If you value your property do not store your things at this facility. We learned the hard way that insurance does not cover damage done by mold or mildew to your property. We had all of our house hold items stored in two climate controlled units from an out of state move- when we noticed damage to many of our things after only two months. Climate control did not protect our property. The facility is filthy. There were bugs at the bottom of boxes we opened, holes in woolen sweaters, and jackets that had not been there before. There was mold growing on shirts, pants and the linings of boots and purses. There was mold and mildew in the interior of bureaus and side tables The stench was horrible. A new television armoire had stains on the back of it that had never been there before.There was even mold on our wooden cutting boards! We spent hundreds of dollars on dry cleaning, cleaning supplies, repairs and dozens of trips to the laundromat. Sometimes I would run a load 3-4 times to get the stench out. We threw out 1/2 of our clothes and books. We had to pay a junk removal service to dispose of the furniture, mattresses and other items that were damaged. We paid another mover to move our things to another storage facility. It took over 10 weeks to go through most of our items. When I brought these problems to management's attention the manager Javon said," how do I know you didn't bring this mold with you in the truck or from your old home?" I asked them for help with moving or disposing of items. John the district manger offered help at first and then reneged. I spent hours on the phone with my insurance company only to be denied. We found Guardian to be extremely negligent. On leaving the facility the last time I noticed a cockroach at the front door. That about sums up my experience of the place. read more

I have no complaints about this storage facility. It's always clean and well kept..and the staff are always helpful when needed.

After requesting information the manager called me multiple times a day at absurdly unprofessional hours, like 10pm on a Sunday night. When we came to the unit to load it the office was closed and there was a lock on the door for our unit despite us paying for it and following the instructions in the email. We wasted time and money loading a truck that we will have to pay extra for multiple days for. This business is an absolute scam. read more

My husband and I don't write a lot of review but this one need to be write and people have to know how this guardian storage is the one they need if they want the best service! Beginning of February we were looking to rent a new and big storage for the next month and the guardian storage in Forrest hill had a very good promotion, half price during 6 months! We were in need to start the rent for the end on the month of March and Richard agreed to postpone the promotion for the next month which was really nice of him. Unfortunately because of the COVID-19 we were not able to move in because everything business is shut done since mid-March but again this guardian storage is amazing I called them to asked if they can keep our unit and the price until everything is back to normal and they accepted which was so nice of them. Personal long- story happened at the end of the month of March during the middle of the pandemic our landlord which is also our employer decided to increase our rent of $200 and unfortunately because I lived above the business we decided to left our job and our apartment due to a disagreement. So I called Richard explained to him that we had an emergency and we can't wait anymore that we need the storage as soon as possible and we absolutely need a truck to moved our stuff. Richard decided to open the business and start the contract right away and rent us the truck of the society. So now thanks to Richard my moving is almost done, all our furniture is safe in our storage and thanks to the generosity of American people ( we are from France and we don't have a family here!) we found a new apartment . If you are in need for a storage please keep in mind that the guardian storage in Forrest hill have the best customer service and certainly the best, protected and cleaner units in Pittsburgh and suburbs and the icing on the cake it's their employees they are the most helpful, professional and kindest people. This is the second year we have used this location for college storage for my daughter and her friends. I would recommend this location, it is clean and easily accessible. The manager Richard is extremely helpful. We live out of town and he is always easy to talk to and ask questions. If I could give 6 stars I would. read more
