I have used Guarantee Vacuum for years about 9 to be exact for my first vacuum when I got married. I've since gone to them for vacuum bags, a carpet cleaner, vacuum upgrade, and adding an additional vacuum for hardwood floors. I've had plenty of experience with their customer service what with going there specifically to support a local families business for all of my vacuuming and carpet cleaning needs. I can tell you that I haven't been in in awhile because my husband typically grabs bags because he works in Kokomo. On occasion there has been one woman who is not so pleasant to run into that works in there. I don't know her name but she always seems to have a chip on her shoulder. I've just brushed off the attitude in the past because I liked the store and the way the run it. Today I decided to bring in my carpet cleaner to see if they would trade it in for an upgrade to a new carpet cleaner. I spoke with one woman in there that told me to bring it in and they would take a look at it. I walked out to my car grabbed the carpet cleaner and brought it in. Before I can even talk to the same woman a man came out of the doors from the back and overheard me say to a different guy who asked me if he could help me that I was told they take trades on carpet cleaners. The guy that came out of the back chuckled at me and said we don't do trade-ins on carpet cleaners I wouldn't be able to sell that for even $10 without skipping a beat. I said I wish I would've known that before I hauled the carpet cleaner inside. He then proceeded to repeat himself saying yeah we can't sell that for even $10. He also mentioned that people don't like used carpet cleaners which I can understand. However, it might be more to your benefit to politely say sorry ma'am we don't sell used carpet cleaners. I only had the thought to bring mine in because I thoroughly clean it inside and outside after every use. I'm extremely disappointed to have been spoken to the way I was. I ended up taking the carpet cleaner back out to my car after being rudely told they don't take them. I walked back in to look at the new carpet cleaners to see if there was one there that I wanted. Stood over in the corner for about three minutes which yes was not very long, but after that man being extremely rude for no reason I was pretty aggravated. No one came over to help me or assist me even though they had several people that were free. I noticed a tag on the actual carpet cleaner that I was looking at the saying that their price was cheaper than what was on the internet. I had time to stand there and look it up and found it for cheaper online. It's a bit sad to me to be treated this way but the demeanor was extremely snotty and that's no way to treat customers. I don't particularly like taking my business online if I don't have to but Guarantee vacuum has officially lost my business. I always thought this place would be expensive. I was sick of wasting money at "the big box stores" on vacuums every year for them only to break. I actually called this place to see if they could repair a shark vac (of course shark makes it to where you have to pay to send it to shark themselves instead of being fixed) and learned that this place has vacuums starting at 40 dollars. So we went into the store a few days later to check them out and bought a vacuum from them. The best thing is, if you buy a vacuum from them, and it breaks, you take it up to them and they fix it right there for you!!! No shipping and No sending to a random place to who knows where. I spoke to Gary on the phone, when we went in, everyone was super nice and Gary was there and sold us our new vacuum. AND guess what?! they even threw in a whole box of vacuum bags for FREE. It was on a saturday, and by the time we got home and opened it and put it together, we noticed it did not have the right head attatchment (it is a canister) so i called the store and left a vocie message on the answering machine about the box not having the right attatchment in it. I woke up on monday morning to a voicemail saying to come on in and pick up the right one, no problem. My boyfriend ran to there after he got off work to exchange the wrong one for the right one, and they told him to just go ahead and keep the wrong one!!! They both fit the vacuum but the wrong one did not have wheels, and a red strip of duster on it, but it still fits the new vacuum. This place has went above and beyond helping us and making sure we got what we needed and wanted. I will go back here to buy bags and whatever else i may need because they were so helpful, and i am telling all of my friends whom have been wasting money on throw away vacuums all these years, to check this place out before they buy a vacuum anywhere else not only because of price, but also the service they provide. thank you read more

Everyone was nice, especially the first time we went in. Bought a demo vacuum. Expected all parts to be there. The beater was broken, belt was also. A piece to connect the handle to small brush, crevice piece, etc. was missing. The second time the man was nice about replacing the broken parts. The third time another gentleman was not as nice. Even my husband said he was rude. The guy said that's what you get with vacuums made in China. He was upset that we bothered them again, I guess. As far as the China remark, if he wants to complain, he shouldn't sell machines made there. That upset me. Otherwise I like going in when we need something. read more

I have shopped at this establishment many times, and I have found the staff to be knowledgeable and helpful every time. The product selection is very good, and the service department is very reasonable. I have a friend who lives out of state, and she waits until she comes to Kokomo to have her sewing machine serviced, because they are less than half the price of her local dealer. Incredibly clean store as well...which I guess is understandable considering the goods they sell. Definitely recommend. read more
