Outstanding service at the Gucci store in Charleston! We had an exceptional experience working with Jazmine. She helped us select a beautiful Gucci handbag and a men's belt, and her service was truly second to none. She was knowledgeable, professional, patient, and incredibly helpful. Her expertise in styling the handbags, including showing us how to tie scarves to enhance the look, was such a wonderful touch. She is a true asset to the Gucci team. The store itself was absolutely beautiful -- well appointed, clean, modern, and welcoming. The displays were elegant, the atmosphere was refreshing, and every detail reflected the quality and sophistication you expect from Gucci. We felt welcomed and valued throughout our visit. We did have the items shipped to our home in New York, and unfortunately the boxes arrived today in deplorable condition. This was clearly not the fault of the Gucci Charleston store, but rather an issue with the carrier. Since this was a special purchase, we would greatly appreciate it if someone from Gucci could contact us regarding the possibility of receiving a replacement handbag box. Lackluster experience when compared with Gucci locations around the country. No clothing, minimal bags and not accommodating. Highly recommend skipping this location and visiting Phipps Plaza, Aspen or any boutique in Las Vegas. read more

We came in to browse and looked at a few crossbody purses and then moved onto shoes. I asked the sales woman if they had any Womens slides because they didn't have any on display. She showed me the one style they had in stock and I decided to try them on. They were so cute and comfortable I had to get them!! The staff here were all very friendly and made you feel welcome. My nose was bothering me as I waited for my turn to enter the Louis Vuitton store and I decided to come in here since they did not have a line outside the door. You have to wait for an employee to come to the door to let you in. The store is spaciously filled with Gucci products from shoes to bags to scarf's to sunglasses. The men's section is about 30% of the store. To be honest I was underwhelmed with the offerings. The merchandise is mainly brown's and black. A lot of the same, and everything of course, is branded to the hilt. That's not me, if I am about to drop mega money on a product it has to be understated and I have to love it. The merchandise was in my opinion boring and dated. Kinda old lady like. Do shoppers really love bold brash branding. I guess so, I guess that's why Gucci & the like does so well. Anyway, enough of my opinions. The store is fine, if that's your thing. The staff are a little pushy and do discreetly follow you around the store asking repeatedly if you need assistance. I bought some earrings from the Rodeo Drive location about a year ago. Unfortunately, the GG's fell off one earring. Soooo disappointing! I stopped in before Christmas to see if they could be repaired. Rick, the store manager, offered to send them for repair free of charge. He said it could take a while (up to 3 months to get them back). Ugh! So I opted to come go back in January, after the holidays :) , to turn them in. Gucci at the Shops of Charleston Place in Charleston on Market Street is a great place to shop for cool fashion. I really like their shoes and other accessories. I really like all of their large portrait poster displays outside their store that seems to change every three months or so as they seem to transport you to a different world when you are walking by and always seems to bring a smile to my face. This store is great and I am happy that Charleston has a location that we can shop at. read more

They had a lot of merchandise on display unlike the Louis Vuitton store next door. The sales girl that helped us was the nicest and most down to earth salesperson that has ever helped me in any store. She helped me pick out the perfect bag and wallet. I made an appt on line and showed up at the designated time. There were at least 20 people waiting in line. A few different employees were managing the door. I let each of them know I had an appt (there was also another person waiting for the same appointment time) but they just shrugged and said they would see what they could do. I stopped in here, again on a mission, one afternoon. I really wanted to look at a belt that has been all the rage lately and inquire about purchasing. I saw I was being watched when I entered but no one said hello or asked if I needed anything. Funny enough, it seemed like one of the associates noticed I was carrying a shopping bag from another luxury store and immediately came over and struck up a conversation with me. Either way, once he made his way over to me, he was very helpful in figuring out sizing for the belt that I needed and became visibly more interested when he realized I was planning on making a purchase. I do have to image there are a lot of people who just browse these stores, so maybe that's why they are burnt out on the chit chat. Overall, I wish the staff had been more friendly from the get-go but they had a nice variety of goods, the store was clean and well lit, and my transaction went smoothly, so I can't complain too much. read more

It's a nice looking store, we were greeted when we walked in by a sales associate who was assisting customers, however, a different sales associate that asked us if we needed help made us very uncomfortable, He was looking at us up and down and he just stood around watching us, but was trying to pretend like he wasn't. I love Gucci bags but will NEVER visit this location again. I stopped in around 11:30 am on December 6th, 2018 to pick up a new wallet. Even though I was the only customer in the store I was not greeted promptly by either of the SA's. When I was finally greeted (not in a friendly manner and from across the room) neither associate actually came over to assist me in a purchase. The SA's ignored me and held a personal conversation the entire time I was browsing. After 5 minutes of waiting for one of them to assist me I grew frustrated and went down the mall to Louis Vuitton, where I was immediately assisted with my purchase. We came in with a friend after waiting patiently in an extensive line and the sales associate did not realize we were still waiting and only helped our friends. After waiting without help for quite some time, I inquired if we needed to get in line to receive an associate to help us. Another male associate, who previously had been short on customer service during a prior purchase, came out and then told us that we came in with people we were not really with and they would get to us when they had time. Very nice leather goods, sunglasses, belts. Yes you can find online sales for Gucci merchandise, but not the selection, especially the latest items. This is not Zappos. If I could give this store zero stars I would. I was so excited to go get my first pair of Gucci sandals today and I was very shocked with the costumer service I received. I walked in the store with one of my friends to try on a pair of shoes that I had wanted. I went to find an associate and I was rudely greeted. I told him that I was looking for shoes because I was interested in trying on a couple of pairs. He proceeds to say,"Are you looking to purchase or to just look and try them on?" I was completely shocked by this response and followed him to where the shoes were. I showed him which ones I wanted to try on and he went to the back to get my size. He told me that the smaller size looked better on me and when I disagreed, he gave me a weird look. I told him that I liked the sandals and that I wanted to buy them. Mind you I never looked at the price tag because I know how much these shoes cost. I have been a loyal customer of all things Gucci and I was very disgusted with how I was treated. I had to do two separate transactions and he was giving me a hard time and made it seem like I was wasting his time. After I had paid for them I went on my way. I then decided to go back to the store because I wanted them shipped to my home in Chicago. I had called prior and talked to Lauren, who was very accommodating. I reluctantly went back to the store and saw the same man who completely belittled me only an hour prior. He said, "Lauren told me you were coming back and I figured that you wanted them shipped because you thought there was going to be a price change." After I said, "No I just want them shipped to my house." He said, "Well do you want to ship them back because you do not want to carry your bag." I was shocked. I did not know how to respond. I am 18 years old and own MANY luxury items and I have never been this belittled in my life. I will NEVER recommend this store to anyone. It should not matter your age, how you are dressed and how you present yourself. If you want to buy luxury items you should not have to be dressed up to par.
