Worst Move of My Life -- Everything Destroyed I have moved…read moremany times in my life -- across states, even across countries -- and I have never experienced anything as horrible as this company. When my belongings arrived, every single box was crushed. The ones clearly labeled "fragile" were smashed beyond repair. My furniture was treated like garbage -- not a single piece arrived without stains, dents, or serious damage. One item even looked like it had been kicked, with a large gash at the bottom. Wardrobe boxes that I had purchased from U-Haul and carefully packed were destroyed. The driver admitted he was embarrassed to deliver them in that condition, and then tried to act like he was doing me a favor by repacking my clothes -- which he completely ruined. Many of my clothes with sentimental and financial value were dumped into boxes like trash. Some may be saved with expensive dry cleaning, but most are ruined forever. The movers themselves were polite in person, but the way my belongings were handled was beyond negligent -- it was outright careless. The only thing that wasn't destroyed was my Peloton bike, which they clearly knew they'd be liable for. Everything else was fair game. This company shows zero respect for their customers' belongings. If you care about your furniture, clothes, or anything of value, stay far, far away from Weleski Transfer. They turned what should have been a normal move into an absolute nightmare.

I begrudgingly tipped the guy I thought was in charge of the crew and watched him pocket the cash. Got the feeling he didn't split it with the rest of the guys. Left a very bad impression. I worked for tips for years and it's extremely unethical to steal tips. I'll never deal with this moving company again.

In Penn Hills, I always drive by the Defender Penn Hills location (Frankstown Rd) and it looks small but it really is a much larger facility. Very secure and appears clean. They have several size units to choose from. I went with the 10 X 10. Robert, the manager is friendly and thorough with the details of the rental. Also they are military friendly so it was indeed a pleasure to work with Robert. Good value, close to home location, expert service, clean and equipment available to move things into the unit.

They where to move a total of maybe 10 items at 150$ with a 2 hr min 11 miles. No one ever showed up or contacted us, and still hasn't 3 days later. I have made numerous attempts to contact the company, and all I get is an answering machine with no call back. I would not recommend this moving company to anyone, as they will damage your belongings, and not attempt to make it right. Bad experience!

A little annoyed we got one minor ding in a wall, but over all. Didn't seem to bad. Over the weeks, we went to setup more rooms, more furniture, etc. A LOT of my furniture has new scratches and dents that I didn't notice from a quick glance. None of it catastrophic, but extremely frustrating. Despite this, they were still polite and professional. Didn't charge too much. A little more care, and it's be 5/5, perfect.

The pins needed to hold up the shelves are missing. Isaiah told me they were in my old home office tape together in a ball. I went back there and found nothing anywhere I looked. Afraid to sleep on either bed that they reassembled. I removed the photos and changed the rating because Jerome from Moving ahead did an excellent job of correcting all our issues. I view the measure of a company not only on the original work but how they handle any issues that occur from the move. Moving Ahead Services did an excellent job correctly every issue we had.
