So I paid on Dec 12th for my wife's Christmas present. It was your mistake sending the wrong item. You asked if I could send the item I received to the correct person but you never gave me an address or label. You said the other person would send my item. After a couple of days of no response I started a return hoping I would at least get an update. The response was go ahead and return it and you will send my item. No further communication but I see ebay is issuing a refund which I don't want. You received my return of the garnet you sent by mistake but I have no idea where my gold earrings are. I am pretty sure I won't have these for Christmas. You should be ashamed of your lack of response. You said you were really busy well good for you. I used the contact form on your website as well and left my email and cell number but no one has bothered. Really unbelievable. After stopping in Gold Fever the day before with a piece of 14 Kt. gold jewelry, I was given a quote as to how much she would pay. (she was not the owner) I went back the next day to sell the piece and was offered only 1/3 the money FOR THE SAME PIECE including 3 more pieces I added to be sold! This person didn't take any time at all coming back to me with this quote. I told her what the previous quote was and to check with the previous person, she didn't. She went back to the scales, looked at the piece again and quoted the exact price I told her the previous lady quoted me. WHAT A SWINDLER! I had a new shank put on a ring that I had worn for 40+ years. The cost was $150.00 with a 1 year guaranteed. A couple of days after the repair was done my ring started turning brown and slightly rough where the shank had been soldered on. I took the ring back and was told to just polish it and the brown would come off but the solder was porous and it would turn brown again if I used lotion or any chemical on my hand. I was also told that chlorine from a pool would eat the solder. So basically I could not wear my ring any longer unless I wanted to remove it often. My wedding bands have been soldered together for decades and have been in and out of pools and immersed in household chemicals with no effect. I checked with 2 other jewelers and was told that the solder was done wrong, there was to much solder and it had been heated to high. I ended up spending another $35.00 to get my ring repaired by another jeweler since I didn't trust Gold Fever to repair it correctly. When I went back after the repair to tell them that they might want to reconsider who they have doing their repairs I was told that they have used the same person for 30 years without a single complaint. I find that hard to believe. There was never a mention of the guarantee or an offer to repair my ring. I will not be using Gold Fever of Kokomo IN as my jeweler and will tell my friends about my experience there. read more
