bathroom stops along the way and some gift shops and snack places. The last stop on the tour was the Bonneville Hatchery, home of the famous Sturgeon Herman! You really have to see him to believe how amazing an 81 year old, 600 plus pound fish is! The ride was smooth the whole time, the water and hazelnuts were always available and appreciated and the fun facts were interesting during the tour. Overall, I totally recommend the tour, especially if you have Deana as your guide. Her laugh is infectious and her friendliness is genuine. She really wants to make sure her guests enjoy their time in Oregon. Thanks Deana for a tour we will remember for a long time to come...especially because the waterfall photo you took with us in it will be on this year's holiday card!

Daniel our driver was very knowledgeable. It was a great tour to see the waterfalls. Even made an extra stop at the fruit stand. Would definitely recommend this tour.

    Coastline

Mel and Andy were wonderful tour guides during our coastal tour. Not only do I want to go back to the places we visited, I want you to try the other tours.

$139 for an whole day tour covering Mt Hood, Hood River, a picturesque fruit stand, three water falls, and vista house. Our tour guide, Daniel(?) sorry i have goldfish memory, was funny and knowledgeable. Highly recommend if you look for a day with lots of stuffs to see minus driving and parking!

This review is for the all-day waterfall tour that includes a trip to Mt Hood. Malloy picked us up at our downtown hotel in a 12-person van. After another stop, the van was full -- even the passenger seat was taken. With limited walking, the tour is suitable for people of all ages -- and we were the youngest on the trip. Our first stop was Latourell Falls which drops 250 feet straight down. There was a short walk up a paved trail to get a closer view of the falls. While the perspective of the falls is better from the bottom, it's definitely worth the extra walk. Normally this isn't the first stop on the tour but the Falls closed early the last few weeks due to the large number of visitors. We then backtracked a bit and got on the Columbia River Highway, built early 1900's and the first planned scenic roadway in the U.S. According to legend, it was designed around the Model-T so they wouldn't scrape on the many bumps (or something like that). It's designated a Scenic Byway, an All-American Road, a National Historic Landmark, and even a Civil Engineering Landmark - some call it the "King of the Roads." We stopped at Crown Point Vista House which sits 1000 feet above the Columbia River and has spectacular views of the Gorge. Check out the bathrooms which are covered in imported marble. The next stop was Multnomah Falls; which is a two-drop fall. It's the highest waterfall in Oregon and second highest in the U.S. (Yosemite Falls is the highest). We stopped for lunch in Hood River which is considered the Windsurfing Capital of the World. There's a fun story about how Hood River was originally called Dog River until a pioneer woman named Mary Coe intervened. There are several breweries in town but we had lunch at Boda's Kitchen -- it was fast and good which gave us time to explore. The last stop of the day was Timberline Lodge, which is at 6K feet elevation on Mt. Hood. It's home of the movie "The Shining" and you can ask for an ax that's behind the reception counter. (Insert your own "Here's Johnny" joke.) We decided to take a walk up the ski slopes but forgot we were at elevation -- it's harder than you think. The ride back to Portland is about 1.5 hours from here. Take a nap or chat with Malloy. He has some great stories. Tours might not be for everyone but I enjoyed not having to worry about directions and hearing history from a local.

We got there a little early and saw that there was also paper waivers you could sign if you hadn't gotten to the electronic one. We left promptly on time, so get there early! The tour went really smoothly, just remember: *Be respectful to your tour guide *Don't weirdly interrupt with side jokes *Don't talk to the people within your group while the guide is talking *For the love of all that is holy, stop fidgeting when the tour guide is talking. *It is insanely annoying and ultimately so rude. There are low spaces, very dark/low visibility areas, uneven floors, steep and narrow stairs and low hanging pipes. If you can't maneuver regular stairs, this tour isn't for you. Our guide's name was Skippy- I believe, they were great! The group I was with had done this tour 5 times already and they said this tour guide was the best one yet. At the end of the tour there is a tip jar that you can tip your guide or they provide their Venmo as well. IDs are checked at the beginning of the tour only for the people who plan to partake in the beer tasting that is at the tail end of the tour (not in the restuarant). After the tour I got the non-alcoholic option and ordered a mango flavored Italian soda with cream, which was incredible!!
